I...I have no idea what is wrong.

I have email notifications for PMs turned on, so when I get a PM, I get an email. However, while I got 12 emails about new PMs since Christmas, I only got 8 PMs in my inbox. I have no clue what is wrong there - if my email is just very weird and messed up or if I am actually not getting PMs I'm supposed to get. I definitely have enough space in my PM folder left, so that's not the problem. Anyone having any clue? (Also if someone sent me a PM and never recieved an answer, please tell me - there's a chance I never got your message.)

Do the emails match the PMs you got? They should tell you the PM's subject in the email. If they match, then you should be fine. It might just be a weird hiccup.

Well, the problem is that I can't tell for sure since when you answer a PM, the title always says "Re: [Subject name]". I can tell that I got all messages about KS substraction since they're unique and tell the KS amount, but since for example some PM exchanges with Kodai and Pickle have the same subject lines since many PMs, I can't tell for sure if I just got duplicate emails or if they sent PMs I never got. =/ However, I can at least see that I don't have two emails with the same timestamp, so I'm a bit worried.

When you open the email, you should have the body of the PM in it as well.

I honestly don't think you missed PMs; I don't think anyone else has had this issue (unless they did and just didn't say anything). Honestly my phone sometimes sends me emails with delays, and I get confused as to whether or not I got a new PM, but as far as I'm aware, I've got all the PMs people sent me.

I unfortunately don't get the whole body, just the first bit since the emails get put into my spam folder and my provider blocks email content except for the very beginning then. But I do hope that you're right; I never had that problem before, either, and since all definitely unique PMs (trades and so on) arrived safely, I do hope I just got duplicate emails for whatever weird reason. You should have an option in your email inbox to tell your email that certain emails are not spam. Or if anything, you should have an option to still reveal the body regardless. I'm not sure which email provider you're using that it won't even let you tell it that Evelon's emails aren't spam/junk?

I have some weird German email provider which sucks. I tried looking into the matter during the last few days (hence why I only post this now even though I have the problem since almost two weeks) and while I can shove the emails into the "not-spam" folder, I then get a provider message when I open them telling me that this is totally spam and everything is blocked for my safety and it shoves them back into the spam folder. It's not just Evelon, though - everything that comes automatically suffers from this, so newsletters and stuff. And confirmation emails when I sign up somewhere. Not being able to click the links in these emails is always so very fun... So yeah, it's just German weirdness. There IS a tool where I can tell the provider that emails from a specific source aren't spam, but guess what, that's for the premium users and that means paying. So nope. xD;

That's... insane. Have you considered switching to something more mainstream, like gmail?

I should probably look into that, yeah. ^^; I prefer being with a German provider because some places like universities and so on want email addresses with the .de ending, but I definitely should look into getting a US email for my private online stuff. I had a google email once, but google sucks, so... xD; I'll see what I can find and hope that this will clear up my problems.

Over what time frame has this been happening? I've been in the backend side of the forums code recently, specifically in the PM section so I'm just double checking this wasn't my fault. My changes shouldn't have done anything like this but you never know with code.

Also if anyone else has been having issues, I encourage them to step forward.

Well, I only returned to Evelon and started PMing people during Christmas, so I dunno if it would have happened before then. The last time I sent and got PMs before my break was in October and I had no problems then. Since Christmas, I only got PMs from Pickle, Kodai, Nyxia and KS substraction PMs; nothing else. The maybe-duplicate emails for PMs are only for Kodai's and Pickle's messages, though. All these PMs were "answer" PMs (as in, had the "Re:[Subject Line]" in the title) to older PMs (from before my break). Hope that helps!
