The slums are a rundown, old heap of a town tucked deep in the jungles, with townsfolk consisting mostly of poachers, black marketeers, thieves, and fugitives. While the ideal tourist spot, some travel to the Slums to make use of the black markets. (+2 Defense, +2 Speed)

Spardia watched with glee as her mother struggled to save Caine. Oh pitiful woman—she had twice the power and yet she sought to save her precious husband. How pathetic; such a waste of power.  But she had to snicker at her pained words and confusion—it was such a fitting look for her. Lost, confused, and one might dare say baffled by the power Spardia had found without her guidance.

“Why Mother, I am no longer that little starling that sat by your side singing sweet little songs in hopes to be noticed. No, Mother, than little Starling has burst into flames and risen a phoenix. I have found the powers your blood denied me—is that not what you wished when you cast me away?” With a quick snap of her wrist she released her hold on Lysandroth’s blood and the flow returned to normal. She did not need to push things—just make a bold statement.

Her eyes turned towards Caine and found her mood instantly dampened. He was cheerful over this? With Lysa’s power holding the bloody dagger at bay there was little Spardia could do otherwise to give him a swift lesson to show her fear and not admiration. His approval was too past due to count now.  “Do not act so coy old man. If you possessed one, I could burst will your heart to burst inside your chest.”

The twins caught her fearsome gaze next—particularly  Nas. “Do not speak to me that way boy—you will show your elder sister the respect that is deserved.” Iahme’s got no such stern words—the boy seemed about as finished with their parents as she was. Perhaps he could be an asset later on…

Pulling her fingers back in a fluid motion that might remind one of an octopus in locomotion, Spardia tried to pry the blood-dagger from Lysa’s tendrils. There was only a moment of this trying though before she released her hold on the substance altogether and the gore splattered back into the ash—useless.

“I come bearing news, dearest ones.” She almost sang out, now promptly ignoring both boys. “But I doubt you are even deserving to know…perhaps I should make it a guessing game.” A cruel snicker came to rest on her face. Oh they would never guess. They would never guess that it would be she who would cross bloodlines with another vampire…
"I have been hidden, scorned, adored, worshiped, forsaken, coveted and banished more times than I care to count. But the one thing all those experiences cannot steal from me is the gentle soul I was born with, the kind heart I have molded, and the bright ideals for the future that have lit my way through the darkness of the past."

Nasimine twitched when Caine's hand touched his skin, but wrathful eyes never left his mother. If anything, they blazed more when the man went over to her and touched her skin. She was the cause of all this trouble! She was the cause of this mayhem! Still he left his sons for her side? "Then when is the time? When is the time to discuss her treachery?!" The boy's voice was a screech, fangs bared to the gums. Years of fury pushed their way heavenward in the form of black spikes: an aura similar to Lysandroth's only in form. They needled at the air, distorting Nas' appearance. Spardia's words gained her nothing but a glance and a snarl - but Iahmes outburst brought the chaotic twin to his pale sibling's side, seething sibilant voice in his ear. "We can't trust her. It would be only a moment, Iah... Only a moment to be rid of her lies for good!"

"I loved your songs..." Lysa's throbbing head made her voice weaker still, the words that emerged barely loud enough to be heard. Only when she was joined by her mate did the pain lessen, and she clung to Caine, pressing her temples forward into his hands. The rage of her sons and the magickal corruption of her daughter hurt so much! Was this doomed to happen to all her brood? Was this what happened when one who was never meant to tried to mother?

"I wanted you to find yourself, Spardia; to fill the void left by your sister's treatment of you, by your brother's growing strength." Oh, she was no stranger to her children's lives. She knew that Malkov alone could be her only chance to get through to Spardia - he was the closest of her kin. She knew also  that her darling Embres had bullied the normal girl horribly - making her, quite likely, one of the most hated. "I never rejected you. I never intended you to feel such pain - I never intended to fill you with this hatred. How can I be happy? This was never meant for you." A voice which had been growing stronger broke again, tears just beginning to trickle from the Lysa's eyes. They were tinged with red.

"Say what you have to say, phoenix. I have no heart for guessing..."

Castigal watched silently, rubbing wrists sore from containment and marveling at the power of she that had done so. Such growth she'd experienced in this new world! Meanwhile his power, lost to him, left him withering. He was neither proud nor pleased to see the Creator reduced to this sobbing mess; he was more disappointed and in an odd fashion, intrigued. To make so potent an enemy of one of her own offspring was no small feat - what had the woman been up to while he was away? "Paltry attempts at a life not so easy without my help, Creator?" The man jibed, slowly but surely backing away from the stricken woman - toward her sons. "Don't be such a bore. The pretty miss has offered you a game! You love games." A smile that bared Lucain teeth lingered on the massive man's mouth. He was close enough to Iahmes now; from the corners of his eyes, he watched the boys intently.

Truly, Iahmes was not fed up with his parents, but his budding powers were clouding his mind; unable to control, and hard to suppress. "I want nothing to do with this anymore, brother." Turning to Nas he grasped his twin's hand and pulled him away from the scene. No, he would not kill his mother, he would leave the situation until tempers simmered and he had time to grasp exactly what this new power of his was. "I won't be home tonight." was called to his mother - a stinging blow, from a boy who always told her he would be home.

For now Caine would not stop his sons. He always knew how to find them, right now his focus being on his mate. His cool hands remained on her head, stroking a cheek as he caressed her brow with his lips. "Guessing games with our children's lives are not welcome, Spardia. What more surprises could you have for us?" He was half-curious, what was more important than these new powers?

The young blood-mage laughed heartily as she took a few bold steps closer to her parents as they huddled together. Her mother’s pleading fell on deaf ears; her banishment was ever for the same reason. She was weakness, she was lowly, and she was expendable. Those were things Spardia saw as nothing other than fact. The fanged monster of a man did not escape her gaze, nor was his presence appreciated any longer. This was her moment to shine and he was sneaking in from behind the scenes to steal it away.

“Very well then, mother. You do not wish to guess, then I will simply have to introduce…your granddaughter.” Throwing up her hands she drew the splattered blood into the air like a curtain for a brief moment and when it dropped there was a very young girl at her side. The little one was clad in black, white, and red with a tiny top hat on top of her head.

Lifting her little hand she waved to the people she had never before met before reaching to touch her mother’s leg. There was something a little odd about her eyes—a twinkle of young magic yet to be fully discovered. Aside from that were the two needle sharp fangs that protruded just below her upper lip. “I think you will be terribly interested to know who sired her…” She said coyly as she took a moment to survey her fingernails in the most nonchalant of fashions. “Are you sure you don’t wish to guess, Father? Very well, no more time wasted. It was your dear Tremere. The mixing of two ancient vampiric bloodlines to produce three children of untold power. Little Hexia here is just the beginning…the others already train with their father.”

She reached down and gently smoothed the jet black hair of her daughter. Hexia giggled lightly—the blood on the floor around her seemed to shimmer and shiver at the sound of it. How deeply affected the child was by Spardia’s newfound magic was unknown, but her link to the liquid life force could never have been more obvious.

No. No.

The Goddess could only stare open-mouthed, voice having deserted her at first sight of the child. Daughter. Granddaughter! Her granddaughter, sired of hate, misinformation, and misfortune! Glimmering-red tears threatened harder to fall, brimming on the edges of bright blue eyes that held a conflicting blend of anger, joy, pain and hope. Hands that hovered over Caine's dragged her mate's cooling touch to her throat, where the woman clung to him for dear life: a subtle nod to Lysa's growing desperation. Her other hand, ever-so-gently, waved to the beautiful little girl. "Hello, lovely Hexia," the girl's grandmother breathed, just as dearly touched by her daughter's news as she was horribly wounded. Grandchildren - three grandchildren! This was not how Lysa would have liked to see her children's offspring touch the world, but it was enough that they were there and healthy!

Nasimine took his brother's hand without protest, but lifted fangs menacingly in his parents' direction. Father hadn't even noticed Iahmes' new power! And she - that bitch of a woman - was some kind of Goddess; had lied to them about a whole new kind of power entirely! He'd leave with Iah, but he wasn't done with her - not yet! Nas' lips split in a hiss, and enraged eyes sparked deeper and darker than Lysandroth's as the pair fled the chaotic scene.

The monster of man was certainly intrigued. He had never seen his impassive Creatrix display such a marvelous myriad of feelings, and he had definitely never seen her so abused. This would have been a delightful thing to stay and watch - if only he weren't needed elsewhere. Unfortunately, his misguided herald was currently departing, and Castigal was bound to follow. Where Iahmes went, so went the fallen God's rightful powers, and so went he. Sidestepping into unseen wisps of ash, the man followed patiently after the boys, as he would continue to do until his destruction was returned to his ready claws. Now that he was here, Castigal had forever.

There was notice of what his youngest son had done, but right now it was not Caine's focus. He would have time to track down his sons later and speak to them, learn of what exactly had been done here before he had shown to see them so hurt. Right now his mate was distressed and she needed him more than they did.

Surprisingly gentle arms wrapped around Lysandroth's lithe form as Caine stroked the back of her neck, murmuring very soft words to her as he watched the unveiling of his daughter's 'surprise'. He seemed just as taken aback as she was - a daughter? And there were two more? ...It was more than he could have hoped for. His lineage once more continued, for he saw the budding fangs of his granddaughter.

"Hello little love." His smile was nothing more than proud. Even if the sire was... Well. Less than desirable. He had thought Tremere had come to him seeking guidance for his powers, as his mother's mind was completely broken and his father absent. A slight glare came to his gaze - though not directed at the little one.

"Train with him? He knew nothing before he came to me, Spardia. They need a proper teacher."

Spardia cast her father a despising glance as he spoke ill of the children's father...and then the moment passed and she looked pleasantly amused by the whole thing. She knew he would have no taste for grandchildren sired by Tremere. And though his anger was not near what she had hoped, her mother's reaction more than made up for it. "Oh, they are training with the perfect person, Father. One who is not so close-minded as you. Even now you allow my two brothers to flee from you when they are obviously so hurt. I see your parenting skills have not improved with practice."

Hexia glanced between the two elders curiously, even so young able to sense their talents and power. They were a little scary, since they seemed a lot stronger than Mommy, but they were laying on the floor cuddling. How scary could you be when you were busy cuddling. She looked up to her mother and gave a light tug at her cloak. "Mommy, I'm getting hungry." She whispered when Spardia obliged to lean down to better hear her shyly whispered request.

"Very well, my young love. Mother, father, I had hoped that this would be a much more...eventful meeting. For me, at least. But perhaps another day when my children are more practiced at their arts. Come darling, let's leave them to themselves." Reaching down Spardia clasped Hexia's hand gently and whirled them both around in a flurry of cape and giggles. The blood on the floor danced and bubbled until the sound of Hexia was too far away to reach it.
