[Remedy]

"Ah." she said, nodding.  She followed next to him as he paced, her eyes darting from shadow to shadow.  She hated the Slums at night, and only tensed up more and more with each sound of a scurrying rat.  She heard the voices of two men across the street and grabbed Ion's pantleg to pull him out of the opening of the alleyway until the voiced died down.  "Be careful," she hissed to him as a reminder.

Ion moved with her, not wanting to make her angry or rip his pants. He looked down at her, not understanding why she was being so...protective? No one ever cared about him, or what happened to him. So he wasn't use to this kind of behavior. He looked back down at the tube once he seemed to be a good distance back in the alleyway. It seemed that his last potion had failed, and he had such high hopes for it. His expression changed to sadness, he was never going to get it right.

[Remedy]

Cortona looked up at Ion.  "Are you okay?" she asked softly, seeing that he seemed a bit upset.  She followed his gaze to the shattered glas and the potion and looked at it.  She began to wonder why Ion would come in need of a potion.  Did he buy it?  Did he mix it?  What had it been for?  She decided that, althrough she wanted to, now may not be the right time to ask.

Ion breathed in and looked at her.
"Fine, fine." He replied.
He kept his self from looking at the shattered remains that was the test tube. He didn't want to think about it anymore. He smiled, to help reassure he was fine. He rubbed the back of his neck and looked up, there was still much night left. Where they just going to stay here all night?
"So, should we wait here all night?" He asked, looking to her confused.

[Remedy]

Cortona shrugged.  "I don't know.  We can go ahead and go, but I'm not letting you go alone." she said.  "They normally won't bother pets but with humans, they'll rob you." she explained.  She peeked her head out and looked back and forth down the dimly lit street, then turned back to Ion and whispered, "There's no one out there.  If you wanna go we'd better move now."

Ion nodded and pointed to her.
"Your right, we should go now." He said, waving the finger up and down.
He looked around real quick, seeing if there was anything he or even she was forgetting. When he didn't see anything he turned back around and smiling to her.
"Lets head out, we can spend the night at my house." He said, walking out of the alleyway.

[Remedy]

Cortona nodded and followed him out of the alleyway, looking around for anything suspicious.  Of course, the entire setting they were in was suspicious, but she was mostly watching for people.  She looked by an alley they were about to pass and saw a shadow appearing from it.  She stopped and let out a low growl, and the shadow disappeared. "Be careful..." she whispered to Ion.

Ion ignored her growling, didn't even acknowledge it at all. He just kept walking on. And in no time he was already at the next alleyway. Just as he started to walk in front of the entrance to the alleyway, something came flying out and close lined him. He was knocked on his back, groaning lightly. He looked up to see a girl in a cream hoodie.

"Oh sorry, did I hit you?" She asked sarcastically.
She gave him an evil smile and leaned on the 2x4 she had hit him with. Ion groaned again and dropped his head on the cement. That had knocked his brain around a but. And he was a bit out of it.

[Remedy]

Cortona snarled at the attacker, ready to fight.  She bared her sharp canine theeth at the girl and growled.  A few thoughts ran through her mind as she stood there, though.  She was surprised that this was a female attacker.  In the Slums, though, you may not know what to expect of people, but still...  And that tone.  "What's your problem?!" Cortona asked, growling.
