Oh boy! Here he was, at the Unofficial Evelonian Battle Arena, ready to show off his psychic powers! This was going to be fun, it was. And he was going to show his parents how tough he was! He held his head high as he entered the stadium. With one of his paws, he pushed the goggles off his hat and down onto his face. He was ready!

Humph! While her friend Odhran was out, gallivanting who knew where, Ailbhe decided to take out some of her frustrations in the Battle Arena. Figment, the son of Ice and Fire, had decided to join her for a battle. He was a tough little Lucain, but she could handle him. She'd been bred for war, after all! This was what she was born for!

The Kitrell--a friend of his from the farm--was a tricksy one, she was, but Figment knew a trick or two. Trying to catch her off-guard, he bobbed and wove, swiping his claws through the air to attack her. Would he catch her, or would his jump fall short?

Ailbhe soared skyward. Time to show off her wings! She would show her friend a battle he'd never forget. She dove down to nip at him.

Ha ha! Hit! Figment swiped at the Kitrell. Nice move, him! Now he'd go the psychic route and see where that got him. Narrowing his eyes, he concentrated, and a ball of psychic energy went flying toward Ailbhe.

Curses! A miss! Well, she'd have to be more careful next time. Still fluttering up near the ceiling, after just escaping Figment's swipe, she lowered her talons and tried to claw him back. She'd get him yet!

Figment pounced! He threw the ball of energy into the Kitrell. His attack hit! She was struck by the crackling ball.

Ailbhe fell, but she was laughing as she did so. The ball of energy didn't hurt so much as it tickled unbearably.

"Ha ha! You got me, Figment!" she laughed.

"Got ya, Ailbhe!" Figment said. He nosed her in the belly.

"Nice match! Let's go home and get something to eat!"

Behind him, his mom and dad were grinning from horn to horn.
