"Hello and welcome... I am quite glad you stumbled upon my little abode." A low sinister voice called out. A man, some six feet tall, clad in deep greys and whites with dashes of red, strode out of the house. In one hand, a paintbrush, in the other a pallet. His eyes were black and empty, with no emotion at all.
"My name is Dar'rid Marsa. Perhaps you have heard of me? I am a painter. Some say, my paintings are so real... they are alive." Here, he chucked, somewhat coldly, pulling a painting out of the house. It was a forest scene, delicately painted, each leaf exquisitely painted in, rustling in the wind. Above, strange bird's soared. "In fact it is true. But for some reason, within this particular portrait. These... birds have invaded and are ruining the quality of the picture. I can get you one of these birds, if you pay me a price and I can render it to any color you want."
At this point one of the strange birds, only about the size of a swallow, yet scowling dangerously, fluttered out of the house and landed on his shoulder.
"This one is mine, for I have taken a liking to him. I have named the species Skar'ak, don't ask why, It just came to me. Also, I can't change markings in anyway. It's quite bizarre to me, that's why I am hoping you can take them away."

And so far, there is no differences with genders." Dar'rid said. "I should tell you about these birds though, right? They are quite aggressive for their size. But, if they understand you are their caretaker, they will not harm you, and they do become quite loyal and attached.
