I've read in several forums that if someone xfers ha mudkip over to x/y and breeds, the new breeding mechanics allow the ha to pass down. O .o But I'm wanting one because it seems like it'd be a good ability to have. If I can't get one, torrent works too. Just figured I'd try.

Yea, the new breeding mechanics allow you to breed a HA down from a male, so it's possible to get one from someone who did so, they just weren't too common to begin with.

Damp is a really limited use ability. The stuff it protects against hardly comes up, even in just a normal playthrough. I'm really bummed he didn't get something more useful like Water Absorb or even Hydration, since Mudkip is my favorite starter.

meh, I just figured I'd try to get one. I agree it would have been better if it had water absorb. I LOVE that ability.

I can breed gen 1, 2, 5 and 6 HA starters, though, if anyone here needs them.

Oh, no it didn't sound negative! xD; Sorry if my response read as me being rude or anything. I've just seen quite a few posts of other people expressing the same sentiment, but I like comparing by using. And my swampert hardly ever gets down below half hp since he gets in, knocks the opponent out, and keeps going. xD;

Yea neither of Swampert's abilities work for him too well. His defenses are high enough to keep his HP too high for Torrent, and he can live through an Explosion anyway. It's a bit of a bummer really.

Swift Swim on Mega Swampert is glorious, though. His speed without it is miserable.
