I looked down and saw them. Two kids, just like me. I went down fast. I slowed down right next to them.
"Oh my gosh!" I whispered.
"I'm so sorry about running into you! I was just so excited to see some one like me!" I looked at them, trying to figure out if they were real.

Watching as Max went down I looked up looking for the other figure, but didn't have time as it wasn't long before Max was flying towards me with her arms crossed over her chest, looking angry. I blinked, confused, when she asked me if I was the one that flew into her. I quickly shook my head.

"No of course not! I had just steped outside when I saw someone crash into you! By the way where are they? And who were they? And why did they attack you? And where did they come from? And-" I stopped abruptly when Max's attention shifted upwards. I followed her gaze to the other figure. It was a girl, about Max's hight, shoulder-length brown hair in a ponytail and cute little freckles.

"Either there are more of us than we thought or they're trying to trick us again... or both." I heard Max say and I nodded, on gaurd. I was a little surprised when the girl came down and started freaking out saying she was sorry. She suddenly didn't seem like a threat and looked at Max wondering what she thought about this.

I groaned and lurched awake on the gritty couch I'd fallen asleep on about an hour before, feeling waves of reddish-blond ripple through my fingers as I messed my hair in frustration. What was everyone doing? Stomping to my feet, I stalked outside the house and unfurled my wings for takeoff. Nudge was being so loud, her voice was pulsing off the mountain walls, beating my ears like a snot-nosed four-year-old pounding a gong. And had I heard Max yelp? Pinpointing the source of the voices, I tilted my right wing and tipped myself lower. Tiny gusts bounced off the ground to my wings, and I jabbed my heels down to meet land seconds later. Skidding to a neat stop, I smiled briefly to myself, satisfied, when I heard Max's nagging and Nudge's blabbing float around me. I dropped the grin before anyone had the chance to see it.

"The hell guys!" I moaned, "I'd just fallen asleep, like, a minute ago, and here you are screaming so loud I can hear you from back at the house!" Being a blind bird kid chased by freaks and geeks on a regular basis didn't exactly make a heavy sleeper out of you. I didn't even notice the third voice surrounding me.

"Oh I'm really sorry to wake you!" I said. "How many are there of you?" I asked curiously. I was shaking with excitement at the new discovery of the kids who were freaks like me! And now I wanted to get to know them. But it seemed like they might not want me around. I shifted on my feet and I looked at them.

What they look like: Blonde hair, blue and deep brown eyes, tall (about 6ft 4in) and lanky with thin muscles, wears a light-weight black jacket, jeans, black sneakers. Semi-pale, alhtough doesn't really get sunburned.
Gender: Male

I opened my eyes to see the sun shining through the trees. I groaned and sat up as I was sprayed by the mist from the falls. As I stood up and shook my wings, I heard a crash through the underbrush. My wings immeadiately unfolded, and I was about fly off, but a hand shot out and grabbed my ankle as soon as I was 3 feet off the ground.

I turned and practically growled as I swung my other foot over to deliver a nasty kick to the hand wrapped around my left foot, but stopped as I stared down at the tan hand in confusion. "Jake... ?" I whispered as the familiar figure stepped out from the bushes. "When did you get a tan?" was about the only thing I could say at that point.

He smiled and explained how he flew everywhere trying to find me. "I think I saw some kids like us," he told me after he was done. I snorted in disbelief. "You don't believe me? Come take a look for yourself," he said as he grabbed my wrist, hurled me into the air and took off.

After about 3 hours of nonstop flying, we reached Colorado, and I saw a group of kids below. "Um.... Jake?" I said as he landed next to the group, wings outstretched. I sighed and landed, folding my wings. I had never been social, ever, so I drew in the sand with me shoe.

"So.... hi?" I tried with and embarrassed smile and a slight movement of my shoulder as I tiny shrug. Oh boy.... I thought.

I flipped around and looked at the two new comers. More? There was a lot of people just like me! I was super excited.
"Hello there!" I said friendlily.

I looked outside the door way. Every every one seemed to be gone. I sensed other people down lower in the canyon. I saw Iggy fly off earlier and decided to head over to investigate. I flew over to some near by trees and saw it. Tons of kids talking to, Iggy, Nudge, and Max. I didn't see anything wrong, but just to make sure, I watched.

While Jake was talking to everyone else, I sensed a new presence above somewhere I whirled around to see another kid looking down at our group. Nobody noticed him but me, because, oh yeah! I have that ability to sense other people around me. Sorry for the late info. I just stared at him and nobody even noticed me flying off to see who the newcomer was.

Fang quickly stood very still and blended into the tree bark. He smiled an watched as the kid approached him. Who was he? Why was he trying to get closer to him? What was up with that? Fang watched quietly. He paced what he was going to do when the new kid got closer. But for now, he would wait.
