"Face it, Lady Mesmaga, we are lost." The Venom Cuniflare spoke up grudgingly. "Your sense of direction must be muddled due to some unknown source." He said, shaking some rain off his nose.

The priestess, a Common Yonyuu in human form, sighed. "You are right, Torlye, we are indeed lost. I would only hope it was in a place where rain wasn't pouring." She also wished it wasn't a swamp, and that she wasn't so very covered in mud. "Well, let's get a move on, we aren't going to get anywhere whining about our predicament."

Dragging herself up onto a a small muddy island, Bonez sighed and sat down. She had been walking for hours, lost in the swamp, and this small island was the driest spot she could find. Sad, really, didn't it ever stop raining in this place? Then, as if just realizing that her lower half was in a large puddle, Bonez got to her paws and limped further up onto 'dry land', favoring her rear left leg as she always did. Her paws felt like they were made of led, and it didn't help that she sunk down into the mud about in inch each time she tried to take a step. Lying down on top of a rock, Bonez rested her head on her muddy paws, and soon became lost in thought.

Why on earth did I come here? Oh well, didn't really matter now, it's not like knowing why I decided to wander into a swamp will help me get out of said swamp..... Wait, is someone over there?  Yes, she was sure that
she saw something moving.  Now, it could be a friendly, or it could be something that wants to eat me. Either way, it can't get any worse.... Bonez perked her ears forward as she made her choice, then threw back her head and howled.

Torlye's ears perked. "Mistress, did you hear that?" He asked, swerving around to observe the priestess.

"I'm not deaf you know, of course I can hear a creature howling. Though you do have better hearing then me, perhaps you can detect if it's a warning howl or not?" The last problem the pair wanted to have was getting on a hostile creature's territory and have to be chased out.

Torlye's ears perked again. Beneath the pattering rain, he could hear many a bubbles popping, and even a frog croaking in the distance. No matter, though, what was the emotion in that howl? Listening closely, he could make out a bit..... "Priestess, I believe it isn't aggressive. I think I would have heard other aggressive noises as well." Maga couldn't argue with that reasoning.

"Well, let's get a closer look then."

Oh, great, there are two of them, and they're both comming over here.... perhaps I shouldn't have done that. If I've just called over a pair of hungry somethings, they probbably wouldn't want to help me get out of this mud pit. In one piece, at least. Allowing herself a small morbid chuckle, Bonez stood up on top of the rock she had found and sniffed the air, her mixed emotions about possible company almost completly overwhelming her tiredness.

"Stupid rain..." Bonez mumbled as she shook her head to clear the water from her eyes, "Can hardly see a thing...." The Tali blinked and squinted as she spoke, as if trying to bring something far away into focus. "I can see bright green though..... Geez, I'm talking to my self again, bad Bonez, stop it!" Bonez snorted and sat down on her rock, still keeping her eyes on the approching creatures. Just in case.

"Um... Mistress, believe it is speaking." Torlye spoke up, his ears pricked. Maga automatically perked up.

"Can you hear what it is saying?" Torlye shook his head, mumbling a bit. Maga looked at her companion, who was still perking his ears, as if straining to hear more. Maga sighed and trekked forward. If there was no aggression there was no harm, even it the creature did not require help, yes? The Venom Cuniflare sighed at her reckless antics and darted off after her.

Glacial Fellox

Rain continued to plummet down into the swampy lands in a steady amount.  Shadow growled in aggravation as the rain struck him.  Never before had he been so drenched.  He shook his body, trying to fling off as much of the water as he could and found refuge under a wide-spread tree.

"Man, it never stops raining here does it!  I just thought those people were exaggerating when they said that."  He wiped his face dry with his paw and gave one more shake.  'I don't even remember why I wanted to come here'  He slouched down and laid his head on his paws with a sigh.  Suddenly, faint voices reached him throught the pitter-patter of the rain drops.  His ears pricked up and he stood, stiffening his body.  He strained to listen against the rain.  There it was again!  There were others here!  Hoping to join a group for companionship, he left the protection of the tree and ventured forth in search of the voices.

Mesmaga suddenly stopped. "What now?" Torlye grumbled. "Have you thought over your rash decision?"

"I feel another presence, Torlye." Torlye responded to his mistress' words, and crouched down, flicking his ears. You could never be too careful. What if this creature meant harm?

Stepping over a low bush, Shadow caught a glimpse of the creatures who's voices he was tracking.  One was a Venom Cuniflare and the other...well...looked to be human but not entirely.  By the look of their faces he had undoubtedly startled them.  At least now he knew he wasn't alone.  He sniffed the air slowly.  Just as he thought...the supposed human was half Yonyuu as well.  The scent of Yonyuus were familiar to him seeing as he lived with a few.  

Trying to seem as friendly as possible, he laid his ears back in a submissive action and lightly wagged his tails.  "Hello there.  My name's Shadow.  May I learn both yours?" He called out, taking a few cautious steps toward them.

Tayon

A fellox lay in a bush, where he was somewhat out of the endless rain. He was asleep, his chest rising and falling gently. Then he woke with a start. He had heard a howl, but it subsided. He was about to go back to sleep when he heard more voices. There were two of them and they were comming closer. Then he heard a third voice. Right ouside of his bush. He shifted backwards, away from the voice, but didn't notice the muddy patch. With a yelp, he slid down a slope to land in front of a Cuniflare and a human yonyuu. He jumped up, snarling. He held a paw off the ground, keeping it near his chest. It was swollen and obviously sore with a few cuts on it. He lowered his head, daring the others to come closer. He scanned the area, and saw the other fellox, no doubt the one who was standing right outside of his bush before. He didn't see the Tali though, who was behind him.

Maga turned toward Shadow. "Why hello there. I am Lady Mesmaga, though you may call me Maga, if you please. My companion is Torlye." She said pleasantly. Torlye stared at the newcomer suspiciously. He seemed friendly enough, but you should never judge a book by it's cover., especially one in the middle of pouring rain in a bog.

Then, Teyon slid into the clearing and snarled. Torlye immediately stood in an offensive position, facing the attacker. Maga, however, noticed his paw.

"Excuse me, does that paw happen to be injured?"

Shadow knew he probably seemed suspicious.  He would be cautious of strangers approaching him in such an uncommon place as well.  He stood in place, making no more advancements toward the pair.  He didn't want to make them feel threatened.  He figured they would accept him when they found him to be okay themselves.  

"It's a pleasure to meet you Lady Mesmaga.  A pleasure to meet you as well, Torlye."  He bowed respectfully.  

Startled by the sudden interruption of the other fellox, Shadow practically jumped out of his skin.  'The rain must have hidden his scent...I didn't smell him coming.'  Shadow regained his composure and turned to the stranger fellox.

"Oh my word!  Are you alright?"  He asked, swaying in his place, trying to decide whether or not approaching him would be a wise decision.

OOC: I don't really care about turns...I just try to follow what the leader (in this case, Kelica) wants.

Tayon shut his mouth but kept in a defensive position, eyeing the others warily. Then he heard two others asking him if he was alright, or if his paw was injured. He hesitated for a moment, then nodded to the yonyuu human. He hopped backwards to reposition the way he was resting on his leg, but yelped as one of his tails brushed against the Tali. He jumped forwards, and fell over, his uninjured front leg unable to take his weight. He slammed into the ground and yelped again as his injured paw grazed the ground. Then he looked up at the others, wincing. He was still very wary of them.

"Dear me!" Maga exclaimed when Tayon fell to the ground, and went to inspect his paw. "Hmm. Nothing I can't fix." She kneeled near him, and put her hands on his paw. For a moment, you could see Maga and Tayon's paw glowing, then the cuts started to magically heal.

Torlye sighed at his lady's antics. Really, was that a wise thing to do? Healing a stranger in front of even more strangers? She really shouldn't be flaunting her powers like that....

Shadow backed away from the struggling fellox.  He could only manage to get out a "Be carefull!" before the fellox went down again.  He seemed to be extremely nervous of everyone which wasn't helping the situation much.  He could see his leg was injured but could do nothing to help so he stayed put with a quiet whine.  Shadow hated being useless in any kind of situation.

He observed as Lady Mesmaga rushed to his aid.  Astonished, he watched on as a faint glow surrounded the Yonyuu's hand and the fellox's paw.  'Amazing!  This woman has a healing touch!'  He looked from one to the other.  These people were unlike anyone else he had ever seen.

"How did you obtain such a wondrous ability, Lady Mesmaga? If you don't mind me asking."

Tayon recoiled slightly as the woman came up to him, but he didn't do anything more since he could sense that she didn't mean him any harm. When she healed the cuts on his paw, he tested it on the ground, unsure. Convinced, he shifted so he was on all fours but still crouched down. Then he looked up at her, and hesitated. He obviously wasn't used to this. Then he looked around warily then at the ground. "Thank...thank you." As he spoke, his voice had a rough and confident sound to it that wild pets tend to have.
