Welcome to Tesora Labs, a research center intent on studying and developing new species of animal. The lab was founded when a group of explorers got lost on an expedition and ended up on a mysterious uncharted island. On this island they found (among other things) several new exotic creatures and life forms. Intrigued, they explored the island and took back as many samples of these critters as they could find. Several of the explorers then began a laboratory to research these animals and make sure they were safe before releasing them among the public. This lab was named Tesora in honour of the marvelous treasure found on the island
Please Read!
I'm kinda busy, but I will try to hatch eggs approximately every week. New species eggs will probably take about two weeks, depending on how complicated their design is. Please post if you adopt so this topic doesn't vanish, and so I'm motivated to create more critters
This is where eggs are stored before they hatch. Feel free to take any you like (no more than three of each)
These curious things were found near a boiling river that ran straight through the center of the island. They are bright, primary colours and a strange eye-like marking. They're actually slightly intimidating...They start to hiss if exposed to cold temperatures

001-Dracoon
Clever and crafty, Dracoon are fairly friendly creatures. They follow humans around for only one purpose-treasure. The Dracoon crave treasure, but since they are rather lazy they prefer to trade or steal it rather than earn their own. They don't get along with other animals but oddly enough don't seem to mind cats.
Dracoon are very well built for survival, reporting to survive in over 20 different climates. They do have a particular fondness for warm places however, and prefer these overall. They have the general bodies of reptiles but their long tail is mammal in origin. Unable to speak English they communicate through reptilian shrieks and hisses
Twilight-These Dracoons are by far the cleverest, although not many people realize this due to the fact they are extremely featherbrained and often daydream. They have a great obsession with the stars and surprisingly, despite their lack of memory, they can memorize a large amount of names of stars
Flamelicker-Mischievous tricksters, Flamelicker Dracoons crave laughter and jokery. They repeatedly play jokes on their owners and those around them, although most of these jokes are pretty harmless. They adore heat and show much less of an interest in treasure than their relatives
Jungle-These Dracoon are quite secretive and seem to speak another language entirely. They are quite rare since they hide from humans, so I'd grab one soon before they retire!
Sour-These Dracoon followed in the steps of the Chocolate variety, and developed a sweet, fruity smell to attract their prey. They took it one step further though. They live in tropical places with bright flowers, and they hunt by sitting among these bright flowers. Blending in, they wait until some poor Geebit or other creature smells their food scent, and tries to eat them. Their skin has small poisonous bumps all over it, so any critter that licks them dies almost instantly. The younger the Dracoon, the less poisonous it is. Babies are rarely fatal.
This is also the first species to be colour-coded depending on gender. The pink ones are female, while the blue ones are male. No exceptions to this rule have been found...yet
Chocolate-Before you start to eat them, these creatures are not actually made out of chocolate. They have simply developed the smell of chocolate in order to lure their prey towards them. Then they strike! Quite vicious actually, as far as Dracoons go

Chocolate:
002-Bunble (Named by GrayGriffin
These cute little critters are quite common and a favourite among pet owners. Being irresistibly cute and only the slightly bigger than a tennis ball they make good pets despite their lack of speech.
For unknown reasons they are never seen without their bubble and it would seem that this bubble is indestructible. Numerous lab tests have failed to show what would happen if this bubble eventually did pop so in the meantime it is advised to avoid letting your Bunble get into danger
No one quite knows how they are created since they don't reproduce, but they can be found floating above fields, lakes, mountains...pretty much everywhere. They don't like the cold however, nor the heat. I wonder why that is?
Soap-This is the only kind that scientists are certain about it's origin. These little fellows are created from soapy water whenever a bubble floats away. Always immaculately clean and if you touch it's bubble suds come off on your fingers!
Fairy-Aww, isn't it adorable! Researchers believe that these are responsible for fairy tales. People saw them floating past and because they saw only a fleeting glance they presumed they were little people. The sweetest kind, always giggling and laughing...
Gold-Rumour has it these things will make you rich. Could just be a rumour of course, but you never know. They do have an attraction to shiny things after all. Apart from that they don't appear to differ from the Soap kind
Grey-This poor little things seemed to have had all the happiness sucked out of them! The lab has ordered that all these miserable things be returned to the lab for further research so they are now retired unfortunately. Hopefully you grabbed one while you could!
Rainbow-I wonder what the origin of these is? Only about ten are made every time there's a rainbow so these are extremely rare. They are formed from the mixture of rain and sunshine, but be warned! If water touches this Bunble then it is said to disappear! Better be careful
Candy-Apparently these are edible, although I wouldn't recommend trying it. Quite mediocre, not as cheery as Fairies nor as clean as Soap

003-Sweep
Wow, these are weird little creatures. At a first glance they might seem like an old stuffed toy, or a sock puppet. However, these plushies are very much alive! With buttons for eyes, old socks for ears and a sewed-on mouth, they don't require much care. If they get dirty (which is rarely) it seems perfectly safe to just toss them in the washing machine. Sweeps don't appear to eat, nor do much else apart from look at you. Some consider them creepy, others like how huggable they are.
It is not sure what well-known animal they resemble most. Their ears and faces appear quite puppy-like, but their bodies and long tails suggest feline heritage. Their habitats don't give much away-they only live where there is people though, and (presumably) socks. You can guess that these critters are quite common then, and more are being discovered as research progresses.
When they reach adult form, they are just slightly bigger than a cat. They still act like a mix between cats and dogs, moving around like cats but having the playfulness of puppies. They are fond of watching Chims swimming round and round, and some may even try and swipe at them. However, since they have no claws there's nothing to worry about
Fruit Salad-So named because of their resemblance to the sweets. Apart from that, nothing to do with fruit or salads
Chili-No different from any other species apart from colour. Named because 'chili' can mean cold (the ice-blue part of their colouration) or it can be a kind of pepper, which is boiling hot (the red part of their colouring)
Sweatsock-Poo, what's that stench? The person who those socks belonged to must have very smelly feet...
Snuggle-Aww, this breed is much nicer than the poor Sweatsocks. They have incredibly soft skins, and they always smell gorgeous!

004-Chim
Aww, look what pretty tails these creatures have! They seemed to have calmed down since they were in egg form, at least for now. They're quite sweetly shy fishies really. That dorsal fin on their backs looks rather violent though. Who knows what they might evolve into?
In their first form, they are just slightly bigger than a goldfish so you can keep them in a fish tank. They seem to prefer salt water to fresh, and they love having plenty of plants in their tanks. I don't think there's any danger to keeping them with other fish, although they don't seem too happy about it.
In their second form, Chims are a lot more fierce and shark-like. They are mostly predatory now, although the Royal variety is definitely the calmest. They are about the size of a pig now, so a large tank is needed for them to be kept happy. Also, I wouldn't recommend keeping them in with other fish. Just look at those teeth...
Royal-The showiest of Chims, these love to be gawped at. Fond of anything bright and colourful, although other prettier fish might not be well received by them. Royal's are less food-orientated than the other breeds. They still crave the limelight and prefer to focus on this over food
Deep-These fish prefer darker tanks, so putting them in a bright bit of sunshine is not a good idea. They often 'lurk' round their tanks, hiding in pieces of seaweed and such. As they grow older and gain more experience, it gets harder and harder to spot them. Make sure you keep an eye on yours, or else it might slip away
Sandstorm-Huh, where did these go? We'd still be handing them out, if we could see them. It seems they blend perfectly into the sand, masters of stealth. The fiercest of all breeds, and most deadly. It's stealth and cunning make it the ideal killer

005-*Name*
This canine-like species is a tough one to keep. They are thought to be demons which have escaped from an unknown realm, based on their general appearance and attitude. They live and hunt in packs, feeding off 'nightmares' or, more generally, human fear. For this reason, they deliberately torment and haunt humans so they generate food for them.
The first time you see a -Name- it can be hard to believe that they actually exist. They seem to be made literally out of shadows, although if you reach out your hand to touch one (why would you?) you can feel a very rough kind of wiry fur.
Despite their initial hostility, this species doesn't really mind being 'kept' by a human. Since they need humans to survive, living around one is actually very practical for them. They won't attack you, but they will definitely try to frighten you a lot
Shadow-The typical species, and most common
Ghost-An extremely rare variety, mainly because people don't seem to realize they're there. They seem to be weaker than basic -Names-, and if you watch them carefully they seem to flicker out of existence for time to time. They come back though...usually

006-Evrenian
These beautiful and mysterious creatures are highly sought out by collectors. They seem to be a hybrid of reptiles and birds, closely related to both. No one is certain where they come from, but all existing eggs have been found on or near the beach. Their name is a mix of a word for dragon, and 'avian'.
As babies, they have a sweet but nervous nature. They are reluctant to trust people, but once you have earned that trust they will stay with you for life. They hate loud noises and sleep quite a lot, so need calm and peaceful homes. Evrenians don't require much care and are fairly independent. Of course, they appreciate any cuddles you might wish to give them
Unable to fly yet, it is worth noting that it's best to keep these away from high ledges. They often try to fly, and it can be pretty dangerous since their wings haven't developed yet. Their diet should be mainly carnivorous, with the occasional wheat and fruit thrown in. Nuts can be used as a treat too.
Their skin is an odd mixture of scales and feathers. Mostly scaled, their tails, wings and bellies have small feathers coating them. Their skin always feels hot, even in the middle of the night. Because of this it is rumoured they have the ability to breathe fire, although there has been no evidence anywhere of this happening
Dawn-These beauties are only ever found awake in the mornings and early afternoon. They prefer cool, sunny spots and the sweeter-tasting meats/fruits
Dusk-Like Dawn, this variety is only ever found late afternoon to early evening. They dislike heat enormously, and reject eating most kinds of fruit. They do however eat plums and grapes, if so inclined. Quite a dreamy lot too, and the latest to start flying
Seaspray-These often give the illusion of flying by surfing lightly across the surface of the waves. They eat no meat, instead living purely on fish. Supposedly even their skin smells like salt, probably linked to how much time they spend on the shore. They have the fewest feathers, and the largest developed wings which allow them to skirt across the water. Oddly enough though, they don't use them often for flying

007-Geebbit {Gee-bit}
Look how weird this creature is-like a combination of a rabbit, a goose and a sheep! It's a farmer's dream come true. Look how perfect it is to harvest-you get eggs and wool from the same creature. I've heard their meat tastes terrific too, but you wouldn't be so cruel as to kill one would you?
Rather skittish creatures, Geebits prefer to live in quiet or restful places. They love water, although hatchlings can't swim until they are three weeks old, so it's not a good idea to let young ones play near water. Adult Geebits have beautiful wooly coats, and for this reason they are often used in shows, especially the Lavender variety. In order to take proper care of your Geebit you must brush their wool every day to keep it clean and tidy
Feather-The shyest of all Geebits, these are very hard to keep clean. They are most popular for their wool, since it is a silvery white and easiest to dye when making clothes. Fairly common, but still quite pretty no?
Lavender-As mentioned before, this type is often used in shows. Their wool is thicker than other kinds, and hard to dye, so you don't see them often on farms. The majority of Lavenders are kept as pets, not for farming
Golden-What lovely wool! Everything about these creatures seems to shimmer. Unfortunately they're quite rare. Given their resemblance to treasure, the Golden variety just happens to be a Dracoon's favourite food. That, combined with their high demand means there aren't many of them available. Grab one while you can!

008-*Name*
These creatures are just as eager in egg form as they are once hatched! Lovely, friendly, dependable pets, they like nothing more than cuddles and love from humans. Unfortunately, there is one down side. As you can see, they have long, colourful tongues which work in rather the same way as a frog's tongue. Like your average pet dog, they enjoy licking you affectionately with this tongue. Which results in you, covered with saliva. Not the best look.
As puppies, their wings are still not developed enough to carry their weight. They still try to fly however, possibly resulting in a couple accidents. It seems that their wings flap the most when they are happy, much like a wagging tail.
To look after them, simply treat them as one would a normal dog. The only difference is diet-while a few meat products can be used as treats, they mainly live off insects that they catch themselves with their long tongues. Any additional food may result in weight gain and (when older) loss of ability to fly
Unlike most species, there doesn't seem to be much behavior variation between breeds
