I know lots of you like petsites, so I figured I could post here to tell you about a new one, in case you don't know about it yet. It's called FurVilla.

There's lots of different species (bunnies, bats, foxes, dragons, snakes...) and there's a job system to get items. You craft stuff yourself, including weapons, new houses for new pets, clothes (aka new colors) and so on. The part that reminds me of FR is that you can make custom skins for your pets and it only costs $1 to make one with as many edits as you want.

There's a breeding system for familiars, too, via one of the jobs. You can breed familiars you find in the wild for rare colors, but you must domesticate them first and all that.

Also there's a fighting system, but it's a lot like the one from Neopets. Fighting isn't all that easy as items have durability (you need a blacksmith to fix them) and potions can only be made by Alchemists... by mixing plants your Herbalists grow... who get the seeds from your Explorers. So either you buy all your items from other users or you have to make them yourself, needing lots of pets. Each pet can change jobs every two hours, though, but to get some production chain going you need a few pets.

The site is currenly in open beta, so there's laaaaag around the busy hours, but it's overall a lot of fun.

Each village has its own set of pets, plants, recipes (for everything - potions, weapons, clothes (aka colors), medicines...), illnesses your pets can catch and items. If you want stuff from another village, you will have to buy it from other users. Also you can change your village once.

I am in Quetzal Palace and I can tell you that the galactic, angelican and fairy colors are from my place.

Basically each village has its own set of stuff. The medicine I can make with the plants from my village is used to cure the illnesses I can catch in my village. I can buy seeds for other plants from other villages, but since they're used in medicines for illnesses I can't get, they're of no use for my doctor, for example.

The only thing that's used universally is wood. You can build houses with a mixture of all kinds of wood, if you so desire.

A few small hints: Use your initial money to get another pet slot. Focus solely on pet slots first to use all exploration turns every hour; you need that money and all the items. Then decide what you wanna focus on next; I decided to not make a warrior for now and instead focused on getting a herbalist and then a doctor so that I can cure illnesses better. Making medicine is very expensive plant- and moneywise and you start off with medicines having only 5% chance to cure the illness, sadly, with 5% added each time you make it again.

Once a day, you can visit the clinic in your town to cure one pet for free. That's super-useful as the illnesses are crippling. Thankfully, the rate you catch one was lowered by 50% today, so hopefully you guys will struggle less than I did.

Also yes, the commonplace-ness of sickness was brought to the mods' attention and they'll likely fix it soon. For now I would just ignore it! Your villagers won't die.

For your first two villagers I highly recommend an Explorer and either an Herbalist or a Construction Worker. Actually definitely the latter; you'll find a lot of wood and Botany Pots can go for 300 FC a pop!

Also important: DON'T MAKE YOUR PET A WARRIOR! Quetzal Palace in particular has too many and our warrior quotient thing (number of warriors : number of battles won) is in the negative.

Meh, I dunno. Even 50% sickness is high. Most people aren't sick 50% of the time unless something's wrong. So that just seems ridiculous to me. I'm gonna leave my account unaligned for now and see what other people have to say about actual gameplay. I'm zeinjave over there.

No, I mean that you're 50% less likely to catch a sickness. My one explorer has still not caught an illness and he was the one created after the update. And explorers are the ones who will catch illnesses the most.

Ooh well that changes things. Lmao I was looking at the Quetzal palace but if that's the most popular place, does that mean the resources from other areas would be harder to obtain/sell for more?

With illnesses harder to catch, medicine also isn't in such high demand anymore, especially with more and more people mastering them, so healing comes pretty cheap by now, too. Things are definitely improving!

Lmao yeah most people seem to be in Quetzal palace. I am not super-sure about resources; I bought some "foreign" seeds for my Herbalist and they were cheap, though they were the common ones, admittedly. The only exclusive things one would want to buy for sure are costumes and familiars and I don't think anyone has a costume yet, so no information there. Familiars are also a pain; after finally getting one you need to domesticate them successfully ten times before you can sell them and that seems to be a 50%/50% chance and takes 10 minutes (20 if your pet has an illness) every try. At the moment, market prediction is still absolutely impossible.

zap is right; right now Construction Workers make big bucks since not many people have hit the villager cap of 10 yet. Wood however isn't limited; you can use every type of wood you want for your stuff, meaning that wood prices are pretty even.

I can say, though, that I actually bought a house to get my villagers full quickly for low ID reasons. Houses must match your location to be used. Quetzal Palace houses actually cost more than the ones from the other villages when I bought mine because well, more people want them.

I've friended everyone whose posted their ID here, but I'm Kreepydile on there as well if you want an add! I'm also in Tigereye Peak, because I'm a sucker for snowy wintery places. I... thiiiink I have the basic concepts down but yeah, the illnesses don't... seem too oppressive right now xD;

I really love the art style and the villager concept though, it's super cute.
