In regards to themes I like: *hoards every celestial pet ever*
Also. I love glowing/bio-luminescent stuff with every fiber of my being.
The natural-looking pets are awesome as well. For instance: the Coastal Shartile and Bilby Rollaby. Very obvious what their inspirations were, and they look awesome. They're relatively simple, but it looks nice. I think most of the irl-animal-inspired themes look fantastic. I can't even think of any I don't like.
As weebish as it makes me sound, I'll always have a soft spot for Oriental-themed pets, especially ones based off or inspired by animal-demons and the like. The new Cursed Tali destroys me because it looks like a demon you'd see in a traditional Japanese tattoo or painting and I just <3
As for holiday pets: The super Christmassy pets don't really do it for me (I do adore the Noel colour scheme, though) mostly because I'm a giant humbug and anything Christmas-related outside of the week of Christmas makes me all bristly for some reason. oBo That said, they're all still adorable, but it's near impossible to pin characters to them. (They're still great for collectors who don't necessarily roleplay all of their characters, though.) Easter pets are fine, but some of the more obvious ones are difficult to pin characters to as well (the ones that look like Easter eggs, etc. Candy-themed pets are great because it's not really specific to a single holiday. Flower- and nature-themed Easter pets are great, too.) I love most Halloween pets because I've always been a goth piece of trash and I love me some Halloween pets. For some reason, though, anything candy-corn coloured puts me off a little. I guess the more "serious" Halloween pets are my favourite? Less centered on the holiday and more just... spooky, I guess. That stuff gets me.
^ Again, not bashing the Holiday pets at all, because some people love this sort of stuff and everyone deserves something that makes their little holiday kokoro go doki doki.
