I was making some Lucain previews for myself when I thought that it might be something other people would find useful, too.

So, would anyone else be interested in flatcolor Lucain previews? They'd look like this...



If people are interested, I can make more markings (and the boys) and set up a shop, I suppose.

Edit: Yea I don't want to charge for these. They'd be free.

I know there's always a demand for this sort of thing. There were a couple of shops in the Bazaar devoted to this in the past, but they've mostly closed down for a number of reasons. (Lack of time, people abusing the services as less of a "show me how this custom might look" service and more of a "design my custom for me" service, et cetra.) So you would find customers pretty darn quickly, I can just about guarantee you!

Ooh, Jed and I were actually working on something like this for ourselves We just weren't sure whether or not it was allowed since the images from the main site aren't ours. You could definitely get a lot of business, that's for sure! Ironically enough, Jed finished all the markings for the male lucain, so we have the males done xD Although I can already tell that we did ours in a different and probably sloppier way than you did yours, haha

I would so be in need of this.  I'm terrible at envisioning customs in my mind, so if this kind of thing opened back up it would be a great help to me.  I've done my best to make a form for a 'cain custom of mine, though I have no idea if it will actually work out how I hope!  So a way to preview the form would be a godsend. c:

Yea, I really don't want to charge for it because that seems wrong, considering I didn't make the original art. I don't think it'd be against the rules? Especially if I don't charge for it.

What I did was just vector trace it. So I can make them any size and recolor them quickly. However, vector tracing is fairly time consuming.

Since it's a trace, it's not 100% accurate, but it's good enough to compare colors and see how things overlap.

I was personally thinking of reopening my shop, if only because I can also offer previews for things other Lucain.

Thing is, it's as Freezair said. People came to me asking me to design their customs, and that was insanely time consuming. If I did reopen my bazaar shop, I would have to get rid of that option if I want it to be manageable again. I would be fine with people give me an image and their own translation of it, but I wouldn't want five million ref images and then the member telling me to design the breedable for them.
