"Hey," one of them said, sliding paperwork and Keystones across the counter.  "Heard this was the place to come for certain changes.  My sisters and I... we're always getting called by the others' names, and it's gotten old.  Think you can set us up with some changes that'll ensure that doesn't happen anymore?"

This one seemed to have combined a few services from another market all into one. She saw all kinds of Kuhnas and Lakuhndras going in and out, and all of them seemed quite happy wth their new looks. She was eager to see what her friends would look like when they were done. "Hello!" she greeted when she reached the keeper of the building. It was an odd looking kuhna, but she didn't judge; she was odd herself. "I am here to have a few things done for friends of mine..."

He crossed his arms for a moment after he had set the things down on the counter, and sighed. It seemed as though he might rather be somewhere else right now. Even so, he dragged some money out of a pouch at his side, and deposited it on the counter, nudging the folder forward.

"One of my patients has undergone... some changes, I'm afraid. It pains me to do this, but please see to it that the following is taken care of. I have enclosed the correct amount of keystones in that pouch, so please. But do try and take care of him. He must be returned to the hospital immediately afterward. There is someone he will very much want to s-.... Meet. Again."

And the waves of burning light that chased them.

The pair that entered the facility was an odd one. They walked hand-in-hand, fingers twined tight, two children walked quietly, swiftly, like little rats--all the way up to the desk. It was the taller of the two that spoke first, the smaller half-hiding behind his back. "Five's gone missing," he said softly to the director, palm sweaty against Twelve's thin fingers. "We were outside watching the stormclouds... and played hide and seek. And now we can't find her..."

It wasn't abnormal. Children seemed to disappear all the time from that facility--the older children knew why, and the cruel ones told the younger ones. Twelve was Nine's age--he knew the possibility that Five had finally perished somewhere under the effects of the drugs.

Twelve hoped not. Five was just like them; she was a little odd, but then, they all were. Every time Nine spoke, soft teal filled Twelve's vision. It was one of his favorite colors of voices, as few as he had seen. A small thumb rubbed comfortingly against Nine's hand, large hazel eyes traveling around the grey room. Flecks of blue and teal swirled in the corners of his eyes as Nine spoke with the director, describing Five in the tiniest of detail; such was Nine's way of seeing the world. Twelve preferred to remember things on accident, rather than study them so closely.

He approached Napoloeon, seemingly unperturbed by the Kuhna's robotic nature, and withdrew his wallet from the folds of the kimono he wore. With a sly smile, he handed some money to Napoleon and spoke in a rough voice. "I need an...operation done on my cousin. I'm sure he won't mind, so please tend to him."

"This here lad... Well, he needs some work done. I hear you do anything for the right price." Reaching into his coat, his other hand firmly gripping the wrist of the younger one, he drew out the correct amount of currency, and placed it down on the counter. So doing, he shoved the young one toward the robotic-seeming kuhna, and crouched.

"Now you be good for these here folks, you ken?" the man asked, sharp blue eyes boring into those of the rather-ragged looking teen. "You don't go runnin' off, and breakin' my poor little heart, yeah?"

He stood, and gave the boy a rather rough ruffle of his hair. "Treat him right." and with that... he just left him to the care of the kuhna at the counter.

I'm rather green... although I'm hoping I get some experience over there. Yanno... as a medic." he hoisted the shoulder-bag further up his shoulder. "I hope I can help people over there, but to do that, I need to be at my best. I think what's in that bag should... about cover it."

It had been a terribly busy day and the office, the labs were full and the researchers were rushing about. It seemed with the chaos going on, Eilya had decided to send a small creature to take in the order. It had been given a note, and sent on it's way. She had not however foreseen the small creature getting lost, chased out of a couple of building, and swatted at with a broom at one point. Finally however it arrived at it's destination, worn out and a little haggard looking. The little creature managed to swiftly flutter in the door and land on the counter, dropping the note to the counter top as it panted. Once it had regained it's breath, the small winged creature leapt from the counter and took flight, just as another custom opened the door. Leaving behind it's note and a bit of keystones, the little creature headed straight back to it's home.
