The topic title is straight to the point.

I know that a lot of users have fan characters on Evelon, from animes, movies, books, you name it, so I was wondering just what sorts of pets/characters we all have and where they originate from. So, if you have a character based on another existing character, even if just in a name or general theme, show 'em off right here! I would love to see them!

I have quite a few fan characters, in varying degrees, so I'm only going to show off a few now. More will, most likely, come later.


Baron here is based off of Baron Nashor, a monster from the the online computer game, League of Legends. The colors are the obvious thing I tried to mimic but some of the creature's history is similar, as well, my Baron being a creature that was essentially a vicious river spirit who was chased out of its home and ended up in Evelon.


Mumu is based off of Amumu, a playable character also from League of Legends. His character is similar, having been mummified and abandoned without any memories of the ordeal.


Harley is based off of the Earth Zero AU version of Harley Quinn. Again, her character is similar, being a good natured psychiatrist that, unfortunately, has a crazy, destructive side. She was essentially made this way, though, as she ended up taken in by a secret agency that makes her mentally manipulate people into essentially becoming fighting machines. She's currently being used by the Imperials.


Ayame's name was stolen from Ayame from Fruits Basket, because I always loved the name and fancied his odd character. However, my Ayame's character is based off of Shimeji from the manga, Lovers Doll. (He's the red eyed one.)

Oooh~ I only have a few right now, but I also have some that I am planning on getting =3.


This girl is based on The Queen Of The Reef from the ps4 game Destiny. Her base color and eventually her name are based directly off of the game. I gave her an evelon twist but most aspects of her personality and back story are based off of the game she is from.


Based off of Anu the sky-god, the god of heaven, lord of constellations, king of gods, spirits and demons, and dwelt in the highest heavenly regions. Only in name and 'power' otherwise he is his own character. When coming up wit his character I wanted a god based in the sky especially stars and Anu happened to be exactly what I was looking for.

This guy:

He's loosely based on the protagonist of a pretty obscure urban fantasy series. And by loosely I mean that I co-opted the telephone spirit that the protagonist is sort of possessed by, and some of the details of the possession situation, and made up the rest. He is sort of accompanied in this by Jessamine:

Jessamine is a fan character in the sense that her nature as the anthropomorphic personification of a city is part of a near-identical concept from my main universe that, in turn, is based on sorcery in the aforementioned series.

So it's more of a thematic similarity, in both cases. And that's pretty much all I've got in the fan character area.

I have a handful of characters that are loosely based on characters they remind me of, but my two most blatant are Toothless Sleepyheart and Sylveon Lucain.

Of course their source characters don't have very complex/detailed personalities, so I have a lot of free reign with them.

Oh! Can't forget this gal, but I got her second hand. She wasn't my idea, but I love her.

I have a lot more of them then I should, but hey, I do RP characters from things outside Evelon a lot. Most of mine follow the character closely, or some deviate a tad-- like AU.


First, I got Raito-- who is essentially like Light from Death Note. He is still Light in many ways, except in an AU where he is working with Beyond, L is around, etc. Basically hasn't been caught yet. Mello on the right is also from Death Note, and is in the same AU. Mikami is himself, but he has a hatred for Raito and blamed him for ruining his life.


Grimm(Undertaker), Bastian, Grelle, and Ciel here are all based on characters from Black Butler. Not much change to them really, maybe I put them in a modern setting at some times. Some AU elements sprinkled here and there too.


Sable is based on Nero from FF7: Dirge of Cerberus, but I'm not sure if he is too different or not. Haven't RPed him in forever to really know anymore. Reno is Reno basically.


Jack and Cohen are based on those from Bioshock, Jack making it to the surface and living a not-so-normal life while Cohen kinda... floats between being topside and in Rapture still.


Slenderman. Nuff said.


Daniel is based on the same from Amnesia: The Dark Descent, going off the revenge ending. He made it out of the castle, but has some lasting trauma from the whole ordeal and can't quite adjust to normal life.


Based on the Marionette (or Puppet) from Five Nights at Freddy's 2.


Based on Android (or Cyborg rather) 17 from Dragonball Z. Hmm, haven't decided what AU to go on for him, but yeah... a character I liked as a kid. Silly mini Middy.


Queen Chrysalis from MLP.


Not based on anyone, but Zerit here is a fan character for Mass Effect. A Salarian scientist who has a bent view on things, he is in my top 5 most sinister characters of mine. I still need his custom forms =|


Adela comes from the Psycho Pass universe, she is a hunting hound due to being a latent criminal. I should really develop her more though.

I forgot about Treble here! Oops... at first he was basically Shriek from Batman Beyond, but has since deviated from him a bit. Still same sort of backstory and has some of the odd gadgets. I still love him though, made me appreciate sound and the ability to hear.


Sinclair here is also a fan character for Clock Tower, in his case, the third game. He is a subordinate that goes by the moniker of Sickle. Very very dangerous undead, that seems very hard to kill. Sinclair is my OC, and his backstory goes pretty far back for how gruesome it is.

Albert Alain Alkan, the butler-assassin that works for the Le Bel family in the infamous visual novel Hatoful Boyfriend. He's an interesting guy to RP since he rarely shows emotion and is almost robotic, but fiercely devoted to his duties.


Shadow Nageki / "Kageki," a very very minor character in Hatoful Boyfriend.


Kazuaki Nanaki, a main character from Hatoful Boyfriend. My favorite birdie, too. ;w; <3


Arion Rosemariné, a very very minor character from the manga Kaze to Ki no Uta, a character in my cabaret AU of it in Tuun Mountains.

The Batter, the main player character from an interesting indie horror game called OFF.


Zacharie, a side character from the indie horror game OFF. He's an items merchant and actually has two different masks, but I chose his cat mask for this paragon~ His other resembles a frog. o vo

Masamune from Samurai Warriors. His look is based on Masamune's appearance in the third game, so it's perhaps a bit out of date since the 4th game recently got released.

Pokeymanz! From my Pokeymanz games! I think it's pretty clear what 'mons they are xD

Lon'qu and Xane from Fire Emblem. I just got Lon'qu so I haven't used him yet, but Xane is in an AU of sorts with some of Shrewd's Fire Emblem pets, a hypothetical situation where he meets his dear friend Tiki after many years of wandering.

The Kid Icarus crew! I'm obsessed with that game, so naturally I have a ton of pets based on that :'| In order, they are Dark Pit, Pit, Pandora, Hades, and Viridi. I might remake Pit and Dark Pit into Soveris.

The Magistrey is based on the Vocaloid Kaito. Vocaloids don't have any set personality, but my particular interpretation of Kaito is based on the way one of my old friends roleplayed him years ago. The Lucain, Tai, is loosely inspired by a fanmade variation on Kaito called Taito. Taito is typically depicted as yandere, but Tai is more just straight up angry at the world :'U

Naoya, from Devil Survivor.

Chyra and Hadma, who are inspired by Magic Crafter and Peace Keeper dragons from the very first Spyro game, respectively.

While not "cosplay pets", Sparrow and Hawk here started out as Kid Icarus fan characters but have since been absorbed into my Half Fallen plot.

Similarly, Ryuu and Tori were once Vocaloid fan characters. However, they have always been my "mascots" of sorts and represent different parts of myself.

Arthur is, well, King Arthur. :U Start with the obvious, right? Personality most similar to the Broadway musical Camelot Arthur, though.

Vaguely Flynn Rider in color, name, and profession.

Beyond, Alex, and Matt from Death Note. As Middy said, sort of everyone's-currently-alive AU thing. Alex is the semi-canon "A" that Beyond shared a childhood relationship with who is hinted at in the novel and kind of mentioned once in one of the movies.

As much of a nerd as I am, I only have two true fan-characters so far because I'm so worried I won't be able to write them right. Dragon Age is kicking me in the feels right now though, so someday soon you might see some more DA fanpets cropping up.

Cole Kuhna because how could I not, honestly. He's from Dragon Age Inquisition and is such a darling. No idea how I'm gonna RP him (if I RP him at all which... I want to do, but I'm really not confident about writing in his voice, esp. his speech patterns). Might have to be an AU, since I don't really want to make fan-characters of the entire Inquisition.


On a more obscure note, my Lykuhna's character is taken from a film called A Werewolf Boy because THAT PUPPY DOG BROKE MY HEART. I haven't actively RPed him yet either, but I've written stuff for him on a word file that I plan to post eventually, set during the time they skipped over in the movie. Mmmmaaaaybe I'll try my hand at writing a happy ending for him, poor guy.

I died a little when I read the word "Hyren." MagiNation is one of my most ANCIENTEST fandoms; it's one of the things I got into right when I was first getting into the Internet side of nerdity and I made friends with people on the very first old pre-dA art site I was on because we all uploaded pictures of our fan-Magi and ADSJKFRDSGRDHFSGRSGREA. My Eurydice is actually based on my old fan-Dream Creature, the Skystern.

Anyway, enough geeking over obscure fandoms! Time to geek out over DIFFERENT obscure fandoms! ...Wait...


She's based on Samus Aran, from Metroid. Samus is one of my favorite game characters ever, and I LOVE the Metroid series to death.


Based off Midna, from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. And now there's a Choopa based off Midna, too. THIS PLEASES ME GREATLY.


Based off Double H, from the amazing game Beyond Good and Evil, and also my #1 All-Time Greatest Video Game Husbando. You might not understand it just by looking at him, but trust me. He is the greatest of husbando material.


Based off an obscure Game Boy game called Lil' Monster, which is not well known but which meant a lot to me as a child. She's based off the "mascot" creature of the game, a little catlike critter called Marion.


And this one comes from an obscure DS game! He's based on a griffin-type monster from a weird RPG called Monster Racers (not to be confused with Monster Rancher, though... we'll get to that in a moment), specifically the Exotic Blitzhawk.


Rygar is based off a Tiger, from Monster Rancher. Another of my favorite series. Tiger was my favorite from the anime when I was a kid, but although he's not my favorite in the games any more, I still have a lot of nostalgic love for him.


He also has babs based on Tiger subspeces: Tiger x Plant and Tiger x Pixie.


Amsterdam is based on the protagonist of the cult classic game Deadly Premonition, known for being, among other things, "so bad it's good," "utterly insane," "proof that something is seriously wrong with Japan," and "Wait I thought this game was supposed to be dumb and bad what's wrong with my chest where did these feels come from WHY WON'T THE TEARS STOP." The original character is called Francis York Morgan, and my Ilos is based on his imaginary friend, Zach. Although there's HUGE SPOILERS MMKAY involved there.


This guy's character is also based on that of another character from Deadly Premonition, Thomas MacLaine. (PFFFT. As I was writing this up, my media player shuffled up Thomas' theme song. HA.)

SO I REALLY LIKE PSYCHONAUTS
I have a downright obsessive number of customs based on the game Psychonauts. Also, normal pets whose personalities are based on the characters from the game. They are, in order they're listed here: Razputin Aquato (the main character) Dogen Boole (his best friend), Agent Ford Cruller (his mentor), Sasha Nein and Milla Vodello (SUPER AWESOME PSYCHIC SECRET AGENTS who are counselors for a summer camp in their downtime) Edgar Teglee (one of the side characters, but his world is the best in the game so he gets his own custom in my books), a G-Man (walking fountain of memes) and a very very loose interpretation of Dr. Loboto (one of the main villains of the game).

I'm sure I've forgotten some. But they'll come to me. Eventually.

Ok my fan characters... though most of them are purely design XD;;


Devon... lol he has a history behind him. His design and even a bit of who he is and what he is about is based on  the dark version of a rydrake... Now dark spectrobes are actually normal spectrobes tainted by darkness. I drew from that the fact that Devon started out normal, good hearted and so on. Even his original form/ the form of the owner of the soul shards that Devon is made from looked like a normal Rydrake (dweller with striped marks c: also Rydrakes are water type spectrobes so the striped mark really fits) So... when his soul was darkened and it broke into shards which came back together as Devon he became darkened and so he fallows the dark spectrobe theme. However dark spectrobes still have good in them. So Devon has good in him as well. XD;;; Actually all his markings and such are well thought out for his background the descriptions of some markings even played a major roll in his creation. xD;; The dark version of a rydrake is a Zydrake You can actually see where the wing blade shine came from xD;;

For a little bit I thought that Devon was the only character with fan origins... but NOPE... I actually forgot about my Monster Hunter fan stuff XD;; Wow Silv you actually forgot about one of your fave all time games.

Kaiser is a Tigrex and the boy next to him is Espinas based on the monster Espinas... shocking name choice.

The Mekka of the name Jin is based zinogre. The lucain next to him is Narga and he is based on a Nargacuga.

This next lucain fallows up the one based on Nargacuga and is based on its green counterpart. His name is Ashu based on the romaji spelling of its Japanese name. Now my most recent addition to this fandom is a paragon based on Rukodiora.

Now out of that fandom and into another... I have one paragon based on something from the drakengard series.

This boy is based on a holy dragon from Drakengard 2. I really loved their color scheme in game. The animated cut scenes we really nice. So I found the concept and and color range and had it in my wish list for a while XD.

I think thats it for fan stuff unless you want to include fossils then I guess thats a fan thing :l;;

Middy, I've always wanted to steal your Black Butler characters xD That was the first anime I ever watched all the way through, and it remains one of my favorites.

Also, holy crap I didn't realize how many Death Note characters there are on Evelon I need to re-watch Death Note now, because I don't remember half of those characters -cries-

I personally always feel odd roleplaying a fan character because I'm terrified that I'll screw them up and that some other fan who knows more than me will get offended or think I'm stupid or something xD

And as soon as my customs come in, I'll have Alice (in both Paragon and Lucain form), Jeb and Morpheus from the Splintered book series. And I plan on getting a few other customs for other miscellaneous characters from the books.

Okay this guy is not SPECIFICALLY a fan character but KINDA'? BaalsBaby did a DnD thing that sounded really cool and I ended up making up a character based on this DnD world (not actually DnD but a table top RPing game) and I made this guy. I guess also based on like... Mafia-ness? Does that count? Ehn..

Raial and my lagiacrus! Raial is the name of my monster hunter, who wears Lagi armor and well the lagi is her prey of choice.

It's a delex! Technically she was a random so I didn't design her but... Delex!

I have a few TF2 characters aswell. TF2 being the video game. A few of us got really into it, I didn't but Baal was obsessed with the characters so we made fan characters and... well yeah.

This guy is Red, my RED Spy. He goes by Red since anyone knowing his real name could be dangerous for his family. Yeah he's living a life of lies! He's a bit of a romantic and the best spy on the RED team (at least in this outpost) but there's a BLU spy who seems to be very skilled as well...

This guy I didn't RP much but he's essentially a Medic on the RED team. A little bit eccentric but he doctors pretty quickly (also good mostly?) so he stays on the team.

Scot "Scout" Powell! He's my BLU scout who is really loud and abbrasive and basically does not deviate far from the in-game, Meet the Scout video of scouts. c: Buthe'sagaylittletwinkbabysothere'sthat.

This guy isn't from a "fandom", perse, but he's based off of a tradition done in Newfoundland. :3

This is Mummer, and he is a mummer. Around Christmas time people will dress up in old sheets and dresses and boots, hiding their faces (and hiding their body shape and even their walk in a myriad of ways) then the visit peoples houses, have dinner with them, dance, play games, and steal an ashtray if they can and return it later (stealing and returning done descreetly, since you'd usually mummer a person you know personally).

I have a character in the Secret World video game, and I am bringing her to Evelon. oDo

This is Sybil "Sychnis" and she swallowed a magic bee and works for The Dragon now. I dunno it's a strange concept but a fun multiplayer game so... c': Works out. You build your own character and make as much background for them as you want so not a truly "fan" character, but from a game.

Portal. 'Nough said.

I didn't make him, but I do know what he's based off of in looks and (likely, bahaha) in personality.
