I haven't learned anything really new today, but here's what I've got.

1. If a person in a roleplay takes a main character and only writes a one sentence roleplay, make sure to consult them before the roleplay gets into action. (Issues on a big roleplay I started on Gaia.)
2. Having two simple elective classes at the end of the school day makes it easier when you have to go home early.
3. The Salem Witch Trials was started by a servant lady and a group of young girls.

Today I learned that I accidentally bought the wrong ink cartridge for my printer. I misread a "1" as a "7." >< Luckily, the ones I actually needed were pretty cheap.

Let's see, today I learned:

1. Never volunteer to transcribe music for a fellow band member unless you don't want to feel your hands.
2. How do identify which chemical is being used in a neon light by its color
3. Never, EVER, on pain of death, tell people that you brought what they call "crack cookies" to school. They will vanish when you least expect it...

Yeah. Today wasn't an academic class day for Fire. Orchestra, Chemistry, Free period, Wind Ensemble. ^^ My favorite classes.

Heehee. I didn't learn it today, but a few days ago--that apparently drug-laced brownies originated with the writer Gertrude Stein and her partner. English classes and wonderful places, eh?

Learned that it can rain for a week and a half in Florida and it can still be under the average amount of rainfall for this month.

And that I can take a 60 question business exam in 15 minutes. @__@

Last night I learned very quickly how to drive at night, in sunglasses, through blinding rain. I almost died first, though. D:

Today I learned that someone on the Internet doesn't know the difference between a made-up word and a loanword.

In my Linguistics class today, we were talking about how languages get new words. One process he talked about was inventing new words, and he showed us a graphic he'd gotten from someplace with "invented" words on it on drawings of fish. It had terms like "mobisode" (which he used incorrectly

), "carbage" and things like that, but it also had the words "sudoku" and "kawaii" on it, which are not made-up words but loanwords. The funny thing is, the next slide us in his PowerPoint lecture was about loanwords or borrowed words.

Edit: Ooooh! I just learned how to play a fun game, too! "Six Degrees of Wikipedia." The idea is to try and get from one Wikipedia article to another in six clicks or less. I got from "Mole" to "Arpeggio." Heh.

Waking up at 5am still dosn't give me as much energy as staying up all night... (I have a weird sleeping pattern, that every one thinks is bad for me, but if I don't use it, I'm tired and grumpy ect...)
My little brother gets reallly sad if I don't spend time with him..

And alot more that I can't think of right now.
Wait! all of the elementry kids at school, think my 6th grade bro is the coolest person in the school! (its so funny, they love him!)

Today in U.S History....

Benjamin Franklin was only married for 10 years, with his wife in the U.S. for one of those years, while 'chasing around' younger women in England much of the other time.

Andrew Jackson, our seventh president, was the first president to go through an assassination attempt. Yet both of the guns (at pointblank) backed up and didn't fire despite being in perfect condition. A 1 in like 14000 chance or something like that. Probably greater, but I was kinda reading when my teacher was telling this to us... heh heh.

He was also the first president to openly invite 'the people' to his after election party. Which was so crazy that he escaped through a window to spend the rest of the night at a tavern. People were shouting, falling, fighting. They were basically a can of sardine packed fighting fish. XD Oh yes, and the only way anyone could get out was through a window.

A few days ago I learned that macines are learning AI by them selves. A friends CD player was broken, and kept going to random songs, so he told it "I'm going to kill you!" so it flipped to the song 'you can't touch this' or something, then it flipped to 'headstrong'. It was pretty funny... XD

I learned that as much as my little siblings don't enjoy the computer, we still have tussles over the mouse. X3
