Frostbite and Kenta (Rabbit things are Gema and Herb)

In the middle of the Tengel Rainforest, a boy lay against some moss on a tree, surrounded by wild plants of different varieties. From the steady rise and fall of his chest, is was obvious that the stranger was asleep, yet...something was off.

Soon the boy began to wake and could feel his surroundings...plants brushing against him and a cool breeze ruffling his hair. Then he became aware of something prodding his face. Without opening his eyes, he reached up to brush it away, but a voice entered his head.
"HAY! HE'S AWAKE!"
With the sudden sound jolted in his head, he sat up abruptly, feeling something go flying off of his shoulder.
"You didn't need to yell Gema...of course he's awake, with your constant prodding..." Another voice croaked into his head, sounding rather irritated. Rubbing his head to remove the ache, he wondered who or what the voices were. As he thought, he realized that the first voice was a female and the second, a male. "Who are you?" he asked them, catching a wave of surprise from the two. "You...can hear us?"
"Yeah, of course, what are you talking about? Everyone around here could hear you, yelling like that! Uh...where is 'here'?"
Catching another wave of surprise, he sighed. Just as he was going to ask again, the female voice broke into his head. "Why don'cha just open your eyes and see for yourself?"
Sighing again, the boy opened his eyes. Yet another wave of surprise came from the two and he heard their voices talk in unison. "What's with the EYES!?" With a snort, he closed his eyes again. "I'm blind, dummies." he muttered.

Venom Ferrikoon

Up high in the canopy a venom ferrikoon glides aimlessly wondering what he should do next. He still can't believe he was able to get away from that annoying little Angst Ball that's always following him around. Everyone knows that Angst Balls don't have emotions, but this one always seemed to act like he did. When he came back from foraging the Angst Ball would zip around in circles around him. When he told the Angst Ball he was going away for awhile it sat in the corner and wouldn't fly around. he almost feels bad for leaving the little...thing.  Then his thoughts are disturbed by some noises down on the forest floor. The ferrikoon lands in a tree near the noises and crawls skilfully through the branches and peeks out through the leaves to see what's going on. Down by the base of the tree sits a boy. Strange, a boy in the jungle, the ferrikoon has never seen that before. Curious the ferrikoon crawls down the tree to get a better look. Without warning the ferrikoon slips on the slick moss and lands on the boys head.

The boy was about to ask something else, when something heavy suddenly dropped on his head. With a shout of surprise, he shook his head to throw whatever it was off. Just as he was shaking his head, the voices came into his head.
"Are you alright?"
"What's that? Stay still, I can't see!"
"Stay still!? No keep moving, it could be dangerous!"
Silently, he willed them to stop talking, and to his surprise, they did. He could still feel their feelings of curiosity and worry however.

The Ferrikoon is shaken from the fall and being thrown around is just too much. He tries to fly away but couldn't get any lift. The wind was knocked out of him so he couldn't yell. The only choice he has left is to hold on with all his might, and so he did. He grabbed the boys hair and told himself that he would not let go until the boy stayed still. he would not get thrown off and fall again.

Feeling whatever it was grip onto his hair, the boy knew that shaking his head was useless. So he stopped and stayed still, hoping that it would get off. As he did, he recieved a thought from one of the others.
"It's a ferrikoon! Don'cha ask how I know because I have no clue. I just do!"

Meanwhile, above, a glacial garudor kept an eye on the group below. It had been watching the boy from before he woke up and was still watching. Hidden by the branches and the shadows, no one would notice him until he moved. Not even by scent, for this bird had no scent.

Feeling the boy go still the ferrikoon opens his eyes and slowly gets up. Then he flutters over to a nearby branch and sits there, trying to recover from the experience he just had, still unable to speak. He looks around, wondering what the group is doing in the middle of the Tengel Rainforest. He hadn't made contact with any creatures except for the Angst Ball in months. It is even stranger that a human boy is in the rainforest alone. Usually they have bigger older ones with them.

Feeling the ferrikoon get off his head, the boy relaxed. "Who are you?" he asked, not sure where the small creature went. Then he felt something get onto his lap. He knew that one of the ones who was speaking into his head had run up to him and was now using his legs as a boost to smooth his ruffled hair. He did not know that the other had run up to the ferrikoon and was gazing at it curiously.
"What's 'is name? Who's he? Why's he here? Why's he lookin' at you like that?" one of the creatures blasted one question after another into his head, but thankfully was cut off by a sort of squeak-hiss from the one on his lap. He sighed, wanting to be able to see the ferrikoon and his surroundings. Catching the boy's thoughts, the creature on his lap suddenly jumped up on his shoulders and an image was sent into his mind. Seeing it, the boy jerked back in surprise, and the image wavered as his rider almost fell off.
"This better?" the animal laughed in his head and the boy smiled. He turned his head to the side and felt his companion move too. Then a moving image of a small green creature looking at him and a gold and white rabbit beside it. Then he stood and walked over to the ferrikoon. Standing up, it was obvious this boy was 14. Of course, his face was hidden by a mask with only his bluish-silver eyes showing.
"My name is Kenta." he said with a smile, and caught two thoughts from the rabbits.
"The one on my shoulder here is Herb and the other is Gema. What's yours?" he asked.

Above, the garudor did not move from his vantage point. He kept his eyes fixed on the boy below, his face showing determination and a bit of worry. It was obvious it did not trust the ferrikoon.

The Ferrikoon is still staring wide-eyed at the boy. Realising the question is for him he shakes his head and tries to get out the words as proudly as he possibly can."My name is Canopywing, I have lived in the rainforest most of my life. I wanted to get away from home for a couple of days, to discover new places and get some excitement into my life. Now this question has been bothering me ever since I saw you, what are you doing here?"

((Blast! I'll start off from where we were before.))

Kenta smiled. "Thanks Blacklight." he said as he pulled himself onto her back. Craddling Gema in his arm, he stroked the penticorn's neck. He turned his head upwards towards Canopywing, ignoring the non-stop giggling from Herb on his shoulder. "Shall we go?" he called up.
"You're quite excited, aren't you? Shall we go?" he thought. He couldn't mind-speak out loud, but knew that Blacklight's abilities allowed her to hear what was intended for her to hear. ((That's true right? If not, just say so, I'll edit.))

Canopywing nodded and took off, doing a couple of fancy twists and flips in the air before landing on another branch. He still feels bad about Ahir. He sorta missed the constant buzzing in his ears and irritating interruptions. His sister will hold this against him for the rest of his life if she found out. She's so protective of her own Angst ball. It's a wonder how she survives. He jumped from one branch to another, squashing a small spider as he did so. He wiped the remains on a leave before flying to another tree.

With a loud rustle, the Garudor launched himself into the air and began to fly away. Gotta get home! Must let Injry know...I can only hope Jaden has a good plan for this...Shadow Tamer. I wonder how he went blind...ach, that's not my place to question! But if this...boy...is to be my people's master...

Herb pulled gently on Kenta's ear. "He's leaving! The bird's leaving!" Kenta snapped his head up in surprise as he caught a drift of thought from the leaving bird. It's that name again. Jaden. Injry as well. Blast! Now that the bird's gone, we're not going to be getting any answers here. Let's go Herb. The rabbit nodded in response to the boy's command and again became his eyes. With Gema still asleep in the crook of his arm, Kenta jumped off of the penticorn's back and after giving her a pat on the neck and a note of farewell, took off into the forest, headed for the nearest place.
