So, reading through the Clinic info, I find myself a bit confused. I know the FS randomized the colors and patterns of your pet, bit does it evolve them one step up at the same time? Specifically, if I wanted a randomized Lucross, would I have to use the FS on a Mysterious Egg, or a Lucross?

As mentioned in the Clinic & Seasonal Specialties, Fortuna Strains are off the market indefinitely and we have no plans to bring them back at this moment.

However, how they have worked in the past is they've granted colors to a hatched Sickle pet. So the latter scenario in your question. But for further clarification, to get a customised Lusikross, you would need to get the Egg, the Lunar Strain, the SP-Strain and the Fortuna Strain. These can all be applied in the same post.
