It was just as well that he and Grim had agreed to split today's duties. The kuhna festival was quite frankly, overwhelming, and to try and see everything it had to offer was a near-impossible task. Especially if one were on a rather tight schedule. If Chester was going to be back in time to cook for some of Thomas's literary friends, he couldn't spend very long here at all. The monochrome figure did the maths in his head and frowned beneath his mask. Always too much to do. He walked up to the stall ran by the red-headed woman and inclined his head politely, although the gesture had probably gone unnoticed. "One raffle ticket, please." With any luck Grim would actually turn out to be reliable for once and they could both make their way back home.

Although she had fled the ancient booth at the first opportunity after signing up, it had taken Rainbow a little time to find the fourth booth which was set away from the others. She arrived just as Vinyl walked up. Her friend had taken a moment to look around before taking off from the original booth and so had known where to go. However, there were still a good number of people milling about, so she arrived not long after Rainbow.

"Man, that was a bit more than I expected." Rainbow shook her head, remembering the chatter box back at the previous booth.
"Tell me about it. But at least we're almost done and can get back to our walk."
"Oh don't get me wrong," Rainbow assured her friend with a grin, "I can put up with the most hyper ponies around- even if they're not ponies!"
"I suppose you can, with Pinkie around all the time." Vinyl smiled, remembering their more hyper friend who was more liable to burst out into song, a crazy dance, or just scream in her excitement at any given moment.

It was soon their turn at the booth, and they both declined all the extra stuff the woman who ran this booth tried to sell them. They took the ticket and pamphlet, thanked the woman, and quickly galloped out of the contest central. "Well, that was fun. I guess all there is to do now is sit around and wait." Rainbow laid back with her fore hooves behind her head, one hind leg propped upon the other. "It says it ends on April 2, Rainbow. That's three days from now. Surely we can go home now?" "Oh!" Rainbow laughed sheepishly, "Sorry, I guess I missed that. Yeah, let's go home. We'll surely hear from someone if we won, right?" "Right."

This was the last one, then he could go home. All he had to do was get what he needed here then he could get back to his comfy bed and lie down.
"Uh, excuse me." He said, making his way through the crowd. "I'd also like on of those tickets."
He looked around, so many people. He didn't understand why everyone was making such a fuss of all of this. But whatever, he just wanted to be done.

Priscilla had been forced into coming to the booth for the fourth raffle. Well, not forced but definitely coerced. She had been promised she could make a trip to the Black Market after she was done. She just hoped it wouldn't take to long. The tall woman in dark red robes with gold embroidery got into the line as fast as she could. But the line was still long. By the time she reached the booth her golden eyes simmered with impatience. "Greetings, I need to enter your raffle," she spat out with a smile that looked more like a grimace. Then she swept away, her black her swishing behind her as she made her way to a darker side of town.

And I was runnin' far away
Would I run off the world someday?
Nobody knows
Nobody knows, and
I was dancing in the rain
I felt alive and I can't complain

Kumo skulked through the crowd, scowling at anyone who tried to talk to him. He wanted to leave. Heck, he didn't want to be there in the first place. Satou had dragged him off, apparently having asked Friday for 'sibling bonding time'. Just because he had been convinced by the girl to leave his room, which he now had to for the sake of their son, didn't mean he liked being hauled off to gods knows where. But before she skipped off to distract his mate's irritable mother, Satou made him promise to get the last raffle ticket for her. With a sigh, he walked up to the booth. He did his best to ignore the woman's obvious prods to get him to buy something (why would he?), he found his hands full with souvenirs. Maybe Friday and Monday would like this stuff. Maybe not a total loss, anyway. Regardless, he looked back up at the woman and glared at her, holding his hand out for his ticket impatiently. Once it was in his hand, he looked down at it, then back up again.
"Really, it's my sister who's entering your raffle, but I'll give it to her."
With that, he vanished into the crowd, the back of his head visible over most of the people.
You can pretend that when you hear my voice, darling, it's your choice not to fall in.

But it's all an act, 'cause I know exactly what you're wanting. You know it's what I'm wanting

Boy I know what you desire, oh, you're such a bad, bad liar

This could be perfection, or venom dripping in your mouth

Singing like a Siren, love me while your wrists are bound

Chumani had sent Enigma and Kai to the other two raffles and didn’t have anyone else to come to this one, so she decide that she should come. The Harimau thought it would be interest to see the results when this event was over. She wasn’t the type to come to large events but it didn’t hurt either. She really didn’t have much to do since she was off rotation. The one thing that she hated the most was to do nothing and coming to this event gave something to do. Even though she had to wait for the results, she didn’t mind it much. Chumani maneuver around a couple of people to get to the front. Once she got to the front, she spoke to the person who was handing out the tickets. “Hello, I would like a ticket for this raffle, please.” She looked at the ticket that she was handed and wait for the results.

It was a bright and beautiful day, with the temperature rising for once to a comfortable 68 degrees. It was enough to cause people to remove the light jackets they had been wearing and take frequent sips of whatever beverage they had purchased from nearby stands. There was no cloud in the sky, and therefore no logical explanation for the shadow that passed before the sun for such a brief time that it might have been imagined. It was coupled with a cold chill that swept across the skin of the people standing nearest the Mysterious Kuhna booth. And then the shadow and the chill were gone, and things were back to normal.

But wait, had that young man been standing there a moment before? "One entry ticket," he whispered, his voice seeming to raise another chill in those close enough to hear it. And for a moment, his eyes burned red.
Feed me chicky nuggies and chokky milk.

She didn't think it would be possible, but Elektra had actually managed to get herself to the breeding center in time to snag a key.  Problem was, she didn't have to many Kuhna's in her family that she knew of who would be interested in the idea of a room, so when she heard that there was some sort of raffle, she was more than happy to try her luck.

Once it was her turn among the crowd of people, she stepped up and flashed a quick smile at the Fenling before asking for a ticket.  "No harm in trying, eh?" she asked, chuckling as she filled out her information.  "I'll probably make it back in time to hear the results, but if not, you've got everything you'd need to find me right here."  She was about to walk back into the crowd before she turned around for one last word.  "Thank you, by the way, for this amazing opportunity.  I'm sure all the winners will be more than pleased with these mystery prizes."

If you knew knew what the bluebirds sang at you
You would never sing along
Cast them out cause this is our culture
These new flocks are nothing but vultures

Because they took our love and they filled it up
Filled it up with Novocaine and now Im just numb
And don't mind me, Im just a son of a gun
So dont stop, dont stop until your heart goes numb
I dont feel a thing for you

Marrow knew he couldn't resist. Surely these Mystery Generation Kuhna's were worth quite a bit on the black market. And, as an added bonus, it was free to enter the raffle. No entrance fee or anything, which meant if he lost, he'd've had nothing to lose. He slid his with through the crowd and up to the table. In his gruff voice, he requested "One ticket. and step on it." A couple of seconds later, his request had been met. "Excelent. I'll be back for my prize," he said, assuming he'd win.

"Did you hear what she said, Sivvy? It's a mysterious raffle of mystery. We have no idea what we're going to get!" The girl's tone implied that this was a good thing. Sivain wasn't so sure.

That's the problem, he pointed out. We have no way to know that we won't end up with something dangerous. Kit immediately made a face. Sivain could already feel the headache coming on. It was reasonable that she was excited about the festival, for they had all been cooped up at the estate for too long, but this...

"You're such a killjoy, Sivain." She sighed. Glumly. As if the world was ending just because he didn't want to let her enter one little contest...

Fine. Fine. But if this goes badly, you have to deal with it, he grumped. He didn't kid himself; if something did go awry, he had no doubts that he would be the one left cleaning up after the resultant mess, but then when had he ever been able to say no? She beamed at him.

"We'll take a ticket please!"

"Are you SURE our old friends are hanging out here?"

"Sure I'm sure! They wouldn't be hanging out in a closet!"

The trio of Kuhnas made their way down to the place where the Raffle was being held. Even in spring, Mary, Shelly, and Fredrick couldn't help but look Halloweeny--when they were a Haunted Kuhna, a Nightwalker Kuhna, and a Candycorn Kuhna, they didn't have many choices. Though they normally spoke together with a lot of good cheer, there was an oddly determined look in their faces today. It seemed that they suspected one of the Generation Kuhnas, hiding out as raffle prizes, to be one of their old friends--someone they'd met long ago, and hadn't seen since. Even if they were, there'd be no guarantee they'd go home with the trio--the group might win a different friend, or win nothing at all. But they seemed determined to try, at least. And how would they ever know if they didn't try?

"One ticket for the raffle, please!" Fredrick said. "And thank you, ever so kindly!"

I'm so cool (too bad I'm a loser).
I'm so smart (too bad I can't get anything figured out)!
I'm so brave (too bad I'm a baby).
I'm so fly
That's probably why it feels just like I'm falling for the first time!

I'm so green (it's really amazing).
I'm so clean (too bad I can't get all the dirt off of me)!
I'm so sane (It's driving me crazy)!
It's so strange
I can't believe I'm falling for the first time!

This one was a bit of an odd one... Unlike the previous booth where he'd managed to get his ear talked off by that one boy, managing to waste time in the process, this one was not his fault! Finally locating this one made Malique feel grateful, but also a tad annoyed. He could only hope that this one would be quicker, especially considering he could see there wasn't too many people, compared to before. *Due to it not being so easy to find, most likely...* Expecting it to be more normal, he moved along to get that ticket. Glad that this line moved a little more smoothly, and seemingly took less of his precious time. Finally reaching the redhead, his eyes quickly became overwhelmed with the sheer amount of stuff that was presented on the table. *What is all this?* Just looking at all of it left him more puzzled than intrigued. And again, he was getting stuff that he didn't even want in the first place. Before he could allow the woman to yap any further, not wanting to get roped into doing anything, he raised a paw to motion for her silence. "I'm not interested in buying anything today, unfortunately. I just came here for a raffle ticket." He told her calmly, getting a feeling right after he finally got what he wanted, that she probably wasn't pleased. For a minute, Malique hung around a little longer, taking one last look at what she had to offer. Before finally rolling his eyes. "Oh, alright. What about this then?"

Finally managing to get away from that woman, he let out a sigh of relief. "That one was a handful..." Honestly, he should've just kept his mouth shut. Because now he was carrying around a bag, partially containing those free goodies, along with something extra. Turning to make for the agreed upon meeting spot, he was ready to leave for now. "Alright, now to get ba--AAACK!" Malique jumped back in shock, his red gaze falling onto two Kuhna plushies that were right at eye level with him, and they were too close to his face! "Hey!" His sister said mischievously, a playful smile on her face as she stood up fully. "F-Fira! What on earth are you doing?! And why're you here? What about the raffles?" He began spluttering questions, to which she laughed. "Already got 'em! See?" And then she held her tickets out for him. "And since I already got mine, I thought I'd come and see if you were over here. Looks like I was right!" Being reunited with her brother, she was purring extremely loudly. "So, what kind of prize does this booth have?" Safira asked him curiously, peeking over past him. "Uh... Oh! Well, for now, that's a mystery. Literally." He replied, after giving himself a moment to process everything. "Oooo!" Now that sounded exciting! She definitely wanted to stick around to see!

"Yeah... Anyways, here." Finally, Malique held out the bag for her. And immediately her interest in the mystery prize shifted to what was being held out in front of her. "Huh? What's this?" She asked, as she took the bag and started getting into it. "Nothing much, just a little something I thought you might like." Her brother tried to reply coolly, but it seem she didn't catch that, as she breathed out a gasp. Surprised that he also got Kuhna plushies and kept them, but there was even a bracelet inside the bag too! "It's a Kuhna charm bracelet, that lady was selling them. So I thought that--" He didn't get to finish his sappy sentence, as his sister suddenly smothered him with a tight kitty hug. "I love it, thank you!" And that only made him happier, a purr of his own rumbling in his throat. "Glad to hear it!" When she finally released him, they went to find a place to sit down and relax for a bit. "So now we just need to wait, right? And then we'll get to see if we won." Her brother nodded in agreement. "Pretty much." Wouldn't be long now, and they were very eager to see what the results would be.

Oh Raven won't you sing me a happy song

You don't want me to stay alone
That's why you gotta sing your song
You keep tapping at my door
Nevermore, nevermore, nevermore
But can I ask you something
A favor from you my friend
This song you keep singin'
Nevermore, nevermore, nevermore

As the lady at the fourth booth tried to sell her the kitchen sink, Sori stood calmly by. She'd figured she would have to deal with one of these types while she was partaking of the Kuhna festivities. No judgment on her end, though. When the lady was done hawking her wares, Sori spoke up plenty rapidly. "One ticket from you, and I'll have covered every stall at this here shindig, as they say... somewhere. You have my thanks."

The King beneath the mountains,
The King of carven stone,
The lord of silver fountains
Shall come into his own!

His crown shall be upholden,
His harp shall be restrung,
His halls shall echo golden
To songs of yore re-sung.

The streams shall run in gladness,
The lakes shall shine and burn,
All sorrow fail and sadness
At the Mountain-king's return!

Glad as Raven was to enter all of these raffles, she had to wonder if the lines would ever end and if she could be on her way home soon. Accepting the freebies as she had with all the other stands, she smiled at the red-haired woman running it, looking a little exasperated. Did she really have to emphasize the word dying in her sentence? After looking at all the wares available, Raven took the last of the raffle tickets and raised an eyebrow at the pamphlet. "Mystery Generation Kuhna? This should be interesting along with all the other Kuhnas being celebrated and raffled off today."
