What a weird place... under normal circumstances, they most likely wouldn't come to such places. They were kind of a coward, easily frightened and absolutely terrified of pain. But, well, they had heard good things about this place, and so they'd thought, perhaps they would check it out...

The wares were, indeed, well worth the trip. Although it didn't inspire them much confidence, they just couldn't resist the rare items that were up for grabs. "Oh, wow..." they breathed as they stared at some of the items with shining eyes. "Say, could I buy a Heretic Strain and a Random Bottled Season?"

Xen didn't really need to use his bionic implants to map out the path to this special shop, but it certainly made things more fun. He liked seeing the transparent arrows pointing him in the right direction, even though they were unnecessary. He could have easily just followed the signs leading to the park, but what would be the fun in that?

When he spotted the hooded figure, he knew that he was in the right place. "Yeah, so I see you got some pretty interesting items here. I'd like to take one of those Mysterious Eggs off of your hands. Throw in a needle, and one of those bottled thingies, too, wouldja? Thanks."

When he left, his keystone pouch was noticeably lighter, but he didn't mind. What he now owned was far more valuable to him than mere currency.

Hazard was alone this evening, and that was intentional. After all, he wasn't here just for a pleasant little stroll in the park. No, he had some shopping to do, and it was the sort that may have made Mimic squint her eyes at him in uncertainly. Yes, it was potentially sketchy, but the items being sold were too tempting to pass up. Rare, limited items were his sort of deal.

"Why yes," he told the shady peddler. "Could I get a Random Specimen, a Heretic Strain, and a Random Bottled Season?" That should do the trick. For now.

If you looked closely at the diosol, you'd see that their legs were shaking as they approached the odd bench and the akail. Adri was reminding themself that they wouldn't be eaten today and that this gruff woman just wanted their business. It wasn't going to be any trouble. They had the keystones, they'd counted quite possibly a hundred times. Everything would be fine.

The diosol coughed and tried to deepen their voice when speaking to Nix, trying to sound more confident, but failed miserably. The sound that did come out was a wavering, quiet sort of rumble that was likely not audible to their intended audience. Nix barked at Adri to "Say what now?" and Adri visibly recoiled.

"Uhm, I-I'd like One mysterious egg, one heretic strain, and one random bottled season." They coughed again, and handed over the large bag of keystones with shaking hands. Not that Adri really wanted to handle the egg either-- the creepy one-eyed thing felt most definitely like a predator that would eat them if given the chance. But this was all part of the process. Adri was learning to be brave in their surroundings.

She really wants to eat the cargo. Pop it into her beak, take a big chomp out of the plastic wrapping, and slurp the liquid down. She thinks it would taste like vanilla extract, or like shampoo.

Fantasizing about consuming deliveries is unfortunately not a part of her job description, but look - it's been so long since she's gotten an assignment that was anything more interesting than delivering someone's invoices to the a store halfway across town and then delivering the corresponding invoices back. Once, she got an assignment to deliver invoices to a store two blocks away, where the shop owners had been in a petty argument and refused to talk to each other. That had been the highlight of her year, and if that doesn't prove just how boring it's been, then nothing will.

So she's allowed to be a little unhinged. So what.

Laura was beginning to be annoyed by the amount of errands she was running recently. She knew it was holiday season and that the hunters were busy, but Laura was a research assistant. It shouldn't be her job to pick up all of the last minute gifts for the hunters. At least she was getting paid for her time.

Laura pulled out a list and looked it over. Three items. Not a difficult task, but they could only be found in one shop. Laura entered the shop and smiled at the person running the counter.

"Hello there," said Laura, "I have been tasked with picking up these items."

When Midnight caught wind of there being an shifty looking woman hanging around in town, it didn't take long for the man to figure out who it was. After their last encounter had left him with something quite unusual and very fascinating, he'd been very interested in learning more about the other things she might have had in her possession. The only thing that prevented that from happening was when she had quickly disappeared afterwards. Since then, he'd been patiently waiting for this next opportunity to arrive.

When he got there, he would take a moment to carefully peruse her available stock, and immediately took an interest in the strange golden vial held within a case, as well one of the many potions available that looked most unique to him. "I'll take these." He'd tell the woman, already thinking about how he could make use of these items.

Stan stepped into the shop. It was rare for him to go on errands himself. Normally he would send someone else to do the small tasks. He had plenty of other more important things to be focusing on. He was in the area though so he thought he would pop in himself instead of sending India.

What a strange shop this was. Rhodes couldn't remember ever having come here before, though it had been some time since he was last out and about, and perhaps there was something he was forgetting.

Still, a transaction was merely a transaction. He briskly set about selecting what he needed, then proceeded to hand over the payment. Just because the shopfront wasn't necessarily respectable-looking didn't mean they didn't have interesting wares... Even if the wares themselves were also quite odd, now that he was taking a closer look.

"This much should suffice, I think," he said, handing over a small pouch of keystones.

After the whole kerfuffle with the Golden Thread job, Nayva had been content to let sleeping dogs lie for a while and had gone back to doing... whatever it was they had been doing before that job. They didn't like to talk about it too much outside of certain instances, and they didn't like being kept int he dark about certain elements of their jobs.

But when they heard that that particular employer had set up shop and was going to be around for a limited time, they had to stop by and see just what, exactly, they were into most of the time.

They made sure to don their usual mask that obscured the entirety of their lower face, and a hooded coat that obscured the rest of their face. They weren't sure if Nix would recognize them, but they sure as hell weren't taking chances.

"Hey," they said when they came up to Nix after looking over their wares.  "Gimme one of those Random Specimens, a Heretic Strain, and a Bag of Kuhna Nip, if you would. Here's the cash," they said, tossing a bag towards Nix with the payment.

The shop held some interest to her. Items brought from one place to another without so much as a whisper. "I don't suppose you'd be able to find the rest of this strain?" she asked, the token of the Weaver held carefully. "I would need two more of these Weaver fragments."

There was a pause as she considered the rest of the items spread before her. "I'll take a Mysterious Egg, a Heretic strain, and a Kuhna nip too."

"I need to get one more of these Weaver fragments," it said. "Can you get that done in time? As for everything else...oh, why not. I'll take a bag of Kuhna Nip while I'm at it."

The little girl just slipped up to the person selling stuff, otherwise unnoticed by the adults around her. She waited a moment, saying nothing, until the seller noticed her. Her eyes lit up when it finally happened, and she held up a piece of paper with a tiny smile. When the person looked back up from the paper, the girl was already gone. It was probably strange, by normal people standards, but Thalia had a job to do and she'd done it. Why would she stick around? Someone else would be showing up to pick up the goods anyway.

Imagine if the "boss" went to get his goods himself. But no, that good old fellow wouldn't risk dirtying his good image of the salaryman. Those shady people, they probably knew him, after all. And what if they decided to blackmail him, as a result?

That was why he ended up here, in this little park that, at first, looked completely normal. He knew the latest news, though: a shop filled with rare goods had opened up for a limited time. And those dealings didn't scare him. He could get a bit of stuff out of it himself, so it all worked out in the end.

"We're gonna make it short, yeah?" He didn't bother greeting the suspicious merchant. This was strictly business, after all. No need for pleasantries. "I have a list here. You can get me that?"
