As Navvos swiped his ID card to unlock the door, he glanced back at Teruka. Taking a chance, he said, "Now, I warn you...a woman as beautiful as you has never been past this point. So you may need to take some extra precautions to protect yourself." He added a slight wink at the end, although the confident effect was probably lost as he blushed furiously.

Stepping inside, Navvos saw the familiar sight that greeted him nearly every morning. Various charts hung at their designated areas, bearing titles such as, "Experiment 20934" or "Failed; Attempt at Lower Temperature". And then there were the unidentifiable objects in jars of formaldehyde, much like one would find in a science classroom. However, unlike a science classroom, these were actually to be used in the experiments and not simply for observation.

Navvos passed by all of these relatively quickly - he was fairly sure that none of this would astonish Teruka. However, the serums and liquid mixtures in beakers and other glass of various sizes and shapes would probably be more interesting, once explained.

Pausing in front of them, Navvos held one up. "This, is our number one reason for being here. With these different potions and the right tests and experiments, we can do any number of things. We can create potions that allow two creatures of the same species to reproduce, or allow parents to have litters of only one gender. Of course, these have far greater uses, as well..."

((Yeah, I know the potions are technically supposed to be magic-made and not science-made, but I always imagined Navvos being part of the team that made the potions and discovered their uses xD))

Luckily Teruka stifled a small gasp after he said that.  No woman as beautiful as her?  This man just was full of surprises!  She smiled as he blushed lightly, but pretended not to notice.  As they stepped inside the lab, she was amazed at all the paperwork, research, and different experiments  Sure, she might not have understood it all, but that didn't mean she couldn't see all the work that had gone into each one.

When he mentioned the different potions, her eyes widened.  His lab had come up with such things?  Amazing.  Sure, that did seem somewhat odd to be messing with such things, but regardless.  She'd heard that such things were quite popular to begin with, so it couldn't be that bad.  "That's incredible!  I had no idea such things could be so simple!  I mean, they obviously aren't simple, but you know.  I mean, to be able to take them and then put the into use jut by swallowing?  It's just so...  Incredible, for a lack of words."


((Haha, that's fine.  Give them something to ooggle about anyway.  And yeah, I like them together as well.  xD   Kinda the reverse, a tough girl and a cute nerdy guy.  Sorry about not saying that last post.  Kinda just typed that in a daze before heading to bed.  -fails-))

Watching her as she examined the room, Navvos found a small sense of satisfaction at her amazement. He was proud of his laboratory, as little as it was, and it made him feel good that someone else appreciated it...although obviously no one appreciated it as much as him. To many, the laboratory was either just a job, or just a place where they tested things before releasing them to the public. To Navvos, the laboratory was his life. He loved working here.

At her words, he chuckled slightly. "Yeah, I wish more people knew how incredible it was. Most people take the potions and such things that we make here for granted. My fathers took the potion that made me for granted. At least, until I grew up and showed them all the hard work and such that goes into it."

Feeling encouraged by her interest, he grabbed her hand and led her over to more beakers, these ones with labels that would probably be a shock to her. 'Demon', 'Angel', and 'Fairy' were just a few of the labels, along with 'Reaper', 'Demigod' and more. "These are part of a huge project that I will, hopefully, be working on. We've discovered that certain beings have certain abilities. We're experimenting with the ideas of using their DNA to make Evelon a better place. A person with an illness that normally can't be cured, could be given DNA of a creature with unnatural healing abilities - they could be healed!" For a moment, Navvos's smile faded. "Of course, we're a long way from that point. We haven't even began the experiments."

"I'm not surprised that people don't take into consideration the time and effort put into such things.  After all, I know that many people would've gotten a headache if you had tried to explain even a small piece of this potion making business.  If people can't understand something, they typically try to avoid it.  It's always easier that way."

She was a little surprised that he mentioned fathers, but wasn't going to show it outright.  After all, she was actually supportive of such things, not that she was like that herself.  But to restrict someone's natural wants or needs just because of gender, that was just wrong.

She looked around more, and just about lost her previous meal when she read 'Reaper' on one of the samples.  How in the world had they gotten their hands on such a thing?  To catch a Shinigami, even in their gigai, was virtually impossible!  She was almost tempted to back away and run right then in fear of what he would do if she were to tell him what she really was.  After all, Arrancar, especially those who were Espada or born from Espada, were known to have extraordinary regenerative powers, as well as unique capabilities.  Would his possible affection for her really triumph over what he had been working on for years, what was his pride and joy?

While the explanation made sense, Navvos still didn't quite agree with it. "I can understand that, I suppose. I personally am the opposite. If I don't understand something, I must research and learn more about it so that I can understand me. It will bother me until I do so." He chuckled slightly. "I suppose I'm far too inquisitive and curious for my own good."

As soon as Navvos noticed the look on Teruka's face, he followed her line of sight trying to see what it was that had disturbed her. Realizing that she was worried about the essences in front of them, Navvos chuckled. "Oh, don't worry about those. We don't hurt anyone here; these were donated. See, we have a way that allows us to take just a tiny bit of the energy or life-force of a specific being as a sample, and then we can recreate this same energy one hundred times over so that we have enough to conduct our experiments. It makes the donator a bit week for a day or two, but that's about it. If they are worried about being able to protect themselves in their weakened state, we allow them to stay in our isolated protection room until they are feeling up to par. Nobody can get in to harm them there, and they can simply rest and regain their energy. We're very peaceful here, and don't believe in hurting anyone or anything to conduct our experiments." He touched her arm, hoping that his explanation would reassure her.

"Ah, I agree completely.  It's just that with my experiences, I've known a great many people to do just that.  To ignore everything around them in an attempt to shield themselves from a greater truth; a truth that they simply cannot accept quite yet." Teruka explained.  

Of course, she relaxed ever so slightly when he explained where they got the samples.  Still, she didn't really feel at total ease.  Mainly because that would have meant that someone had to voluntarily given that to the lab.  To do such a thing was a direct violation of a great many laws, some with greater repercussions than others, she knew that well.  After all, the Arrancar, especially the Espada, often made fun of the turmoil that had gone on in the Soul Society when that substitute Shinigami Kurosaki had rescued the Kuchiki girl from Aizen's plot.

Regardless, she couldn't sense any foul intent coming from Navvos, which she was quite adept at.  Though, there was something else, something not quite right, that she was beginning to notice about him.  But she couldn't put her finger on it, or even say for sure if she ever had encountered this before.  So she pushed it aside, hoping it was just her nervousness at being there.

((So, I'm not sure how much "fluff" you wanted before Krypton took over...being in the lab is what's gonna trigger him, and I was thinking he'd probably try to rape/kill her, since that's...what Krypton does. Also, since I'm all excited and have to share this with someone, this is what Navvos' new form is going to be as soon as I get word back on Shieba and figure out whether I'll be paying fully with GT or will have to use some RL money for the purchase. But yeah...he'll be sexy and restrictionless xD Also...sorry for the short post v.v I've had this in a window open on my laptop for about two-three days now xD I keep losing inspiration, but I already have this looooong OOC typed up and don't wanna lose it ))

An odd feeling was beginning to take over Navvos, and he was suddenly finding it hard to conversation. A quick shake of his head seemed to clear it, though, and he was able to catch what Teruka had said. "In the circumstances in which the truth is too much for the person to handle at the moment, they choose ignorance as a protective method. I guess in a way, it is better to live comfortably without knowing all there is to know in the world, then to be driven mad by trying to know it all."

While Navvos was relieved to see that Teruka no longer appeared completely appalled with the vials in front of her, she still seemed a bit on edge, although it didn't seem directed at Navvos...at least, not that he could tell.

"Is everything all right?" He studied her curiously. "We can go somewhere else if something in here is bothering you?" Knowing that some people hated a bruised pride and not wanting Teruka to think that she was frightened or bothered by the vials, he added, "The smell of chemicals in here is sometimes too much for some people. I can show you where all of our heavy equipment is, though?"

(Haha, no worries there, I understand lacking in muse.  And maybe have him appear after this post, or really start to creep up, since I can imagine he'd be interested as to why the below happened.  I have that E in the title for a reason of course, so we can play around with those scenes as much as you want.  xD  And his form looks amazing, can't wait to see if for real~)

Teruka nodded, sensing that something was awry.  It was almost as if he wasn't able to converse fluently any more, which had alarmed her for a split second.  It seemed to have been cleared up with a quick shake of his head though, so she blew it off.  After all, he had already showed interest in her, so he was probably just a tad bit nervous.

She was tempted to decline when he offered to take her elsewhere, but figured that she had nothing to lose.  After all, she'd shown him her strength, it wasn't as if she had to worry he would think her weak.  "Yes, I'd love to see some other parts of the lab." she replied simply.  She started out, but her hand bumped against the reaper vial, burning and searing with an intense pain, and she did the one thing she hadn't expected: she screamed.

((Yeah, my muse is just so fickle. Here one minute, gone the next. And mwahahaha! One crazy sadistic psycho-maniac coming right up!))

"Well then, if you follow me this way..." Navvos was cut off as he heard Teruka's scream. He turned to her, eyes wide, immediately reaching out in case she were to stumble or something of that sort. "Teruka? Are you alright? What's wrong?" As he focused on her, he could see no plausible reason for her to scream...and his eyes narrowed.

Even as he attempted to fight it, he felt his alternate personality, Krypton, begin to creep up. He fell to his knees, letting out a strangled sound that was half gasp, half growl. He held his head, feeling as if it were being split in two. He forgot about Teruka for a moment, but then his eyes shot wide open and he looked up at her. He tried to tell her to go, but as he opened his mouth he felt an unbearable pain and he grabbed his head again, unable to hold it back anymore.

Teruka gathered herself quickly, and realized that she wasn't the only one in that small room having big problems.  She hadn't been prepared for the possible reaction that could have come from touching what was basically her polar opposite, and that had been her fault.  But had her scream triggered something else in Navvos?

She rushed over to him, and for a second thought she saw him urging her to run.  However, she couldn't figure out how that would have made any sense at that moment, and figured that she was still a little hazy from the pain radiating in her arm and misinterpreted his small motion.

"Navvos!  Are, are you okay?" she asked, not sure what to do as he grasped his head as if in pain.  She couldn't see any injury that was inflamed, therefor causing him such unbearable pain, but she wasn't going to just go andsearch for one either...  She was seriously stuck in a postion of total weakness.  Not being able to do anything as someone in front of her suffered...

((Well...it's certainly been awhile! But I have Navvos' sexy new form now, so wheee!))


Everything inside of him felt like he was being split in two. Normally, Navvos wouldn't bother fighting when Krypton took over. He carried a sedative around with him at almost all times, so when he felt the urge coming on, he would inject himself and allow the 'switch'. By the time Krypton had gained full control, the sedative would be kicking in, and there would be little to no damage caused by the whole ordeal. As far as Navvos knew, he had always awoken from his drug-enhanced sleep as himself, and so it had been fairly effective. But at the moment, the sedative was safely hidden in a secret pocket in his lab coat...which was hanging up outside the room.

Despite the ringing in his ears and the sound of his own whimpers and growls of pain as he attempted to drive away the demonic side of him, he could hear Teruka's words. Looking up at her, for a moment, his face was simply a mask of pain, and he was able to just barely gasp out the words, "Ter...uka. G-get..."

Then, suddenly, he froze. His eyes rolled back, and his body went slack for a moment. When his eyes opened again, there was a maniacal gleam to them. He stood quickly, cracked his knuckles, and allowed his eyes to slowly roam over Teruka's form. "Well, well, well," the voice was not his at all, but deeper and far more evil. "It appears that weakling Navvos was able to lure a pretty woman in here for me to enjoy." He licked his lips slowly and suggestively, winking at Teruka.

At first, she wasn't sure what to do.  Teruka wasn't at all knowledgeable in the field of medicine.  After all, why would someone who could regenerate be worried about making sure she knew how to use a human's form of healing?  However, it was at this moment she instantly regretted not having learned a little bit more from her mother...  She could tell that he wanted her to do something, but with the two words he managed to get out, there wasn't much to go on...

She was already kneeling beside him when he stopped convulsing, and looked up into her eyes.  This time, though, they were filled with lust, sin, and a terrifying malice.  She got up to her feet quickly as Navvos began to speak again, quickly taking steps backwards, away from this thing that had taken the kind, timid man she had been getting to know just a few seconds before.

When he winked, she sneered back, ever so tempted to lunge at him.  The only thing stopping her was that it was Navvos' body she would be beating up, even if it wasn't Navvos who was currently controlling it.  If he chose to attack himself, however, then they would have a serious problem.

Whether or not it was purely instinctual for Teruka to step back - she seemed like the type who would have had no trouble standing her ground - it had triggered the predator side of Krypton. Although she hadn't physically fled, he considered the 'chase' officially on now. Teruka could run or she could fight, but either way, Krypton would not let up now until either he was defeated, Navvos was able to regain control...or she was his.

The sneer she gave him only caused Krypton's grin to widen. It appeared she wouldn't go down without a fight, and that was perfectly fine with him. He preferred his women feisty anyways. The ones who simply went limp and allowed him to have his way with them and then kill them were simply no fun. He preferred the thrill of the hunt, and the sound of screams, threats, and pleas as he raped and then slowly dismembered whichever poor female had fallen into his trap. He had a feeling that Teruka would be able to provide wonderful entertainment, if he would be able to best her.

"What's wrong, sugar?" He darted forwards, snaking his arms around her waist and pulling her to be crushed against him. "Don't tell me you'd rather have that sniveling sop Navvos? Trust me, sugar, I'm much more...pleasurable, I promise." He stuck his tongue out and curled it upwards in a lewd, licking motion.

Teruka gasped as she found herself being crushed against Navvos' body, the inhuman speed and strength taking her by surprise.  And still she was stufk with the problem of not being sure who she would be hurting if sh actually fought her way out of this situation.  If it had been anyone else, she would have leapt at the chance to fight someone that she didn't see as any easy opponent.

She cringed as he flicked his tongue at, already talking like she was a mere possession of his.  That was what really pissed her off.  Whoever this son of a bitch was, he was malicious, cocky, and the ploar opposite of the man she was talking to just before.  And how she longed for Navvos to return and give her a reason not to completely break the body that was now holding her captive.

The fact that Teruka wasn't attempting to kick his ass seriously confused Krypton. He could tell that she was the fighting type - that fit body that he couldn't wait to ravish, and the strength he could practically feel just waiting to spring out and attack him was all the proof he needed. But for some reason, she wasn't attacking, and it angered him. His eyes flashed, and he pulled his hand back, ready to slap her in an attempt to get her to fight back. But then, he paused, and there was a light of understanding in his eyes.

"Oh, I see...you're afraid of hurting little Navvos, aren't you?" His laugh was harsh. "Well, I won't lie, whatever wounds you inflict on me will be felt by him when he regains control, and if you manage to overpower me - not something I'd expect to be very likely - he would die if you were to kill me. So, if you'd rather not fight back and just come willingly, that can be arranged..."

As he spoke, his hands, which had been clutching her hips, now began to snake further, lower, as he attempted to grasp her bottom.
