You don't quite know what drew you to this shop. The air is stale, the roof is leaking, and the walls are lined with symbols and letters from what looks like it could be another language. On the west wall lies what looks like a mathematical equation.
And on the East wall lies a peculiar circle.
You start wandering the cramped makeshift isles, constructed from book selves and stacks of books. Among the shelves you see jars with unidentifiable substances in them, cages of... birds? and book upon book with the same strange circle on it.
"Can I help you?"
From behind a bookshelf overflowing with books and loose papers, a figure emerges. "Are you here to pick up your Chimera?"
Seeing the puzzled look on your face, the girl continues, "As you don't know who I am, let me introduce myself. I am the Palladium Alchemist, and a Chimera is an creature with spliced genes from one or more donors. Would you care to see one?"
At your nod, the girl strides to the back of the shop, and then looks over her shoulder. "Well come on!" she says impatiently, and as soon as you catch up, she opens a cage.
From the cage emerges a creature you've never seen before. With the body of a dog (or wolf?!) and the wings of three different birds, you understand immediately what "one or more donors" entails.
"I have, currently, made two combinations. I can produce one in any conceivable color, as I have a vast knowledge of genomes," she paused, probably for dramatic effect, "If you care to purchase one of my pre-made creations, I currently have no asking price. The best offer wins, I suppose. As for breeding, as far as I know, Chimeras are sterile, but who knows? There has been little study on Chimeras...."
She opens the other cages, "Here are all my creations as of now, feel free to make an offer an any of them."
