Eep! They were not expecting to sell their remaining CP so fast! Oh well, getting some extra KS was always a good thing, even if it was what... 40ks? Good enough. "Skraww! Here to exchange 1 CP to Night and 3CP to Toxicshadow leaving me with 0 CP. That should be all for my holiday shopping this year!" Haze vanished in a cloud of smoke, complete with ghastly images of skulls. What a trek...well, things were done until Christmas then.

He had been negligent in getting candy but things had been far far too busy this month. So when he received a smaller amount of candy for his precious he wasn't exactly thrilled, though Morgan didn't even seem to notice nor care. Instead the wee child was focused on the very colorful Electrowockees that graced the front of the store display as Fox shuffled inside with them.

Morgan stared bright eyed at the beasts and made a grabby hand at them as Fox approached the counter. Fox watched Morgan reach for them and gently pulled their tiny hand back, not wanting to risk them hurting them.

"I'll be getting one Electrowockee please. Morgan seems to love them. Hopefully they won't make too terrible of a pet. That will be 26 cp correct?"

All the Halloween festivities had died down by this point, but luckily for the Tali, the excitement wasn't entirely over just yet. In fact, the best part was still yet to come, and Atlas was finally going to cash in on all of the hard work he'd put in trick-or-treating here at the specialty shop over the past month. Sure, he'd all but gorged himself on all forms of Halloween-themed (canine-appropriate, of course) treats, but he'd been careful not to eat the 'special candy' which had been sent from Elie. That had been set aside in a container of its own along with the odd puzzle pieces which had arrived with them as well, and were now slung around his neck in a small jack-o-lantern bucket as he made his familiar way back to the shop.

It had been decided this year that he would get the honor of picking out the new friends who would come home to live with them, and he was beyond excited about the responsibility. You never knew what new characters would be waiting for new homes each year, and Atlas fully intended to make all the best choices. The store had completely changed in appearance since his last visit, and was now filled with an assortment of different pets, all labeled with CP prices. After carefully counting out his available points, he made his way to the counter to put his order in for his new friends.

Ordering:
1 Veiled Myu Reaper (6CP)
1 Veiled Mr. Wilson (14CP)
2 Electrowockee (26CP + 26CP)
Total: 72CP

Miasma yawned widely, flaring the vents at the side of her neck. She wasn't even halfway through her list of things to do today, and she was already bored. Couldn't somebody else do this crap? If mother insisted she do it, it must be important, she reasoned. The stuff on her list was top secret, of course, but it always was. Miasma stifled another yawn and wandered into the cheerful seasonal shop.

There was a line this time of year, and she nearly walked into the person in front of her. She sighed at the thought of having to wait even longer before she could go home. When it was finally her turn to make a purchase, she slapped a list down on the counter. The scribbly handwriting was barely legible, and she wasn't about to offer any help with it. In the end, they were sure to work something out. After all, she had plenty of currency to pay for what she wanted.

Alexander Fisher made for a terrible intern. Despite that it was only his job in the most feeble sense of the word, the fact that he hadn't been dismissed by their label and replaced as Amp's assistant was entirely down to a thousand year friendship - and it was precisely running errands such as this that made him believe this. The shop was crowded, packed tight with people looking over their potential new acquisitions. By the time he had made it to the front of the line, far too polite to cut despite his short time limit to complete this task, he'd about had it with human interaction for the next millennium.

"Hey! Hello, I was wondering - and if not, then it's entirely okay, but - you wouldn't happen to have any of these creatures in stock would you? We're shooting a music video downtown, and I honestly can't think of anywhere else to look." He cast her a thin smile, more embarrassment than poor disposition, and pushed the list across the counter for the shopkeeper to inspect.

Exchange for CP:
Puzzle Piece # 727
Puzzle Piece # 777
Puzzle Piece # 794
Total CP: 19 + 9 (Puzzle Pieces) + 7 (Indigo) + 1 (Middy) = 36

Purchasing:
Phantom Fenling (10)
Electrowockee (26)
0 CP Remaining

Halloween wasn't really her kind of holiday - sugar didn't react well with her tiny body, and having so many rambunctious kids in awkward costumes out and about just meant more hazards for her to deal with. So instead, as she walked into Seasonal Specialties, she was just playing messenger again; not exactly an unusual sight. That was, after all, her job.

Laying down the list she'd been given on the counter, she waited patiently for her order to be processed.

Starting Total: 52CP
Veiled Myu Reaper - 6
Harvest Lunafly - 8
Veiled Mr. Wilson - 14
Traveler Wilson - 12 + 2
Order Cost: 42CP

Yet another year of trick or treating was done, and Mojave's mind was elsewhere as she entered the shop. I wonder if there's an easier way to do a deep clean on a house... She was pulled from her mental contemplation of house cleaning when she approached the counter and was greeted. "Sorry!" She smiled ruefully as she pulled a small crinkled piece of paper from her back pocket. "Let's see. I've got 69CP so let me get the following?"

Widow Chimerantula 4CP
Harvest Lunafly 8CP
Phantom Fenling 10CP
Specter Zipala 22CP
Veiled Fenref 24CP
Total: 68CP

"Ah, looks like that leaves me with 1CP left over. Oh yeah! Please send it to my waifu, ToxicShadow, please."

It wasn't too often that Liza got to visit the other shops in the Marketplace. After all, the Tiger Scintilla was quite busy every day, with hundreds of customers coming in weekly to get their appearances changed. Liza couldn't miss this special day, though. She'd heard the new Halloween goodies were out and she absolutely wanted to see them.

There were already a lot of people inside when she entered, and she smiled at all the bustle. Soon enough, she found the new pets for sale and stared in awe at them for a while. Then, she made up her mind for what she wanted. Turning to Elie, she called out. "Hey! Could I get these guys?"

1 Phantom Fenling
1 Veiled Fenref

"Oh, and could I send my remaining 3 CP to someone named Flame?"

The pair of boys who entered the shop were difficult to describe in a word, so many just went with the term 'punks' or 'street rats.' There was a distinct difference between the two, despite them being practically joined at the hip upon entering. Immediately the younger of the two, a dark-haired boy with paler skin and an odd skull pendant around his neck, dashed off with a delighted giggle to look at the interesting creatures for sale. "Make sure you don't put your fingers through the bars, White," the older of the two, a rougher-looking boy with beads around his neck, called out. "They'll probably bite."

"I wooon't, Black," the other, apparently White, called back in a singsongy voice. Black smiled slightly and fished into his pockets for some money--very likely stolen--and tossed it onto the counter. He had to stand on his toes a bit to properly see the person running the store.

"Hey. Gimme these ones. Thanks..." he muttered, avoiding eye contact for the most part but keeping an eye on the shopkeeper's reaction to a child buying some potentially dangerous creatures. Hopefully, she wouldn't ask too many questions.

Balance: 57 CP

• Specter Zipala - 22 CP

With another year of trick-or-treating passing by, Skylar definitely thought she was crafty enough to get away with stealing all that money for buying loads of candy and stashing it all away. For several days Eliza could see the little cat being in a much more peppier mood than usual, and had been keeping a closer eye on the calendar the entire time.

She chose not to say or really do anything about it, and let Skylar think she was getting away with it completely. It was only after Halloween had ended, and the shop had opened up for the second portion of the holiday, that she turned the tables on her. She figured out exactly where that candy was being hidden, and snuck away with a small portion of the stockpiled candy stuffed inside a bag.

It was a little mean to get her revenge like this... Especially when the cat had worked hard to collect so much, but Skylar never even bothered to ask if it would be okay to spend that money. (Typically she never did...) Plus she probably wouldn't even notice it was gone anyway. The amount of candy that she managed to collect within the span of a single month was insane. Eliza actually wasn't sure if all of it came directly from Seasonal Specialties, or from some other sources.

Either way, she now had all the candy that were worth points at the shop, and fully intended to spend it.

She thought there were some really cool pets this year, once she got to take a good look at them. If it were possible, Eliza would have bought several of them. But alas, another peek into the bag told her that she might not have nearly enough for all the ones that caught her eye...

Still, she would make do with what she had. A strong familiar feeling within her also helped with making the necessary decisions. She could sense that some of them would have very important purposes down the road...

With a smile, she approached the counter. "Hi! I'd like to get these pets, please!" Then started pointing to the ones she wanted.

A fit young woman strode down the street, clutching her jacket tighter to her shivering frame. At the touch of something cold and wet on her nose, she glanced up at the dark and heavy clouds. With winter closing in hard and fast, it was only a matter of time before Rory's crew would be working in full swing, and they could use all the help they could get. Which is why she was making her way down to the Seasonal Specialties shop.

With a grimace, she clutched the candy in her pocket tighter and approached the shop entrance at a brisk pace. She sighed deeply at the rush of warm air as she entered. Quickly closing the door behind her, Rory turned to glance around the shop. She glanced at the clerk rushing around the back of the store, and decided to take her time in deciding who to hire. No, not them... too tiny... too intimidating... It doesn't seem like anyone really fit for what she was looking for...

Approaching the desk, Rory caught a glimpse of a catalog laying open with... more options? She flipped through the pages eagerly, and grinned as she came upon an interesting figure. "This might just work..." Looking up, she grinned and waved to the shop keeper. "Hi, Elie! My name's Rory, and I'm here on the behalf of Iris to pick up one..." She glanced down at the catalog again quickly before continuing, "Bayou Shartile, please!"

She quickly did the math, then plopped the needed 12 CP down on the desk. "That'll be it for us, then, for now. Thanks, again!"

A tall woman entered the shop, checking behind her for anyone else coming in before releasing the door and allowing it to close. Adjusting her hat, Dahlia scanned the shop quickly before smiling at the sight of the familiar shopkeeper.

"Hey, there, Miss Elie!" Dahlia approached the front desk quickly, pulling her bag up to set it in front of her. "I'm not here to make any purchases today, but I am gonna need some help here..." She removed a handful of candy and a picture and set it out on the desk.

"If you be so kind as to send these 2 CP over to MillietheWarrior," she gestured to the candy first, before sliding the picture forward, as well.  "And I'd like to exchange this Puzzle Piece 727 for CP, please!"

She'd done it! Remarkable, fantastical, amazeballs, she'd done it! Yvonne was practically floating down the street, a goofy grin spread wide across her face. She'd made her first sale today! And finally got the rest of that CP off of Iris' hands! Yvonne couldn't wait until she showed her! So lost the woman was in her thoughts, she nearly missed her entrance. With a short laugh, she twisted around and waltzed into the shop.

Alright, now where was the shopkeeper... ? Oh, there, near the boxes in the corner! "Hello?" The eccentric woman called. When she caught the girl's eye, she widened her grin once more and strode to the desk. "Hello!" She repeated animatedly. "My name's Yvonne, and I'm here from Iris to send a parcel to a friend!"

As she babbled, the woman shuffled around in her pockets for said parcel. After a moment, she found what she was looking for and proudly dumped the items onto the table. "I need you to send this 7 CP to my friend, Flame, please!" Yvonne nodded in satisfaction, then turned to dance out the door once more.

Before she left completely, though, she shoved her head back in with a quick, "Thank you!" It wouldn't do for her to not be polite, Iris would be disappointed. And with that, the strange woman was gone as quickly as she had come.

She had just enough points to get what she wanted. Thank goodness for the kind soul who’d helped her along. Eager to get her “Halloween shopping” done, Millie stepped into the now redecorated shop and made her way to the front. There were only two pets she was after this year, but there was another from a previous year that she wanted as well. “Hello!” She greeted. “I have a few things I need today.”

I love adventurous tales like that. That uplifting feeling that comes from seeing unknown lands and the knowledge that you came across—nothing can replace it! It opens a path from which self-confidence, experience, and important friendships—from the sharing of life or death situations—are born! But hearing it just isn’t the same. I want to create my own magnificent story!

A great adventure!

The Soveris walked into the shop again, fire dancing around her wings and claws as it had before.  She had a much smaller bag with her this time, but she set it down on the counter with the same amount of purpose and poise as she had before.

"These 3 CP are to be transferred to someone by the name of Crow," she said in a commanding voice.  "If you could see to that, my mistress would be very appreciative."

Thinking I can see through this to see what's behind
Got no way to prove it, so maybe I'm lying

Can you see it clearer, or are you deceived in what you believe?
Don't ask my opinion, don't ask me to lie
Then beg for forgiveness for making you cry
'cause I'm no prophet or Messiah
You should go looking somewhere higher
