Narcyz gasped as he heard Cosmos' head hit the wall. For a moment, he thought the god was pulling away, but then suddenly lips were pressed to his neck, and Narcyz felt every bone in his body melt slightly. "A-ah--ahhn..." Narcyz gasped out, his hands clinging to Cosmos' hair and shoulders, his shirt, anywhere he could grab. He tilted his head so that he could see Cosmos out the corner of his eye, his chest heating up at the look in the god's eyes. Oh, he wanted to know what Cosmos was going to say. He needed to know--

Narcyz tilted his head back and keened softly as Cosmos' lips trailed down his neck. It was strange, so strange; he wasn't usually so sensitive, so needy. Narcyz prided himself in being a good kisser, and not so easily reduced to a flushed, moaning mess by a simple kiss on the neck. But everything felt charged, every emotion and every nerve in his skin, and he tugged at Cosmos' head gently, earnestly, wanting the god to continue.

Cosmos shuddered at the sounds Narcyz was making, growing red to the tips of his ears. How could the human boy make sounds like that, and why did they effect Cosmos so much. It was strange, almost embarrassing, how much need could be conveyed without words, only sounds. But there was something about that primal urge that made Cosmos want hear more. His lips trailed up and down Narcyz's neck as he tried to emulate the sensation that Narcyz had given him before. Without thinking, he licked at the soft skin, then nipped, his breath coming fast in his chest. His eyes flicked to meet Narcyz's, wondering if the desire he felt was being mirrored in Narcyz's lavender eyes. Slowly, his hands moved from Narcyz's sides, his fingers gently slipping under the hem of the rumpled dress shirt, feeling the warm skin of Narcyz's abdomen.

Narcyz's body rushed with heat as he felt Cosmos' tongue run hot against his skin. The small, nearly-painful bite sent a surge of electricity down to his lower half, and he squeaked, knees knocking together slightly as he let Cosmos support him. At that moment, he wasn't fully sure he could stand up on his own; even if it was him who was pinning Cosmos to the wall, he felt a lack of control. The memories flooded back to him for a moment, the night he woke up from that wonderful not-dream and wondered if he'd ever see the god again, the slow decline of hope and drive over the following month, the bleak thoughts that ran through his head like a mantra, the melodramatic but so, so painful thought that no one would ever hold him like that again.

His old thoughts were interrupted with a gasp as his skin jumped in response to Cosmos' touch, and he licked his lips, shivering and arching his hips forward slightly, leaning into Cosmos' touch. "Cosmos," he said softly, insistently, a strange rush of emotion behind his words, as though he needed to imprint in his mind the idea that this person was real, tangible, and alive.

Cosmos looked up at Narcyz's gasping voice, his dark eyes glittering in the dim light. Something inside of him shifted at the look on the human's face; how was he supposed to act when Narcyz looked so unravelled? He was looking that way because of something Cosmos did. It was baffling, sort of gratifying, a ticklish sort of sensation tugging at his heart. "Narcyz," was his reply, his voice soft, but even, although his breath was coming much faster than before. Cosmos turned his attention back to Narcyz's shirt, and he slowly began to undo the buttons with an even-pace, revealing more bare skin under the soft moonlight.

Narcyz let out a shaky breath in response to the sound of his name. He kept his eyes on Cosmos' face, watching the god grow focused in his task with a warm expression in his eyes. He drew in a breath of air as a draft brushed his bare chest and torso, a kind of calm settling over him, and as Cosmos unbuttoned the last one, Narcyz reached for Cosmos' hands. He pushed them aside enough to step forward into Cosmos' arms, wrapping up the other boy in a tight, fierce hug. He relaxed after a moment, letting out a heavy breath in the crook of Cosmos' neck, something gently nagging the back of his mind. As much as he wanted the god to touch him, to keep touching him until he was a shaking, moaning mess... another part of him didn't. He'd only known Cosmos for a day, and then before that, only a night, or perhaps a few minutes in human time. He wanted this to last. He wanted Cosmos to stay with him, and not scare him away, like...

But, Cosmos was different. Narcyz was sure of that. Even so, he held Cosmos tighter, turning his lips to Cosmos' ear. "I don't think we should have sex," he said softly, the words falling from his mouth before he could stop them. "I want to. I-I really... really wanna, Cosmos. But..." Suddenly, Narcyz's voice was unsure. What was he doing, really? Denying Cosmos something he wanted, after being so mean to him before... "But we can... i-if you want to..."

Cosmos blinked with surprise as Narcyz hugged him, and after a beat, he placed his hands on the human's back and hugged him back as well. He was still pressed against the wall, effectively pinned underneath Narcyz, their body's aligning perfectly. Cosmos shivered as he felt Narcyz's breath against his ears, but his words gave him pause. He blinked, the gears of his mind slowly clicking into place––it took him longer to understand things, in this form––and he stared at Narcyz for a long moment. He was getting mixed signals. Narcyz didn't want to have sex, but would if Cosmos wanted to? That didn't sit right. Cosmos frowned, a little concerned, but unable to really do anything with Narcyz hugging him so tight. "We... don't have to," he said, a little slowly. "Not if you don't feel comfortable with it. I... am fine with whatever your decision is." Cosmos paused for a moment, then nodded, as if confirming that fact with himself. "I understand if you have reservations; last time was... rushed. And I don't think you remember it quite as well as I do."

A guilty expression flickered across Narcyz's face at the soft tone in Cosmos' voice. He swallowed, tucking his face into Cosmos' shoulder as he listened to the other speak. He blinked slowly, mulling over Cosmos' words. Was that it...? Was that what Narcyz had been thinking? About how rushed it had been, how he'd taken one look at Cosmos back then and seduced him, had taken what he wanted just like that? Narcyz shifted in the god's arms, feeling sort of small, and nodded slowly. "Y-yeah..." he breathed out shaky, unable to deny the heat pooling in the pit of his stomach. But Cosmos had given voice to his thoughts. He wanted to take it... slower. Maybe not slow, but... slower.

"Thanks," he mumbled, not trusting himself to say anything right at that moment. He leaned away for a moment to stare at Cosmos, his eyes soft with apology, and his hands moved to clutch at Cosmos' wrists. "C'mere," he said softly, tugging Cosmos to the bed and sitting down with him. "We might not have sex... but... I still want to sleep next to you, like this..." Narcyz took his hands off of Cosmos' to gently shrug off his shirt, shivering a little in the draft, and he flicked his eyes back up to Cosmos, his neck still tingling from the heated kisses before as a small smile quirked up his mouth. "If that's cool with you."

Without argument, Cosmos followed the pull of Narcyz's hands and soft voice until he was kneeling on the bed. He smiled at the human, feeling a mix of happiness and affection and all manner of ticklish things. Narcyz was smiling again; Narcyz wanted to be with Cosmos, still. It made him unexplainably happy. Cosmos turned his eyes away as Narcyz's shirt slipped off his shoulders, feeling as if he should give the human some privacy, especially after their new agreement. Cosmos focused on pulling off his socks and placing them in the small basket he had decided would be the temporary laundry hamper. That finished, Cosmos laid down on the side of the mattress that was closer to the wall, and pulled the covers up to his chest, waiting for Narcyz to lie down next to him with an expectant expression.

"Oh, before I forget," he said, straightening slightly as he looked at Narcyz. "There's an amulet I found while reorganizing the shelves, and it has quite a bad curse on it. You should dispose of it, when you get the chance. It might be turning away some customers without you realizing it."

Narcyz blinked at the makeshift hamper, then chuckled and tossed his shirt into it, grinning as it went right in. His expression softened again as he met Cosmos' eyes, taking in the expression on the god's face. He was waiting for him. The thought filled Narcyz with a kind of bubbling warmth, and he sighed softly, shifting closer to Cosmos beneath the covers. He blinked and stiffened in surprise at Cosmos' sudden words.

"Cursed... amulet? What?" Narcyz scoffed incredulously, raising an eyebrow at the serious look on Cosmos' face. He blinked again, then squinted, trying to think back. "Ohhh... you know... I think I got that from some weird voodoo guy. So. Yeah... might wanna throw that into the ocean as soon as possible. Unless there's some kind of godly mumbo jumbo I'm supposed to do on it first..." he murmured, seeming to grow a little sleepy halfway through his words. He shuffled closer until his shoulder brushed Cosmos', and with that small contact, he decided more was necessary. Carefully avoiding crushing one of Cosmos' arms--it was a little more worrisome now that Cosmos was shorter than him and susceptible to pain--Narcyz pressed up against the other boy, one arm wrapping over Cosmos' chest in a kind of hug, a smile growing on his face. "Darn. It was a pretty amulet and it cost me a pretty penny. But we can get rid of it tomorrow, especially if it'll help in the..." Here, a yawn. "...in the long run..."

Cosmos murmured in agreement as Narcyz continued to chatter on, his body relaxing on the mattress. His thumb gently rubbed back and forth against the human's shoulder until Narcyz had stopped talking and was breathing quietly through his nose. Cosmos smiled gently, then brought the blanket up to cover both of them. "See you in the morning," he murmured, kissing Narcyz's forehead, then settled back in bed until he, too, drifted to sleep.

When the god woke up, the sun was shining in his eyes, and he was hungry again. And he also had to use the restroom. But Narcyz was sleeping so soundly right on top of him. Cosmos sighed, lying back and staring at the blank ceiling, wondering how long Narcyz could sleep without being woken up by Cosmos's growling stomach.

If Cosmos was hungry, Narcyz was tenfold. If he'd been conscious he would've quickly remembered, after some listening to the sounds of his own stomach, that he hadn't eaten since the previous morning. And that was tea. Narcyz stirred after a moment as a hunger pang hit him, and he grunted, shifting on the soft body beneath him. He blinked his eyes open slowly, the world fuzzy for a moment, then turned his vision up to the underside of Cosmos' chin. He stared for a moment, slowly comprehending, and he shivered with a small draft that wormed under the blanket. "Mmgh..." he murmured, a pitiful noise coming out of him as he burrowed closer. "You awake yet..." he murmured in a voice that sounded very much half-asleep, eyes closing again as he nuzzled his nose against Cosmos' shirt, wanting to ignore the reality of eating and standing and seeing for a few moments longer.

Cosmos blinked out of his daze as Narcyz shifted closer to him, his arm slowly coming to rest on top of the human's shoulders. "Good morning," he replied, voice soft, watching as Narcyz burrowed into his chest. The proximity was a little comforting, if not a bit ticklish. And he still needed to go to the restroom. His legs shifted underneath the blankets, but he didn't want to stir Narcyz. The god searched for something to say, looking up at the blank ceiling for help. "I'm awake..."

The night seemed like a far away blur to Cosmos, right then. His dreams were vast and dark, the link connecting him to his true self rising up from his subconscious mind. The only thing that stood out with any real clarity was the moments with Narcyz. Lavender eyes staring into his. Narcyz pinning him against the wall with his kisses. Narcyz's tears, warm like a summer rain and so full of regret. This human boy had said that he loved Cosmos, and Cosmos had said it back. It felt like a dream. Cosmos's dark eyes glanced back to look at Narcyz's mop of blonde hair, his heart stirring in his chest. Acting on an impulse, Cosmos leaned forward to kiss the top of Narcyz's head. I love you, he wanted to say, the words catching and tangling in the warm tightness in his chest, I love you.

Narcyz's eyelashes fluttered slightly at the sound of Cosmos' voice, a soft smile turning up his mouth sleepily. "Good..." he murmured softly, tucking his nose into Cosmos' chest, holding the other boy tight for a moment. His eyes blinked open at the soft kiss on his head, his heart kicking up once or twice in his chest at the simple, almost chaste action. He slowly raised his head to look Cosmos straight in the face, his cheeks coloring, then leaned forward slightly to barely brush his lips against Cosmos'. "Good morning," he added between that kiss and the next, a firmer one that still brushed gentle against Cosmos' mouth.

Narcyz's stomach made a sound, and he made a small hum-sigh of ruefulness. "I haven't eaten jack shit in days, feels like..." he muttered, leaning away to peer down at Cosmos with a small smirk. "Hey. Let's take that money you got yesterday, and go buy us some food?" he offered, voice still soft and muted from sleep.

Cosmos made a soft noise of surprise as Narcyz greeted him with a kiss, his eyes growing wide, but not with discomfort. It was just surprising, like most of Narcyz's out-of-the-blue kisses tended to be. When Narcyz leaned away, the god smiled up at the human, cheeks a little warm. Maybe his brain wasn't functioning right, but it took Cosmos a moment to comprehend Narcyz's offer. "Oh, that sounds like a good idea," he agreed with an eager nod. Pushing himself into a sitting position, Cosmos shivered as the cool air slipped underneath the covers. He looked at Narcyz, one hand going to steady himself on the human's thin shoulder. "Are we going out? To the market? Humans buy food at markets, correct?" Cosmos spoke at a sleepy pace, but his expression shone with curiosity. He had never seen a real human market before. Not from the perspective of a human, at any rate.

Narcyz blinked at the hand on his shoulder, a small flush creeping to his face at the simple touch. He let out a delighted chuckle at Cosmos' words, eyes shining. "Hah--'market.' That's great--I wish we had one of those farmer's markets here. There's a run-down grocery store somewhere, but I was thinking something more like... Waffle House. We're going to Waffle House," he decided then and there, reaching up with a hand to touch and clutch at Cosmos' hand on his shoulder. The skin on skin contact made him want to lie back down and let the morning stay away for a little while longer, but the better part of him knew food was a necessity. "Where'd you put the money you got?" he asked, leaning away long enough to find his shirt rumpled on the bed, and he pulled it back on, not wanting to bother with a clean one right then. It was good enough for waffles.
