Jazz) "Oh, We're off," I said and whipped out my wings as I took off after Iggy. I got close enough for a convo. "So, Iggy, I hear you're a great cook," I said, trying to make a conversation. "And Gazzy is a little terrorist." I giggled.

((Sen needs some more love. Her posts are gonna be a bit more random, I guess whenever I feel like giving her some love? She has no one to interact with right now so she'll be wandering for a bit and I guess getting into trouble until she eventually meets up with the flock xD So bare with her presence until then!))

Sen lifted her grubby hands and examined them. She'd only gone a few blocks before her stomach grumbled quite loudly. She'd slipped into an alley way in hopes of getting to the other side of town much more quickly, seeing as all the streets in this town were confusing and messy and made no sense to her. She could find her way around a forest no problem. But in the middle of houses and buildings? No way in heck. So she decided to take the most straight rout as possible. That hadn't ended so well. She'd been forced to clamber over a fence topped with bits of barbed wire and drenched in rust and oil. Now she was covered in dirt. She only hopped she could find some place to wash up and eat before nightfall.

Brushing her jeans off and rubbing her frozen fingers together, she readjusted her new cap and headed further down the alley. after a few minutes of what seemed like going in circles, she stopped and sighed. She was getting nowhere. A bottle clinked behind her and she jumped, spinning around. A tall man stepped from the shadows, followed closely by another slightly shorter man. They wobbled a bit, giant grins spreading across their faces. Great, just great.

"What's a pretty little girl like you doing out here all alone?" the taller one slurred. Sen backed up.

"Yeah. It's almost dark. Shouldn't you be at home, getting ready for beddy-bye?" he laughed - a sickening, terrifying laugh. Still, Sen held her ground. Stuborn as always.

[Azure]

I laughed. "You make it sound like we're famous." My wing beats slowed to match Jazz's, creating a steady rhythm. "I can cook better than everyone else in the Flock, yeah, but trust me-- that isn't saying much."

Gazzy whizzed up next to us. You could hear the grin in his tone. "And that's me all right: Bombardier Extraordinaire, the Gasman. That over there's my trusty right-hand man, the Iggster."

I let a half-grin curl up. "Iggster. I like it."

I quickly followed everyone toward the house. My wings feeling nice to be stretched out again. When we got there I exclaimed, "What a nice house!"

(Would it be over kill to have 3 Characters?)

Jazz) "Interesting, and you pretty much are famous, remember?" I laughed as I got lost in the beat that me and the guys' wings were making. It was steady, like a lullaby almost. I quieted down and closed my eyes, smiling, letting my senses become my eyes. Suddenly, a question hit me. "Iggy," I muttered. "What is it like to be blind? I'm really sorry if this offends you, but I have higher senses than most other mutants, so.." I trailed off, just like that.

I pushed myself to my feet and watched as bird kids arrive at the house, all talking and getting to know one another. Somewhere deep down it sort of hurt to see my flock talking in such a friendly way to those people they'd just met. I knew it was wrong to feel that. I knew it was a good thing that we found others like us, but it still hurt. It wasn't the six of us any more. Hearing Iggy's voice as he approached, I stepped outside.

"Hey Ig, can I talk to you for a second?"

Jazz) When Iggy, the Gasman, and I were getting close, I could hear Max's voice calling to Iggy. I muttered a curse or two as we approached the nice house. Spiffy, I thought.

Jake) "Wow, this place is nice!" exclaimed Jake as he stepped in. "Joey, you were right! This is way better than the desert back home!"

[Azure]

"Heh," I coughed, "like we'd be famous for our actual interests. All the people see is mutant bird freaks trying to save the day and put on a flashy show. Chances are how well we can plug together some C4 or bake cookies aren't the first questions they'd want answered. And being blind? Not what it's cracked up to be in the movies. Blank, annoying and boring. 'Least I can feel colours, but any acid junkie could tell you that." Getting a little annoyed with this chick, I flapped my wings harder and pushed myself through the entrance of the Flock's house.

Gazzy shrugged at Jazz, looking from her to Iggy to Jazz again. "He's kinda touchy about his sight 'n all. Sorry 'bout that." The Gasman hopped to his feet and jogged inside the house's entrance.

Jazz) Okay, I wasn't built to put up with crap. I was strong, and able to take down anyone. But I felt guilt. I didn't even land on the deck. I swerved to a cliff and sat there. I huddled and sat there, feeling disgusted. Why am I so insensitive? I asked myself because, even from here, I could feel Iggy's hurt.

Alarms rang in a near bye store. A man runs out into an alley way and keeps pushing forward. He holds a sack which has goods in it. He slows down once he thinks the cops might have lost where he was. "Why can't you be sensible Ash?" He mumbles to himself. He walks farther down and sees a young girl getting confronted by two men. He slips into a shadow and watches.

Max watched Iggy approach. Instantly on guard as she saw his face she was ready for the fumes that almost visibly spewed from his head. What had that girl said to him? Frustration worked it's way up inside her and she gave a quick glare to the girl he'd left Gazzy with and then spun to follow Iggy inside. "Ig, let's go down and get some groceries. I think we're out and definately don't have enough for this many people."

Jazz) Iggy's emotions cut me like a knife. What have I done? I went into my numb state. I sent out my senses, keeping on guard. I felt Max mad at me as well, now. I should just leave, shouldn't I? I took my hair out of my braid and let it blow out in the breeze. The scent cleared my head as I sensed animal instincts on my mental radar. I physically shrugged, moving on to scoping out any danger. There was none. I sighed and let my emotions flood back into me. As I pulled my senses back in, I thought I felt someone closeby. Oh Well, I snapped at myself as I closed my eyes again, remembering the feeling of flying in tone with Iggy and Gazzy.

[Azure]

I heard Max, but didn't stop walking until I reached the other side of the room, my palms pressing hard against a window ledge. I clenched and unclenched my teeth a few times, trying to slow my breath. In, out. The paint on the window frame was chipped. White flakes exposed an ugly green-gray wood underneath. Stupid flakes. My fingers itched. Everyone's voices were crashing together. Couldn't they shut up for once? In, out. I didn't turn to face Max. "Yeah." I lifted a foot on the window ledge and pushed out into the air again. Didn't really matter which way I went. Fly far enough, and I'd hit something eventually.

Jazz) I looked up as I sensed a flash of anger in the air. It was Iggy. By himself. I sighed and flew after him. I stayed behind, trying to stay unnoticed. I just didn't want him to get caught up in something alone and get hurt. Was I a bad person for that? I hoped not. I stayed behind him about 200 feet. I hoped nothing caught me since I was focused on the area near Iggy.

Just look away, walk back the way you came. Just ignore them and they'll go away. Sen inched backwards, keeping eye contact but forcing a calm look onto her face. She didn't have the time to freak out. So instead she let her breath come steadily through her slightly opened mouth as she moved away. Her back hit a wall. Damn it! She'd misjudged the distance to the nearby alley she'd come out of. Why did this always happen to her? The taller man laughed and moved towards her, much more quickly then she'd been moving. His buddy followed.

"You got a nice body." he said, leaning towards her. She looked away and tried to move sideways. The shorter man blocked her path. "C'mon, stay and chat with us a bit!" the taller one exclaimed, grabbing Sen's wrist. Something snapped in her just then. She did a quick spin, slipping her thin wrist from his grip and snapping a roundhouse kick against his chest. He stumbled backwards wheezing. The shorter man made some sort of growling noise and dove for her. Something clipped her cheek and she felt pain, but ignored it. Instead, she focused on the shorter man. She sent a sharp elbow to the man's side, slipped form his grip and sent another kick his way, this time hitting him where it counts. He dropped like a rock. The taller one stood and lunged but stopped, eyes wide.

"What the-" he said, pointing. "Cat ears?" a grin broke out across his face and he began to laugh. Sen's hand shot to her head where she found her hat missing. She glanced about to find it lying on the ground. Turning to face the man, she flattened her ears in anger.

"I just bought that cap with the rest of my money! And you knock it off and laugh!" she hissed, letting her small, pointy fangs show. She was not happy. "I can do much worse then that. Do you wanna test that?" she said, pointing at his shorter friend. The man took one more look at her, realized that the ears weren't fake and decided that it'd be best to leave. Imediately. He didn't even wait for his buddy, but instead scrambled in the oposite direction barely holding back a scream. Such a coward.

She turned, picked up her hat and placed it roughly over her ears. Suddenly she didn't feel so well. She hated fights, hated situations like this. But somehow it kept happening. She was shaking slightly and knew she had a bit of blood on her cheek and was probably covered in a lot of dirt...fun. Now she had no place to eat, sleep and was slightly hurt and freak out.
