Have any of you ever tried to buy something from stores in a different country, or wanted to, but they wouldn't ship to your country?
I'm having a problem right now trying to buy some books; I've found these books that I've been looking for forever. They're by Elyne Mitchell, and they're ridiculous expensive here in the US, but because she's an Australian author, they're easier and cheaper to get in Australia. All of these books, the Silver Brumby series, are 10-15 apiece for some books, but ranging upwards of hundreds of dollars for others. Naturally, I don't want to spend that much. However, I found the three volumes with all the books collected into three big books for only 27.99 each, which I find reasonable. One problem; they won't ship to the U.S.
So, my question is, has anyone ever had this problem? And if so, how did you get around it? If I could send the books to someone in Australia or New Zealand, I could pay them to have them shipped here; I'm just not sure who to ask or how to do this. I'm super desperate for these books; I've wanted to read them for as long as I can remember, and I don't want eBooks, even if I could find them. Any help is greatly appreciated. (Especially if you happen to change upon them somewhere cheap and within the US). Anyone have any ideas or suggestions, or know something about it?
