I just got my four cuties in as well! They're adorable (although I'm too tired to actually tell - correctly - if they're based on things at the moment XD). However, my favorites are definitely the second and fourth ones - the second fella definitely looks like an African Wild Dog-inspired design to me, and just lookit those markings on that last guy! The first thing I actually thought of when I saw that one was a Verdure Yonyuu and regular Leawolf. I feel like there's a theme here and I'm missing it though, and it's killing me (Edit: Also looks kind of like it's based on a Nightmare Hound from GW2 as well, although I might just be seeing things). XD -so braindead atm- I think the third guy is based on a weasel? Whatever the case, I love them all! <3

But anywho! I also wanted to say that I LOVE the other Phyrettes in this thread as well, especially Middy's space-themed one, Sarah's 'undead' one, zap's Cody Phyrette (homg, those spots! <3), and of course, Calcifer. <3333 Amazing designs, Baal!

Hot dog, man. B) Got some lookers right here. Not sure what they're based on, if anything, but they're pretty neat if I do say so myself~ The first one looks like it's got a temple coloration. Second kiddo has some sick green flames, it's odd but in a good way! And I'm just sitting here trying to figure out what's in the third one's markings. It's a beauty~ XD

Baal, Moofie and I worked on these actually. So I can confirm what a few of these are based off because I made them. c: Night's one is based off a Flareon. And Flame's third one isn't based off anything in particular, I just kinda went for a dragon-y kinda angle c: And WELL I GUESS I GOT LUCKY WITH ZAPS. I just knew you liked icey things and deer things x'D

Most of the ones I did aren't based on anything (because I would not do them justice) just colour ideas and stuff I want to try or whatever, concepts I think people might like? So like, Zap's second one was just "I want to do stripes" so I did. c':

Stuff with more solid concepts, that have been shown in the thread is~ just Pickle's first one. The Phyrette says "Mjolnir" in old norse, specifically Younger Futhark, full branch style of rune and Younger Fulnark spelling so... It says Mjolnir on the side (if the phyrette was on their feet you could read it, type of thing) and then on the hip is "haski" which is destroy and "gera" which is build, just from some light research on Google so... take it with a grain of salt. The rune on the forehead is the symbol "Thurs" which means giant. *SHRUGS* If you want to use that information you can?

That aside, the flames. I'm dying they're so pretty. They're like so tropical and underwater and aquatic. I LOVE this kind of coloring with the blue/green/teal. A++ gorgeous

First thing that came to mind was nature. Forests. Greens. I would've thought Leafeon but no, Leafeon has a brown body... unless yeah, it's just pretty greenery? It doesn't wow me, but it's got a cute simple look to it.


Why do they all look based on things. Please help me i can't handle this. Or is it my paranoia that I can't figure it out when things are based on other things??

I just watch the customs you get and the characters you design from afar, I have known you forever (and for colours I consulted Ashrey) and just worked hard to make up something you'd like aesthetically. I am really really happy you like how it turned out. I struggled with the fire for awhile so doubly glad it got such a warm reception~

So yup, not based on anything besides what I thought you might like and like a super vague "fast/energetic" feel.

So, I have been waiting for Omni to post hers so I could say this...

There are TWO that I am so jealous of, that made me feel that I pretty much HAVE to find a way to get at least one Phyrette. (And, while jealousy is not exactly a pretty word, I would say it accurately describes my love and "Oh my gosh, I want so baaad," feelings. xD;;;) Those two would be Freezair's Calcifer, because Howl's Moving Castle is my FAVORITE ghibli film. And, of course, Omni's masked, toxic lovely~ I mean, I love masks and mask-like markings, and those colooooors, well, enough said.

I also love Middy's Lycanroc one, because that's one of my favorite Pokemon from the newest games, but I don't desire to steal it, just admire it's beauty from afar. All together, though, these are turning out AMAZING! When I first saw the species, I was like, "I like them, but I don't know what I'd do with one," but, well, proving me wrong. Great job, you guys! <3
