Message to deliver, important message to deliver. The thought played and replayed in the garudor's mind as he flew to the saloon. It was a familiar route, one that was programmed in well! He didn't mind being the messenger, it was nice to be useful. Especially when he got to complete tasks and be on a predictable route. Some may think his job was boring, but not him and that's all that mattered. Beyond the predictability though, he also got to hear about far off lands and the many adventures others had! The adventuring wasn't his cup of tea, but he loved learning. It's all about seeing the bright side, and the positive side. He had reached the Saloon and landed in front of the counter. "More details from a previous adventures. Hoping they found something good!"

The shadowy figure sighed as it walked into the saloon. "Well, wasn't that a cliffhanger," it said. "So I'm afraid I'm the only one who can actually make it to turn in this form." It dropped a piece of paper on the desk. "Don't worry, this is going to resolve itself eventually."

Another week, another set of files. One file this week. It seemed light, but Kail had been assured it was just as vital as the last that had come across his desk. He was more than happy to pass on the information. If nothing else it gave him something to do, and a reason to leave the castle.

The man was out of breath, battered, and soaking wet. He left a trail of water everywhere he went, and he moved slowly with a slight limp. Still, he seemed determined to make it to the front of the saloon. When he finally made it, he leaned heavily against the counter.

"I found something out there in the ocean," he said. "Something big. I thought that perhaps you might know someone who would be interested in it?"

Laura had never imagined she would go on a hunt, nor would she go on another anytime soon. Still, it was nice to have joined Piper on this one. She had seen things that she had never dreamed possible before. She couldn't wait to go into the office and tell Farley all about their adventures. First, she had some paperwork to drop off about the hunt.

"Hello there," said Laura. "I'm dropping off paperwork for a hunter known as "Piper". I went on a little hunt with her and this details everything you will need to know on it."

The paperwork was the one thing about the hunt that Laura had felt confident doing. She set it down confidently on the counter. Laura wasn't a hunter, but she handled the office duties well.

"Uh, no, I'm not an explorer. Nothing of the sort actually." The girl gulped hard, this guy was way more metal than she was prepared for. "I got this item from a party and they told me that you'd be the guy who knew what to do with it?" Why the hell did Jack give this to me? Why couldn't he have dealt with all this crap? She tried hard to keep herself from rolling her eyes on reflex from dealing with her friend. There was no way she'd roll her eyes at this guy. That just seemed stupid.

Instead she unfolded the little cloth packet she was holding to reveal its contents to Rick. "So, um, you think you could help me out?"

Bali hoped her letter would reach the Saloon - and be accepted, as she had never really heard of anyone corresponding with the Bartender by letter before. She scribbled clumsily, unused to the way the ink ran off the sharp quill compared to the scratchy pen she had used to use back home, and left splotches which made the whole thing rather messy. She only hoped it would be legible enough.


'Dear Mr Bartender,' she wrote, face scrunched up in concentration.

'I am currently staying in Basantha Shrine with the Monks, and I am think there may be some unique creatures around here - I can hear sounds during the night.'

'Please can someone investigate? I am worried in case something is here that shouldn't be.'

'I am sorry for the state of this letter, I hope you can read it well enough.'

Hyx genuinely wondered where these files had come from. They were clearly not meant for him. He'd taken one look, and while he recognized what it was, almost nothing of it made sense to him. It was annoying to have to forward it, but there was no return address or even an indication as to who sent it. Maybe next time they'd come themselves instead of wasting his time.

A battered and bruised man made his way into the saloon. He held a photograph in his hands, the only proof he had managed to capture of the horrific creature that he had found while exploring the caverns. Offering it to the Hydrolisk, he cleared his throat and spoke. "I thought that this may be of interest to you," he said. "Just... whatever you do, don't send anyone looking for it unless you are absolutely sure that they will be able to defeat it for once and for all.

Piper was very thankful for her work family and mentor Maverick for helping her out on the hunt. If it wasn't for Mav, she might not have made it home. She was also happy to know how much Farley cared for the family that was the company he had created. It was good to be a hunter working at Farley's Finds.

"I'm back again," said Piper. "This last hunt was quite intense. You can read about it all here."

The slums was not their favorite place to visit, not in the slightest. It was cold, damp, and full of generally wretched people. Not that this garudor could judge nor blame them, they were a product of their circumstance, just trying to survive. It's not their fault that their survival was just a bit depressing to view. Nonetheless, they had a duty to retrieve exploration papers from various contractors (not that they were quite able to discern how these contractors were found or if they were even quite aware that their escapades were being used to this end) and give them to Rick here at the Saloon. So with much creaking, and horrible high pitched squealing from almost failing mechanics, the garudor arrived at Rick's place, a packet in hand. "Here you go, more exploring has been done. Thanks so much."

Eko stumbled in through the saloon doors, pushing at Rogir's snout as he attempted to push past her.

"No, Rogir! You have to wait outside - stop! You'll scratch the floorboards!" she exclaimed, as her heels squeaked on the floorboards as she slid backwards. She could feel the eyes of the other patrons on her back, and she gave a hard shove against his snout and began trying to walk forward towards the door, which was currently blocked by his scaly body.

Rogir made a disgruntled sound somewhere between a whine and a growl, but she knew it wasn't meant agressively, and sure enough he withdrew himself and she heard a 'flumph' noise as he plopped himself down outside the door to wait in a huff.

Catching her breath, she dusted herself down as she made her way to the bar.

"One stiff drink, please - and I'd like to turn this in, if you don't mind?"

Piper had become the proud hunter she once was. She had completed her first successful hunt since Mav had to rescue her from the tunnels. She entered The Lone Saloon with a smile on her face.

"Hi there," said Piper.

She was a regular here now and although she doubted they remembered her due to the amount of hunters in and out she felt more comfortable within the saloon now.

"I've got this paperwork for you," she said setting her report down.

She left the saloon quickly. She had earned herself a small reward in the form of a hot tea and she knew Laura would be happy to oblige.
