3. Do they believe in ghosts/spirits? Yes she does; considering she's part of an undead trio it would be difficult for her not to.

5. Tricks or treats? Treats, though she likes to make them look unappetizing or spooky.
6. What is their favorite sweet treat? Rheese likes candy apples, though she prefers the kind made of small balls of apple dipped in melted sugar rather than true caramel or whole dipped apples.
7. How would they react in a creepy haunted house? She'd laugh and giggle whilst dragging Gabriel and Lloyd with her.

Yes. Costume depends on what party he was going to, but he'd pull out all the stops so he wouldn't cringe at pictures afterwards.

He'd avoid simple shape faces, preferring to carve negative space to show some sort of design or creature like a werewolf snarling or a witch riding a broom against the moon, stuff like that. Of course, he'd do it wrong and the pumpkin would collapse in on itself after a little time of a candle burning in it lol.
3. Do they believe in ghosts/spirits?
Not at all.
4. Would they be more likely to go trick-or-treating or pass out candy?
If he couldn't go to a more adult party, he'd prefer to go trick or treating.

Depends on who he's with. If it's a S/O or date, def tricks. If it's somewhere tame, treats.

He'd downplay the crawling skin, laugh off any jibes, and probably punch whoever actually scared him out of his skin thus get banned while apologizing profusely the entire time.

Ozon;

a stoic, clean-working autopsy technician (at your local morgue).

1. Would they dress up for Halloween? If so, what would they dress up as?
In the spirit of over-working and not being one for the crowds, Ozon would wear his very authentic Morgue work-clothes, and pass as an evil scientist with lollypops. He'd turn the house lights off at 8 PM.

2. What sort of face or image would they carve into a pumpkin?
A classic, triangle-eyes-and-goofy-smile pumpkin, no doubt using a print-out from the web to make sure the placement & cuts were precise.  It's worth noting that he would only get to this stage of Halloween with a eager (and possibly drunken) partner hanging over his shoulder.


3. Do they believe in ghosts/spirits?
Yes, but he would never admit it nor tell anyone; even in the face of levitating furniture and/or oozing walls.

4. Would they be more likely to go trick-or-treating or pass out candy?
Passing it out; and even then, just a basic bag of cheap lollipops. He's a hard over-worker and doesn't have time to think about sweets or candy!
(He'd keep the dark greens for himself, for sure)

5. Tricks or treats?
He'd aim to give out treat, though if his candy bowl ran empty and he was still awake, he'd wind up handing out aimless things from his pockets  (including but not limited to; paperclips, pens, pencils, clips) which could be..pretty tricky.

6. What is their favorite sweet treat?
Lollipops and/or suckers. Just the dark green ones though; he avoids all else.

7. How would they react in a creepy haunted house?
He's a pretty tough nut, but not completely desensitized. The most intense reaction (outside of sweating and freezing up) would be to just up and run out of the place. It'd have to be Seriously creepy though, and/or seriously haunted; He works with the dead at his regular job, after all.


8. If they passed out treats, what sorts of things would they pass out?
Lollipops and/or suckers, and nothing else. Not even the good ones, but a dollar store bag of 'em. If it's a bad night for him, he might even hand out one per person. A good night would lead to a regular ol' handful being dumped in every available bag.


9. Would they throw or attend a Halloween party if invited to?
With the right partner, he could be persuaded to attend a bash, but it would definitely be a slim-giving. He's a workaholic, through and through, and doesn't do to well at big, social parties. Or drinking.

10. How would they typically spend Halloween?
After a 12+ hour work day in the morgue, they'd clean up and get festive via. enjoying a pre-made store-bought pumpkin pie, maybe with a dolup of vanilla ice-cream (if he's feeling particularly cheeky). Catching up on bits of news and skimming through Halloween specials, he'd relax into the couch and put on an old classic horror, like 'Frankenstine!'. They might get half-way through before slipping into a nap, waking only when the doorbell rings to hand out cheap lollipops. Overall? A good night for him to have.

Cassus adored his mother. Since it was just the two of him since his birth, his mother had been his whole world, and though they struggled he had the comfort of knowing her love. He hates what he knows of his father, for being the worst thing that ever happened to his mother, but he has never actually met him.
He is very fond of his mate, Borealis, and is attracted to her strongly though he is very reserved as they have only just become an unconventional family due to necessity rather than romantic involvement. He has looked after her ever since she came into his life, and is also a devoted adoptive father to Borealis' three pups; he has never known himself to be so invested in something or someone else before. He is fiercely protective of them and extremely attentive to their needs, despite having no prior experience with children, and is extremely grateful for the presence of Ebele, their Radill companion, who happily acts as temporary child supervision, guard dog and pack mule as the need arises.

Zli
If someone asked Zli about his family the first thing he would think of is his mother. Zli likes to think he is totally ambivalent about his biological family. His mother died when he was young, and he adored her. When his father wasn’t serving the war effort he worked as a spy and Zli never really knew him. The two do not get along at all despite his father’s attempted best efforts. They had been apart for so long that neither has any clue about the other and it makes any attempt to build bridges difficult. Zli has no siblings he knows of, and he has no motivation to find out about any extended family either. He decided family didn’t have to be reliant on blood and set out to create his own after his mother passed. Unfortunately, he ended up connected to the war-mongers that owned his father, but the family he’s made from them he wouldn’t change for the world.

Avika Shadix

Never once has Avika met her biological father, not even when she was an infant, as he left her mother during the time that she was still in her mother's womb. Thus, she has no particular feelings toward him, and doesn't even know his name, although she did hold his leaving against him when she was child. She was convinced that maybe her mother wouldn't dislike her so much if he hadn't left them. Her mother, Avika sometimes still detests her existence, it sometimes saddens her and, other times, it doesn't seem to bother her at all, given that she's mostly moved on. Her mother never showed her much affection and, instead, took her frustrations out on Avika. She didn't hit her, but words could be even more cruel. And then, her mother abandoned her entirely.

The only person Avika actually considers family is Otho. A being that was once a monster that feasted on her dreams and lived within his own world under her bed. When she was abandoned, the strange being took pity on her and took the child in. Avika would not say that Otho is like a father to her, although he undoubtedly played the role of her guardian. At most, he's something like an older brother, and she does love him as she would a family member, although she would hardly ever admit it. For the most part, as a working adult of her own, she has exchanges with Otho that are more like close, sometimes bickering, friends. She's undeniably grateful for everything Otho has done for her, though, and doubts that she could ever repay him for his kindness, even in her whole lifetime.

First and foremost, I'm thankful for not being dead yet! My body really kinda wants me to, and so does my brain. And they've both gotten me pretty close to it, but I'm glad that hasn't happened yet. I don't... want to grow old, honestly? But I'm not done enjoying the things here that do make me happy.

And because I've lived long enough, I get to be thankful for finally starting testosterone! That was a huge factor in my poor mental/emotional state for years, which I repressed until it finally exploded and I nearly did something super dumb. But, now I'm starting to grow facial hair, my voice is dropping, I'm gonna be able to look at, hear, and be myself without feeling so much disgust that I hurt myself over it any more.

And, I s'pose I should be thankful for the few months I worked as a janitor this fall, 'cos not only did it make me realise that I shouldn't push myself further than I can handle simply for the approval and acceptance of others, but it also helped me realise what I really want to do with my life while I'm here. I don't want to work with people face-to-face, at least not in a job where I have to smile and answer their dumb-fuck questions about where a bathroom two feet behind me is. I want to write a series and study psychology so I can help people like me understand themselves.

On that note, I'm thankful for my sister, who helped me come to terms with my alters. I've been aware that they were there for years now, but every time I'd bring up my concerns, they were shot down and I was told I was just making it up for attention. But my sister noticed the changes in my behaviour, and suggested I bring it up to my therapist. And now, I'm not sure if it's DID or OSDD, since I don't experience a lot of amnesia between switches, but regardless of which it is, there's at least eight other people upstairs, and I'm no longer ashamed or afraid of that.

... And I'm thankful for my pets for letting me pick them up and bury my face in their tummies while calling them little sushi's. Such patient little sushi's.

Agatha "Vivienne/Vivi" Shen

Family, huh... That's complicated.

Leo--- her twin brother--- acts like it's easy. He's always parroting some horrible proverb or whatever-ism at her about the importance of family, how they're there for you when it matters, how it doesn't matter whether you see eye to eye or agree or anything, or even if they're good to you. Family is family...

He could give it a rest. Vivi doesn't buy it. Their mother shipped them abroad when they were toddlers to hush up rumors because they were illegitimate and she had a career to worry about. She left them to grow up as strangers. Vivi isn't going to play nice and eat a quaint family dinner with her, no matter how much Leo wants it to happen.

But Leo... Leo's alright, she supposes. Her baby brother. Kind of naive despite everything, and she's not sure when he had grown up to be such a nag, but that was why she looked out for him. He was always too quiet when they were really young, and the help didn't like him because they didn't get him, and he took the bullying harder when they were in school.

He thinks he's got it all figured out now, but she's still looking out for him. Who decided to learn about all the Demon Heritage stuff that he was too good for so they could help him out when he wanted to start experimenting with it after all? She knows he went to law school because he had these big ideas about keeping her out of trouble, but let's be real, she's always going to be his big sister.

So, okay, maybe she does have his back even if they don't see eye to eye, but... that's different. They grew up together, they'd always been there for each other. It had always been the two of them against the world, hadn't it?

She could do without all that blood ties stuff, but... twin solidarity, that's real. She thinks so, anyway.

You know, I'm REALLY thankful that this is my last semester at my uni. (Am I allowed to say that? I'm pretty sure that isn't the point of this exercise, but... man, the burnout is so real)

But on a more genuine note, I'm thankful for my friends. I should be thankful for my friends every year--- and I am, I really am--- but it feels especially relevant this year. I don't have a lot of friends... or, well, any friends at all now IRL, but a lot of the time I don't really feel the lack of it since I've got people to shoot the shit with online.

On top of that, they've been my support network since high school; I didn't (and still don't) have the resources to seek any other support even when I probably should have (though I will as soon as that becomes financially viable for me, it just isn't atm), and I've been given a lot of good advice over the years. They got me through some really hard times in my life, and several of them helped me broaden my horizons and my way of thinking, and helped foster my personal growth--- even if it was only through dashboard osmosis of their reblogs on tumblr. Some of these people stuck it out through my super trying teenage years, and even the ones that didn't... I still have a lot of things I'm working on, and I know I'm kind of a difficult person to be around for a few different reasons. For understanding my communicative and personality quirks and working with me on them, I really gotta give them a shout-out.

It's not that anything really happened to me this year. I just finally feel like I'm in a place where I can really appreciate what they've done for me.

And on that note, I'm thankful for personal growth. I've written about it once or twice in my journal too, but this is also the year where I really noticed how far I came... and maybe it's not substantial enough to warrant this level of excitement, but I'm proud of myself for it because I had to figure out a LOT of it myself. I was in a pretty bleak place five years ago, but these days I'm confident that I can get better and keep working at things.
