There were slums in every city. Even Jawan had its seedy places, mostly places further away from the docks and out of the way for normal people. Shady things happened in the shadows where no one truly watched them. Those who frequented the areas expected the dilapitated buildings and the unclean streets.

What was found there today however, was anything but expected. This old war-veteran had no intentions of stopping his rampage. Behind him laid at least four blocks of buildings, levelled to the ground and left a fog of shattered materials hanging in the air. The loud snarls in the back of his throat dulled in comparison to the tearing of his claws through the debris he had created.

Phrixios charged forward, throwing his entire weight into tearing through an empty lot with scrap metal upon it. The terrible sounds of his roars and claws tearing through anything within his teach... It had most running. The few who had not been quick enough to run out of his way lay in his path of destruction - their crimson life now running down his claws and being wiped upon the metal he found to destroy.

Scarlet

Zeddicus Zu'l Zorander (Z for short)

Scarlet had came to Jawa, hearing that something had been crashing through buildings.
She knew she had to try and do something to stop him or her.
Standing on a deserted building, she looked down.
The dusty clouds signaled where it was.
Sliding down the side of the building she stopped.
A little Baby Doom Kitty sat there.
"What's the plan?" He asked.
She looked down with a smile.
"Well first, your going to need a hiding place." She answered.
He frowned.
"I always hide." He whined.
She smiled a chuckled slightly.
He climbed onto her back as she darted off towards the destruction.
"When we get there you find the safest place." She said as she turned down a road.
He slowly nodded.
He didn't want to make her job any harder.
And knew she would get hurt trying to protect him.
Scarlet slowed as they got closer.
The sounds of twisted metal and crashing glass got louder.
She looked around.
Many of the buildings were already smashed.
She would have to hurry and take him out now.
Z jumped down and ran off behind a standing wall.
Peeking out, he watched to make sure the creature wouldn't head back.
Scarlet nodded and turned to face whatever it was.

It wasn't as if anyone important would truly care. These dilapidated structures needed to be torn down... And the lives that were here were not worth sending a task force to stop Phrixios. The war veteran would wear himself out, or so everyone hoped. At least before he got to the more populated areas of Jawan.

Rending his jaws through another peice of twisted metal Phrixios paused, for a brief moment, as he saw the female infront of him. A low bellow rumbled in his belly before he let it out - no words as he began to bull-rush her into leaving. Head down, running full-force in an attempt to get her to leave.

Scarlet's eyes shot wide open.
She had guessed he would attack her.
Not wanting to back down, she prepared to take the blow.
Separating her front legs, and tipping her head so her forehead and cranium was exposed.
She was going to block his attack with her head.
Curling her claws into the ground she made sure she wouldn't budge.
Z gasped lightly.
This wasn't going to end well.
He hoped Scarlet was doing the right thing.
And wasn't going to get hurt.

This may not have been a good idea for the young Bruiser. Phrixios was a battle-hardened soldier, used to war and the blows that came with it. Digging his claws into the ground with every movement Phrixios lowered his skull more and slammed his entire weight into the female.

Sending her skidding backwards at least a few feet, her own claws scraping concrete and steel from where it lay, he stood in his own trench of clawmarks, tilting his head upwards to roar, slamming his tail upon the ground and shaking the very earth he stood upon. This male was huge - he was not one easily taken down, nor deterred by anyone in his path. Though, he was slightly addled by the ramming, eyes unfocused and blood pounding in his ears.

Scarlet swayed from side to side.
The blow had discombobulated her.
She hadn't expected on the blow to be so powerful.
Shaking her head, she tried to focus her eyes.
Her breath steadied and she wondered what to do next.
She decided to retaliate back.
To show him that she wasn't going to be scared away.
Curling her claws in, she prepared to dash at him.
Pulling her front legs back, she propelled her torso forward.
Her arms and legs rapidly gaining speed.
Then, just feet before the male, she jumped.
Attempting to pounce at him like a lion.
Her claws stretched out.

Having seen a jumping attack like this before Phrixios shifted to brace himself, teeth bared out and low rumbling sounds coming from deep in his chest. It seemed that he had no intentions of speaking to this new hinderance to his mission.

Letting her claws rake his back Phrixios turned and used his hindclaws to tear at her belly, continuing to roar and snap his jaws harshly at the female.

Scarlet gasped as the male counter attacked.
Bending her arms she jumped off his back and fell hard on the ground.
She was still recovering from his last attack plus this new one.
Landing on her side, she growled in pain.
She just lied there.
Maybe she would have time to regain her strength.

Z gasped.
Scarlet had never been beaten up so badly before.
He wanted to help her, but knew Scarlet would get mad.
He just gritted his teeth.
And hopped she would be alright.

Grunting as the other Bruiser used him as a counterbalance for her jump Phrixios turned and just watched her. Panting, his claws raked the ground as if he were to charge. Instead he just watched. What was the fun in turning on a downed enemy? This female surely had not known what she was getting in to.

Still at the ready he snorted and spoke, for the first time in many years. "Leave." A simple word, rough and gravelly from the disuse of his voice.

Scarlet looked up to the male.
She breathed heavily.
He told her to leave.
But she couldn't.
She was going to reply.
To yell "No".
But just as she was about to reply, she was something flicker in the corner of her eye.
A ball of purple light.
Heading towards the male.
His back was turned from it.
she wondered if it was going to make contact.

It might have made contact - if not for the sudden appearance of a blunt claw, snatching it out of the air. The claw attached to a pale, serpentine body, elongated and confident in stance. Dust billowed around her feet, dull claws crushing the rubble in which she stood. The Evren Soldier attached to that claw had a painfully focused expression; it dulled to indifference as she surveyed the ruined area and the two creatures at fault. 'Imperial monster destroying Jawan', her source had said. So she had come straight here, and to what? Not one Imperial, but two. She didn't care which one he was actually after. By Zu'hai, she'd take 'em both.

"Bruisers," she said quietly. Exasperation was clear in her voice. "Are you good for nothing else?"

Scarlet gasped.
So did Z.
Especially since he was the one that made the ball.
But he had failed.
"No!" He whispered silently.
He was able to use magic, but only once.
Being to weak to conjure any more.
He had failed at helping Scarlet.
Scarlet was afraid that they would notice Z.
That was the last thing she would want to happen.
But now she had another enemy?
He didn't seem friendly to her.
She had to get up to defend herself.
She tried.
But she wasn't ready yet.
But no matter what, she still tried.
finally she got her front torso up, her lower torso still lied there.
She hoped that they wouldn't attack while she was so defenseless.

Though the whizzing sound of something coming at him made Phrixios turn, it was the sudden apperance of the Soldier that had him again snarling, claws dragging roughly at the hard earth and stone at his feet. This was... Unacceptable! Now there were two, one of his own kind even, trying to stop him!

Ignoring the small bundle of purple fur he made as if to charge again, snorting and roaring as he took off in a rush to the Soldier, intending on either knocking her off of her feet or scare her off.

[Ander]

The unusual bundle of light dissipated in the Soldier's claws, aided by quick movement as she shook it away. She glared back at the only other purple creature in the area, her lip curling at the small feline on the wall. ...Magic. That's what she assumed it was, anyway; and she had no patience for the stuff. If a body wanted to fight, then there would be a fight! With bones and blood, not sparkling lights.

Some quaking figure at her feet distracted her from the Baby Doom, and the Soldier looked down. One of the Bruisers seemed to be having some serious trouble getting up. "Well, you obviously aren't the one causing trouble." The sound of thunder caught her ears. She turned toward the other Bruiser; only to, startled, watch him charging toward her. At least she knew how the Bruiser on the ground had gotten there.

Maybe this charging brute meant to mow her down. He would get a surprise - the Soldier jumped. Powerful leg muscles shot her straight into the air, her body remembering an evasion tactic often used.

Scarlet thought about tackling the Soldier while she was in the air.
But decided not to.
This would keep the Bruiser busy.
Allowing her time to get up and maybe get an attack in.
Placing her wobbly legs in place.
She slowly climbed to her feet.
The blow had been a hard one.
But she would have to deal with it.
There was going to be plenty of more where that came from.
Shaking her head, she decided to charge at the Bruiser.
Tilting her head towards the ground.
She charged at him.
The same way he had to her.
