It was like pouring salt into the wound, hearing Samael say those words. He wasn't
exactly immortal, but Benjamin clearly didn't have the power necessary to kill him. And unless Benjamin himself died, or unless they found
some way to break this deal, then there was no other way to say it: Samael and Benjamin would be stuck with each other.
He was already frustrated enough at the thought, but Samael's exaggerated and deliberate smile that literally stretched from ear to ear, made Benjamin literally burn.
"Oh, it helps with anger problems?" the vampire snapped just as he reached out behind him, getting his whip from his belt.
"Yeah, I'm down for that solution, Samael," he hissed, snapping the whip uncoiled, hitting the ground next to him.
"What do you think?" Not that it mattered.
He would've fulfilled that agreement, if it hadn't been for the fact that, at that moment, something in the air changed. Benjamin seemingly didn't react to it, although he did took note of it, glancing towards the source of the disturbance.
"Pitiful," an impressed voice echoed just beyond the dark alleyway.
"Like two bickering children."It was a woman who had spoken, one with flowing dark brown hair, and a certain air of authority to her. She wore a simple black dress that was both casual and elegant, covering just enough, but not too much. She looked on with an unimpressed face, sporting a no-nonsense expression.
"It's unbelievable it took you this long to track down the Krait prince, Lothair," she sighed, though without taking her dark red eyes away from the two men down the alleyway.
"Even with this nose of yours."The man standing next to the woman looked far less confident than her, and looking nothing short of depressed. He was dressed rather fancily, compared to her, sporting a full white suit that flowed with longer coattails behind him, with pale, bright accents in purple and green.
"Wow... You're welcome. You try tracking down someone you've never met while they're traveling at the same time," he reprimanded, though that was an overstatement; he was just passively pointing out how ungrateful she was being, though his dejected looks were far from being very offensive or effective.
"No matter," the woman interjected, crossing her arms.
"We found him." She raised her head just a little bit, looking from Benjamin to Samael, staring down at the demon.
"Please hand over the vampire. Promptly," she instructed, giving the demon an order, and not a choice. Her presence, unlike the other vampire with her, was definitely unusual. She was definitely a vampire, but there were other things mixed in with; one of them wasn't all that impressive nor unusual, though there was a sort of energy to her that was impossible to describe.
