I've been busy like you wouldn't believe all December. Not just doing Evelon things. For the first time, I actually traveled far distances to see family at Christmas, and since I was spending it with my boyfriend, we also traveled to see several members of his family as well. It was BONKERS. But now that we've been home for a while, and I've relaxed a bit and the SS is over, it's time for me to publicly acknowledge the wonderful gifts I've been given!
I know I already showed off this girl, but I sort of wanted this to be my gifting masterpost, so here it goes. It hit me shortly after I got her that durr, I've actually wanted a candy corn-ish Lucain for a while to be the Lucain form of my Candy Corn Kuhna. So... she is now a he. A he whose Lucain form just happens to be biologically female due to MAD SCIENCE.
Mah boy Dinni here was my Wish-a-thon present. As y'all may or may not know, I really like monster-themed RPGs--Pokemon and Digimon and Monster Rancher, of course, but I also love a lot of weird little oneshot games and series. Dinni here is based off a monster called Sculking from a DS game called Monster Racers. It's actually super excellent. I have a crazy plot in mind where I'll have all these customs based off different monster games and they'll all turned out to have been dragged to Evelon to compete in some uber-tournament... thing. Heh.
Jobie was a sweetie and sent me an Achromatic Taigra! I don't know if I dare admit what plot I'm thinking of using THIS guy for. All I'll say is that I maaaaay have a soft spot for a recent show for preschoolers that may or may not be based on a twenty-year-old animated movie about African wildlife. And I maaay use it for inspiration.
Thunderbirb sent me a box. Yup. A plain white box.
Actually, I am CRAZY stoked for all these Seasonal Specialties pets these year, because the theme is AMAZING. I confess I'm not actually at all sure what painting inspired this box! But that's what makes this one actually pretty exciting for me.
Jedi, I don't even. How? How did you manage to giftbomb everyone so awesomely? The PM that came with these two was cute, but what I loved the most was seeing the reasoning for these choices. First off, the first girl was an EXCELLENT choice. I've loved her from afar from a good while. But he said he sent me the second one because she reminded him of a silver vein and thought I'd like that, which I thought was SUPER sweet. I'm pretty much chucking all the Ambias I get into my nature fairy plot, but I'm thinking I'll make Silver here the first non-Ambia inclusion and make her the fairy of silver. =3
Millie sent me a box, and that box opened into this guy! He's from a breeding Millie and I did a while back, and LITERALLY EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM TURNED OUT AMAZING. I loved this sparkledog-y dastard, and it's awesome to have him and fawn over him and bask in his eyesearing colors. Sooo. Pretty. I think I'll actually make him the actual factual brother of my glorious pineapple fashiondog. Maybe he can be the TOTALLY XTREME 90's guy to her mid-century kitsch. XD
Oh, and I don't have the code for it yet, but the Staff decided to surprise me by appointing themselves my collective Secret Santa. They gave me my choice of Birthstone Stargoyle, and I went with
Amethyst because amethyst stones are special to me. I associate them with my grandmother; when I was little, she took me to the massive gem and mineral convention in my hometown and bought me a huge chunk of amethyst.
