Thought I'd just see how popular DRoP is in Evelon. ^-^ Anyway—here are the rules, form, etc.

RULES
We all hate 'em, but no-one can live without 'em.
~Be literate—I have absolutely no patience with someone who has no grammatical or spelling sense. A few slip-ups will be forgiven, but if you post lyk dis just bcause u dont want 2 typ rite, I will eat you.
~Don't have one-liners. I understand writer's block, really. But add some thought to your posts, please?
~General role-playing principles. No god-modding, Mary Sues, etc.
~Type "whiterider"somewhere in your form to show you have read all of this. I'll ask you to edit your form if you don't.
~You shouldn't have anything that looks...wrong—such as, if your rider and dragon are in the middle of Threadfall, they should NOT be drinking juice.
~You should have at least a basic knowledge of Pern.
~Two characters apiece at most.

WHAT'S GONNA HAPPEN
Since this isn't an entire RPG, we're going through several base points. Just once, and if there's enough interest I guess we can do it again? *shrugs*
~Hatching of dragon eggs and Impression by Candidates
~Hatching of fire lizard eggs and Impression
~Threadfall
~Rising ((PG13, this is, and if you're not mature enough to handle it, don't join))

FORM
Name: This should be a Pern name, not something like "Catherine."If your character is a male, it will be shortened by the traditional honorific. Example: Terid is shortened to T'rid.
Gender: What can I say?
Age: Should be between 14—19
Appearance: What s/he looks like. Hair color, eye color, clothing, etc. Remember, there are no jeans in Pern. O_O Should be at least a paragraph.
Personality: How s/he acts, what s/he likes or dislikes, etc. Should be at least a paragraph.
History: Were they brought up in a Weyr? In a Crafthall? A Hold? Under what circumstances were they Searched? Things like that.

All characters start off as Candidates. –There will only be gold, bronze, brown, blue and green dragonets hatching, no weird colors, 'cause Sweet can't think that hard.

My Form—my character starts as the Weyrwoman, because if she didn't, there would be no eggs to Impress.
Name: Meira
Gender: Female
Age: 18
Appearance: Tall and slender, Meira has straight, dark brown hair that falls around her shoulders. Her eyes are large and exotic, bearing chocolaty lashes that contrast sharply with the paleness of her skin. Green-eyed, Meira's face has delicate features—her nose and mouth are slight, and her chin is pointed. Generally with her hair pulled up, Meira has a cheerful appearance. Usually, she is cloaked in soft, lilac robes.
Personality: Strong-willed, Meira has a slightly fiery temper that flares up occasionally. She's sweet to most people, but has a habit of judging people by appearance. Not exactly talkative, but by no means shy, Meira is slightly withdrawn, not taking well with new people. Although she's always been supportive to the Weyr, she doesn't like being piled with responsibilities and wants to just be a regular person.
History: Meira started as an apprentice Harper at Harper Hall, where she was taken because of her voice despite her gender. She learned how to play many instruments along the way, although her main focus was always on singing praises to the Weyr. Once, she was taken to a nearby Hold to sing, whereupon a Greenrider on Search found her and brought her to the Weyr. Impressing the gold dragonet, Reith, Meira was soon the Weyrwoman...

The dragons had been thrumming for a while now; the eggs were close to Hatching. The Sands were hot, the eggs were rocking slightly. A single gold egg lay on the Sands. Reith had her tail twined around the egg as she thrummed, her chest and throat vibrating with the motion. In the stands, Meira waited quietly, her eyes fixed on her golden queen.
All at once, the thrumming stopped; the eggs began to crack. But where are the Candidates?
