Lol, I have no idea what streetpass is. Does that involve someone else with a 3DS and the game having to be near you with internet open or something similar? I keep hearing about streetpass and spotpass, but no idea. XD

Yes, streetpass is walking past someone who plays the same game as you. You might have to enable it in your settings if you haven't already. Put your DS in your bag next time you go somewhere where there are a lot of people, and you could pass them and transfer info between your DS and theirs. You have to leave it on in sleep mode, though. You can tell when you've gotten one by a little green light near/on your right bumper.

For Pokemon, you can go in their secret bases, and battle their team! And they battle yours. You can also use a default 3DS program called 'Mii Plaza' to meet other people's Miis and play mini games with them for a good example of how it works.

Spotpass is similar, it works by connecting to WiFi. This is how your DS gets updates and promos from games.

It's not a guarantee, but you can catch your own Lati@s with it. Also, since it's available, you might be able to pick one up on the GTS if you have any other legendaries you can give up. More and more people will have Latis to trade as time goes on.

Aw, bummer. I don't go anywhere where people have 3Ds's, which sucks. I'll have to try and trade for it. I was hoping to trade on here so I could get a nicknameable one; I dislike Pokemon without nicknames, and I dunno why. They feel less personal. Heh, but thanks! Now I know what it is. ^^

I am so late to the party but I finally got the game and aaaaaaa it's amazing I can't. Sobsobs. I haven't even made it to the first gym leader yet, but idc. :'l I got Sapphire, just so folks know, yep, and started with Torchic. Tbh the two features I'm probably most excited about is the new secret base and DRESSING UP PIKACHU. Sadly, I left my DS charger back at my dad's so once it runs out of battery, that may be all the playing for me for a couple days. Sighs loudly.
