Would you prefer a basic Inventory System now or a better developed one later?

HEY. So, over the last couple of days, I've built a bit of a bare-bones Inventory System to replace the traditional manually recorded records we have. 'What does that even mean Redd?', well, let me show you.

There's also a place where you can add basic pets to your account, if you wanted to keep track of those too.
Like I said, it's bare bones. You can give your pet a name, use it as a place to keep track of their level (or not), have the code readily accessible and trade pets to other users, or in the case of free pets, remove them.

In it's current state, it's actually 99% ready to roll out. It's live, it works, there's no bugs (that I am aware of). All it needs is for me to make the link public and add your pets into the records. However, this is where the poll comes in. I could potentially delay this feature to give it added functionality (Retired Pet handling, a sort function, an image preview for pets, integration into the adoption site to adopt straight from the pet's page, etc there's a lot I could do). However doing so would mean I'd have to put this aside to focus on some other things first because the only reason why I haven't included these features is because I've been finding them to be a bit of a complicated hassle.
The other option is, I release it now, in it's current state and tinker away at it in my free time. It won't be released like... this weekend or anything, I have to find an elegant way to add thousands of records in aha but it will be soon.
It's up to y'all, I don't mind either way. If you have suggestions, I may not be able to do it but I'm open to hearing them!

This looks really freaking cool! I’d rather wait longer for a more in-depth ready launch because all those extra functions are dope AF~ Which I voted for but I also wanted to express how absolutely really amazing I think this is!

I'll repeat what I said in the discord but t will probably take me until after the war (maybe the new year) to release the proper version of the inventory if y'all want the developed version. With the war, halloween and then christmas, coming up, it's sorta entering the busy stretch.

Also I did want to say that those extra functions will happen if the basic option is chosen, it'll just be sorta trickled in here and there as I have time for it c:

I agree with Sarah, I'd rather wait for the beefed up version. c: And I'm fine with it coming in 2020, since, as you said, the holiday seasons are upon us. But I'm also voting to wait so it doesn't stress you out, having something half finished waiting for you. If I'm wrong and it'd be less stressful to release what you have now and tinker away at it, I'd be okay with that too. Whichever is easier for you. <3

Honestly, with Christmas being a thing, releasing the basic version first might be a bit less stressful on the team as a whole but dksjhdfkljs yeah

Very good point! I would also prefer to see a basic version first, since I think we can get a better understanding of what features we'd like to see. I feel like stressing about getting it perfect for release might put more pressure on you than is worth it. :3

I agree with Silver! I think a public release would be better for a number of reasons:

1. More eyes on it will make it easier to stress test and find bugs

2. We'll be able to provide better feedback

3. You won't have to worry about perfecting it while all the holiday activities are going on!

Ah these are all excellent points, I really appreciate the input!
With these points in mind, I'll look to release it asap, I've just gotta set up a few mod tools and go over everything with a fine-toothed comb to make sure it's secure!
