Turquoise Pets: Pets themed after the gemstone turquoise, and turquoise jewelry. They would be the color of the gemstone, with dark blue speckles. Accent colors on them would be silver, as turquoise is often used in silver jewelry. Would be found in the Basantha region.
Berry Pets: Pets themed after berries. They are dark, fruity colors: Dark red, dark purple, and dark maroon. Would be found in the Desuna region.
Childlike Pets: These pets are bright, primary colors, of the four shades you find most often in crayon boxes: Blue, yellow, red, and green. They evoke childhood toys and coloring books. Although "wild" pets, they are found playing in Terrance Park. It's possible they were created by the very emotions of children!
Roving Pets: These pets have bodies of dark gray and black, accented by bright, neon red and electric blue highlights. It seems they are fond of travel and are drawn to urban centers, such as Aldrect, Medicai, and Lamenolai. Does their coloration help them blend in with neon lights?
Mochachip Pets: These pets are smooth, creamy browns with blue-green and cream highlights. They're reminescent of nothing so much as delicious mint chocolates and minty mocha drinks.

Elemental Pets - These pets are the embodiment of the raw concentrated elements found in the world. Their appearances can vary wildly depending on how deep their connection to a specific element is, and if there is any compatibility between elements some hybrids could also potentially exist. Areas where they can be found varies greatly, depending on where certain elemental energies is strongest. Such as Nori Volcano for fire, Fe'gan Mountains for ice, Tuun Mountains for earth and so on, for example.

Paradise Pets - Pets that are themed after the rainforest itself. They can be colored a mixture of greens, browns, and bright colors to match the exotic plants typically found in the rainforest, and have such a strong connection with nature that they are often seen covered in flowers, vines, fungi, and other plants. They would be found in areas like Tengal Rainforest and Nu'san Temple.

Spirit Pets - Deemed the spookiest of pets for bearing a ghostly appearance from their glowing transparent bodies and having the addition of a skeleton (if applicable) floating around inside. The possible origins of these skeletons, along with the Spirit pets themselves, is a mystery. These pets commonly have colors varying from white, blues or greens, but other rarer colors do exist. They are often drawn to areas like Baian Swamp, Whisper Forest, and Lya Pointa Cathedral.

Endangered Pets - Based on the real-life animals in the world that are already endangered, or getting close to it, these pets are rare and difficult to usually find. Some have been noticed around the Norrega region, where efforts to preserve these various species has been made at the Evelon Preservation Zoo, but it's possible many more Endangered pets could be scattered around all over Evelon.

Juice Pets - These pets look an awful lot like they're made of glass! They even have this strange bright liquid inside of them that resembles some kind of fruity drink. They're not fragile, are they? I hope not! They are rather friendly and enjoy entertaining people. They're found in places where either large concentrations of fruits or people are gathered, such as Sekudui Farmlands, Sa'fir Coast and Lamenolai, City of the Guardians.

- Stitched: No, not plush pets, but plushie pets! Made of fabric and cotton and all things soft and cuddly. Living dolls with button eyes, pipe cleaner claws, and brushed yarn fluffy bits. Coloring based on the common coloring of a pet, if there is one. Found in Terrace Park.

- Blessed: These pets are called blessed because they seem to be touched by the Gods. They are primarily white or cream with gold accents. The myths surrounding them suggest they show up to help those most in need. Found in the Aldrect, the Holy City, and Lya Pointa Cathedral.

- Coral: Coral pets are sea-bound versions of their land-dwelling cousins. Pets that are usually found on land can be found in this coloration, happily swimming in the ocean. The palette is bright, like the coral itself as well as the real-life animals that normally dwell in reefs. (Could also add bits of coral as horns or other decorations.) Found in the Freighlei Ocean.

- Extinct: Extinct pets are so rare they're thought to be, well, extinct. Based on real-life extinct animals such as the Dodo and Thylacine. Extinct pets are found in the regions where that species is native. (The Thylacine Tavil could be found in Town of Nabias or Whisper Forest, for example.)

- Techno: Techno pets march along to their own beat. Perhaps literally. Their dark bodies are accented in bright neon colors and patterned with sound waves that seem to glow in the dark. Found in Medicai City.

Weeping: Primarily white/light gray body with light line art, "ghostly" vibe (maybe inverted shading?), black hallow eyes, dripping some kind of ichor (black, red or gold) from their eye sockets and/or dripping/pooling off of their bodies. Found in Basantha Shrine, Lya Pointa Cathedral, Nu'san Temple, and Lamenolai, City of the Guardians.



Ornamental: Primarily deep purple and maroon, minor black, golden markings/accents. Generally have a regal or oriental sort of vibe. Found in Aldrect, the Holy City, Medicai City, Lamenolai, City of the Guardians.

Vigilante: No two pets under this color scheme are exactly alike, but think vivid, or even garish, colors from superheroes, antiheroes, and villains in comic books. Some may have more muted colors. Markings on their bodies potentially mimic masks, armor, uniquely colored bodysuits, etc. Found in The Slums.

Enchanted: Soft pinks and purples of varying shade, likely with gradients, with minor almost-white or darker shades of purples; think dreamy, fantasy. Markings could include some minor sparkles, wispy, wind-like patterns, or floral patterns. Found in Whisper Forest, Roraldi Forests.

Tropical: Almost entirely bright colors, including greens, pinks, oranges, yellows, mimicking tropical flowers. Found in Nodia Sea, Idalani Waterfalls, Tengel Rainforest.

Peppered: White/light gray base with black "pepper" spotted markings. Found in Sa'fir Coast.

Buccaneer: Variations with red, navy blue, gold, brown, white or black. Reminiscent of pirates. Found in Jawan, the Sea City, Ree'ne Sea, Rewhister Ocean.

I'm gonna work on developing one of my newest characters, Lostnyan!

He's a "twice-dead" spirit. He died once and came back as a ghost, but then, somehow, become one of the Lost pets. Before he became lost, he thinks he may have befriended a little boy who could see ghosts, but... he doesn't remember what happened between then and becoming Lost.

1. Would they dress up for Halloween? If so, what would they dress up as?
Lostie is a ghost already, so doesn't see much point in "dressing up." Instead, what he'd do is manifest in his creepiest form! He'd walk on two legs, make his eyes gleam really spookily, and brush his fangs really well to make them shine viciously.

2. What sort of face or image would they carve into a pumpkin?
He's not very good with his paws, so he'd just carve a traditional, "triangle-face" pumpkin face.

3. Do they believe in ghosts/spirits?
Yes, on account of the fact that he IS one.

4. Would they be more likely to go trick-or-treating or pass out candy?
He has vague memories that once, he went trick-or-treating with a little boy and had a good time with it. Thus, he'd go trick-or-treating again in an attempt to remember the boy's name.

5. Tricks or treats?
He was a grumpy old man of a cat when he was still alive, so he thinks it'd be fun to play a few pranks. His favorite target is self-important middle-aged men.

6. What is their favorite sweet treat?
It is a well-known fact that all location-bound cat spirits love chocolate bars.

7. How would they react in a creepy haunted house?
He's an actual ghost. He knows for a fact that he could be 100 times scarier than anything in that house if he wanted to be. Alternatively, if it's ACTUALLY haunted and not just full of people in costumes, he'd probably chat up the locals.  

8. If they passed out treats, what sorts of things would they pass out?
Fun-sized chocolate bars. Because chocolate is delicious.

9. Would they throw or attend a Halloween party if invited to?
He's too busy trying to regain his memories to have time to throw a party, but he'd absolutely attend a Halloween party. After all, ghosts love Halloween!

10. How would they typically spend Halloween?
Halloween is a great time for ghosts! Usually, he hides from people, but on Halloween, he would wander around fully manifested, possibly trick-or-treating for free chocolate. Most people would just think he was a Kuhna kid in costume, after all! But while free candy is great, he's really trying to remember his first Halloween as a ghost. He knows there was a boy who was his friend... what did they do together that night...?

He most certainly would! Dressing up as the headless horseman would be fun, or even as a simple pumpkin.

Mostly anything the pumpkins might ask of him when the time for carving arrives. But if given the choice he's especially fond of making all kinds of ghoulish faces that would terrify even the bravest of souls.

Yes, they are without a doubt, very real.

4. Would they be more likely to go trick-or-treating or pass out candy?
Passing out candy, for sure. It's far more entertaining that way.

Tricks, tricks, and more tricks! He loves seeing what kinds of reactions he'll get from the victims of his (mostly harmless) pranks.

Candy corn, but mostly for their appearance rather than the taste.

He would definitely love to see them try scaring him! But chances are they won't get a single flinch out of him and he'd just go along his merry way, laughing mischievously.

Alex, aka the Green Goblin (stage name)

1. Would they dress up for Halloween? If so, what would they dress up as?
Probably something like an oni, preferably with a full-face mask--- the ugliest, scariest one he could find. Actually, he got his stage name after playing for a Halloween event in a cheap green goblin mask (no relation to the comic book villain). He'd get the clothes and the gloves and such to cover his entire body so you couldn't even tell who he was.

2. What sort of face or image would they carve into a pumpkin?
His logo, maybe, just for a fun bit of advertising? Barring that, maybe just a classic kids' jack-o-lantern face with the triangle eyes and the sharp-toothed smile, since he didn't really get to do this kind of simple thing when he was a kid. He'd be meticulous about it though, especially the clean-up.

3. Do they believe in ghosts/spirits?
Honestly, no. He's aware he should keep an open mind, but he's definitely more of a Scully.

4. Would they be more likely to go trick-or-treating or pass out candy?
Neither! He's too old for the former, and he lives in a fairly nice apartment building full of... well, mostly not kids. He also likes quiet and privacy when he's at home, so even if he lived in a house, he probably wouldn't do it. Alas.

5. Tricks or treats?
If he had to pick... Treats? He's not opposed to a good prank, but he's also not the kind of guy who goes out of his way to invite being scared for fun. And all that stuff like egging and TPing someone's house... hard pass.

6. What is their favorite sweet treat?
It horrifies most of his acquaintances, but he actually likes licorice. Mint-and-dark-chocolate cookies are another one.

7. How would they react in a creepy haunted house?
Outwardly, he probably wouldn't react much, to be honest. He might be kind of nervous on the inside though. He's not the type who shows emotion well, and he just freezes up when he's scared...

8. If they passed out treats, what sorts of things would they pass out?
Licorice. Partly to try and spread the gospel of licorice, and partly so that no one would come to his house come next year :')

9. Would they throw or attend a Halloween party if invited to?
He might throw a small party for just his close friends. He'd go to one if he was invited by a close friend too, but otherwise he'd only show up if he were hired on (which... isn't too unlikely, given what he does). But if he were hosting, it'd be a quiet affair with some nice drinks and some snacks, maybe a movie, just a chill hang-out to chat and eat.

10. How would they typically spend Halloween?
Pretty much every year since he's started working, he's worked Halloween nights. Alex is a fairly exclusive DJ, and there's always a plethora of parties at clubs and such on Halloween for him to play. He doesn't mind, the money's good, and he's something of a workaholic anyway. Plus his friends are usually either working or clubbing on Halloween too, so the alternative is probably a night alone at home. He'd rather just be working, if that's the case.

Quest: Let's work on some (Halloween based) character development! Choose one character, show the pet's regular image, tell us their name, and answer the following questions in regards to them.

1. Would they dress up for Halloween? If so, what would they dress up as?
She understands little about what humans find scary, but if she had to do anything, she would just go out as herself. Klyntar can get pretty freaky looking anyway.

2. What sort of face or image would they carve into a pumpkin?
Probably other symbiotes, or at least her dad. She has a rare familial bond to them (prolly not mutual)

3. Do they believe in ghosts/spirits?
Her host, Anna, believes in ghosts (as a paranormal investigator) but the symbiote thinks spirits are something you drink.

4. Would they be more likely to go trick-or-treating or pass out candy?
Sarin would try to trick-or-treat, but might end up just taking the whole bowl of candy instead of having it passed to her. Honestly, she could be considered a kleptomaniac because she doesn't understand the concept of stealing.

5. Tricks or treats?
Tricks most likely. She enjoys scaring and pranking people, so long as things don't go too far and ends up killing someone again. She is so not careful with her claws sometimes.

6. What is their favorite sweet treat?
Chocolate for sure! White, dark, milk, any kind of chocolate is her favorite, even the cheap brands all the way to the expensive ones.

7. How would they react in a creepy haunted house?
Probably end up trying to join in and scare people too, not realizing it's supposed to be fun at the same time. She would do good at the 'extreme haunted houses' though.

8. If they passed out treats, what sorts of things would they pass out?
Chocolate anything, or those gummy body-parts and eyes. If she can stop from eating the candy herself.

9. Would they throw or attend a Halloween party if invited to?
Her roommate (or boyfriend whatever) wouldn't appreciate the former, but would go with her to the latter, mostly to keep an eye on her.

10. How would they typically spend Halloween?
Either with her 'father' if they allow it, or back with Sarcosanct eating candy and watching horror movies. If neither of those two, probably trying to make friends with her 'brother' and failing miserably.
