Ever since they’d let that weird street kid start living with them, the whole family had been changing. Quinn actually smiled every now and again, Pandora didn't wake up wanting to slash something to bits, Mickey was willing to help out around the place, even going on errands, and Paps, well, actually Paps was still Paps. The strangest change of all: Raja started talking to people rather than just staying holed up with his Ttees all day long.
But these were all good things that Alami was observing. The business they were in required everyone involved to be on the same page at all times, able to communicate and react as a cohesive unit, which they were finally beginning to look like.
All of this was running through the feline’s head as she grabbed the money needed for the day’s necessary errands from the counter with a flick of her tail. By the time she was at the door, she had changed into her humanoid form, and was out the door just as quickly.
The streets were busy, as it was nearing the afternoon, a prime time for those who dealt with less shady things to come out and play. Vendors speckled the sides of the streets and every so often a motorcycle or even a car would come barrelling down the street, but Alami just shielded her eyes to keep out any debris and kept on walking.
To most, the streets were probably daunting, or at the very least, disgusting, no matter what the time of day was. But with everything that had been happening for her personally, and everything that she had woken up to that day, she could only grin ear to ear as she made her way down the street.
