The clinic was a veritable mess of horrors. Despite the strange reassurances of safety and guidelines, anyone with eyes could see there was more to the place mere medical practice. It wasn't that Hyx disapproved, in reality he didn't care. That was probably why he'd been tasked with this and not Kail. His counterpart had a weak stomach when it came to anything unhealthy. "I'd like to submit the Preluhna with parents Markus and Syf to become a Fallen Luhna," he said politely.

A rather small boy (or he appeared to be a boy anyway) entered the shop purposefully. When he stood before the counter, he gazed at the person on the other side as if he were weighing them to be tougher or weaker than him. Though he seemed rather prissy in the way he held himself, he seemed relaxed enough when he spoke. At any rate, he wasn't blatantly rude though that may have been because of where they were. It likely wouldn't do any good to be rude to someone capable of turning a really weird egg with an eye peeping out of it into a huge, hulking monster with tons of spikes.

"Hey. I've got this egg here and I'm looking to turn it into something useful. Something big. With lots of teeth. Wouldn't hurt if it was still a big softie, I'd like it to get along with me, y'know." He gazed over the chart before making his selection. "I'll take a Solar-X, A-Strain, and Fortuna Strain." Adding it up, he placed the funds on the counter, "I'll also be using this Specimen Jar for that sweet little discount so it should be 315 keystones and 10GT." He smiled, a quirk of his lips, though he continued to look about him with a detached gaze as if he were bored.

The Peacer Fellox that entered the clinic seemed rather small for its species - not gaunt or sickly, just...small. The runt of the litter, perhaps. When it reached the counter, it stood on its hind legs, placing its paws just over the corner of the counter (which was as high as it could get them). "H-hi," she stammered, or at least it sounded like a 'she'. "I-I'd like to make a transaction?" She sounded less than certain about this, but she nipped at the string securing a bag around her front paw and tossed it up on the counter. It made a heavy 'clunk' as it landed. "I know the war is over, but there are still people in need of safety. I'm t-too small to help now, but maybe after...?"

The woman who stormed through the front doors of the clinic did NOT look pleased. Dark blue and black hair was plastered to her forehead, rainwater dripping into her eyes. Tucked under each arm was a Mysterious Egg, the single red eye on each somehow managing to look disapproving as she stalked up to the counter.

"Here," she said shortly, setting the Eggs down with a heavy thunk. "I got conned into this, during a monsoon, mind you!" Digging into a pocket, she slapped a crumpled, soaking note onto the counter.  "Don't know what this says. Don't care, either. Just give us a call when the order is complete."

Busy, always busy. So many things to do.

It had enough mental capacity to wish it didn't have to leave the forest. It also wished it had not been granted that amount of mental capacity. The clean, sterile nature of this lab was wrong. It felt wrong, the chemical scent in the air burned when inhaled and it was just... too... clean.

"This one... has been chosen." It simply stated, rasping with a voice not used to talking. The creature gently placed the egg on the counter and pushed it towards the attendant. "It requires... strength to host." It 'blinked' once, the glow in it's eye sockets disappearing briefly.

"Solar-X.. and AP Strain..." It continued, not taking it's eyes away from the attendant. "A creature to host... the Chosen.. needs to be strong. We... require... a Solorex."

The little eggs were something else. Hyx wasn't unsettled by very much but this was unsettling. He didn't even have the luxury of putting them in some offhand closet and forget about them. Kailysion was the one to run errands today. It was good to get out of the castle grounds. He admittedly didn't have very much to do. All there was, was an egg and a shady clinic. Reputable clinic? As strange as the place appeared he had never known it not to deliver what was expected. "I would like a Lunar-X, and SP-Strain applied to this Mysterious Egg," he said.

The acrod fumes that the creature exhaled filed into the room sooner than the creature itself; crooked spine heaving and lurching with a half functional animation inherent in all its movements. And a wheeze, rattling and deep but too weak to truly satisfy the thirst for air. But despite the mere inches from death the beast seemed to be, it paid its body's suffering little mind as it dragged itself step by staggered step into the clinic.

Possibly at one point, it had been a kuhna in origin. But for however long its master has kept it alive, little of that kuhna is left, either replaced with the parts of other corpses, or rebuilt mechanically. The mask that covered its head was spliced out of two, to accomodate its wearer's pair of melded faces, a touch that went well with the elongated pair of tails that snaked lazily behind the rest of its decimated form. If it had wings at any point it didn't now, rather a pair of wiry limbs tucked daintily to its ribcages. Fingers curled away like a bird's idle talons.

Its neck creaked with effort to peer across the room corner to corner. Locking its gaze on the good doctor, a cloud of green, hissing fog puffed out of the filters of its mask with a pleased rasp.

This place tapped into something similar to her own powers, and yet, it felt wrong. It felt like a bastardized version of her magic, reeking of metal and unidentified substances.

Despite that, it allowed for certain things that even her own abilities could never do. And only here, through the bizarre methods of this clinic, would she eventually reach her goal of reaching a level of magic and control that no one in her family had ever come close to acquiring for themselves.

Many would turn back once arriving here, thinking of the creatures they were thinking of leaving here. And granted, for a moment, so did she. But this was but a minor sacrifice for the greater good: for a greater power.

The place honestly gave her the creeps, and very few places or things did. Alpha could practically feel the place sing with the dark side of the force. Regardless, she was to deliver the bounty here. Pulling the carbonite case out she floated it into the shop and unlocked it. Soon the bounty unfroze and slumped to the ground. The bounty was a miserable piece of bantha poodoo so she wasn't completely sorry for them. Okay maybe just a tiny bit.

She knew they were going to experiment on them but in the wild galaxy they now lived in as Imperial Remnants fought the New Republic, finding good jobs was tough. Especially if one wanted to remain in the more morally correct area.

Credits were exchanged and the sorry bounty was drug off into a back room. Alpha shivered as she turned to leave.

Hopefully whatever happened here would change the bounty's life around, but really that was none of her business.
