Pit is the loyal captain of the light goddess Palutena's army. Though this kind angel has the heart of a young boy, he is very brave and would defend those he loves with his life, even if it means being reckless. He is charismatic with a sense of humor (though his puns tend to be terrible), and he is greatly optimistic, but sometimes his optimism puts him in denial over truths and causes him to see in black and white. He has absolute faith in Palutena, who helps him on his missions. However, he is also very reliant on her; Pit cannot fly on his own and needs the goddess to provide limited flight for him. He also tends to become nervous and self-concious without her guidance. He is a tough fighter who favors bows, though he has learned to use an array of other weapons, and he can utilize other abilities that Palutena provides him with. Sometimes he can even be a braggart when it comes to his fighting skills, though this is much more pronounced in his dark doppelganger, Dark Pit. He shares an intimate bond with the other angel; should Pit die, Dark Pit would as well. The two were once enemies, but they became closer since they discovered their bond. Having risked his life to save Dark Pit before, one could say that Pit cares for Dark Pit as much as he loves Palutena.

Dark Pit was born from Pandora's Mirror of Truth as a dark version of the angel Pit, as his name suggests. He was supposed to be allied with the Underworld army, but because the mirror broke before his creation was finished, he instead sided with no one, fighting both Pit and the Underworld. He took the goddess Pandora's dark powers for himself for a while, which allowed him to fly without help unlike Pit. However, a mishap resulted in the loss of these powers, his flight, and Pandora's rebirth, sparking a hatred between Dark Pit and Pandora. Dark Pit also has an ongoing rivalry with Pit, but he also shares a certain bond with the angel, as he cannot live if his light doppelganger is killed. Thus, he will put aside his differences to help Pit, and it seems that he secretly has a soft spot for his light half. Personality-wise, Dark Pit is arrogant and independent minded. He is easily irritated and has trouble putting down his pride. He's very skilled in battle and makes a formidable opponent, talented with a variety of weapons and dark magic. While he may do some backstabbing to preserve himself, he still has a sense of justice and will oppose any truly malignant deeds, indicating that this dark angel still has some light in him. Because he likes to remain neutral and independent, he is also good at critiquing a conflict from a third party view.

He's not very fond of the nickname that Pit and Palutena gave him, "Pittoo". After the war against Hades ended, he took up residence with the goddess of nature, Viridi, though she technically does not command him.

Viridi is a rather psychotic goddess of nature. While she is immortal, she looks and sometimes acts like a child, especially when it comes to her temper and snarky remarks. She believes that humans have disrupted the natural world and seeks to destroy them all, but hypocritically she also hates Hades, the god of the Underworld, for his harvesting of souls. As stubborn and fierce as she can be, she's not completely unchangeable; she had opposed Pit and Palutena initially but developed a bond with them after helping them fight Hades, though she denies that she cares for them and is still annoyed by Pit regularly. Of course, as a nature goddess, Viridi is very eco-friendly and has the power to manipulate plant life. Her army, the Forces of Nature, is made entirely out of natural materials, and she can create giant "Reset Bombs" that destroy and reforest whatever area they land in. She loves her army very much and refers to them as her children, and in contrast to her viciousness she tends to give her units cute names. Fortune telling is one of her hobbies.

Hades, as his name suggests, is the lord of the Underworld and its forces. On the surface he is quite a comedian, throwing around witty remarks, clever insults, and flirtatious comments even at inappropriate times. On the other hand, he is a truly wicked and arrogant god who loves causing chaos just for fun. He is manipulative and not afraid to use trickery to gain the upper hand. He has little regard for life and does not even care if his own commanders fall, partially because he can create new life- or even revive old lives- by combining souls and memories. Hades also enjoys feasting on souls to make himself stronger, an action regarded as abominable by other gods since it disrupts the natural balance of the world. He is tough physically and has potent magic skills, though he lost a considerable amount of power (and his physical body) once he was defeated by Pit. He has created a new body for himself only recently and is still not fully recovered. While this setback displeases him, he does not hold a grudge against Pit and even considers the angel a worthy opponent. As greedy as Hades is, he has enough patience to wait for the right time to rise again and perhaps take on Pit once more.

As the Goddess of Calamity, Pandora delights in trickery and has the ability to create illusions. She has a very erratic personality that matches her role; at one moment she can be sarcastic and laid back, and at another she can be seething mad, or even sassy. For a while she had the form of a ball of flame, having lost her physical form in a mysterious incident long ago, but a quick dip in the magical Rewind Spring restored her body to that of a gorgeous woman- and caused her vanity to go several levels up as well. Despite her beauty and her surprisingly good sense of humor, Pandora is a dangerous goddess to cross. She is a tough fighter who uses magical bombs, booby traps, and reflective barriers in battle, and her swordsmanship is excellent. She's also not above using dirty tricks to win.

Pandora resides in her self-built Labyrinth of Deceit, which utilizes illusions for security, and faithfully serves under the God of the Underworld, Hades. Originally, she was responsible for creating clones of Underworld troops using her Mirror of Truth, but it was destroyed by Dark Pit, her own creation, who defeated her and stole her powers. Ever since, she's held a grudge against the dark angel and seeks to destroy him whenever possible. She's not fond of Viridi or Palutena either and believes herself to be better than them.

Medusa is the Goddess of Darkness. She once ruled the heavens alongside Palutena, but as time passed, her growing contempt for humans and their fickleness eventually drove her to commit atrocities against mankind, turning the two goddesses against each other. As punishment, Palutena transformed her into a monstrous form and banished her to the Underworld. In retaliation, Medusa raised an army of Underworld monsters to attack Palutena and imprison her in her own temple.

Pit defeated her, and her soul remained in limbo for twenty-five years until she was resurrected by Hades. Though her memories were foggy from the resurrection, she retained her hatred of Palutena and attempted to get revenge. She was defeated once again and subsequently was revived one final time by Hades. Sick and tired of being constantly brought back to life, she aided Pit and Palutena in the fight against Hades, dealing a critical blow before being brought down for a third time.

Medusa is wicked, sadistic, and driven by vengeance. She holds onto grudges for a long time and is very cold, expressing little care for the underlings and commanders that work and die for her. However, she is able to temporarily put aside her disdain to help her enemies take down a common foe, as long as it's also in her own interests. She is very powerful, having the ability to turn people into stone and utilize all sorts of dark and illusory magic. She also has the power to transform into a floating, one-eyed gorgon head.

A terrifying monster from the Underworld, Orne is known as a bringer of death, a spectre made from the emotions of misery and regret. Having to feed on the life force of others to survive, he will relentlessly chase down any living thing that comes in his way when he is hungry, in addition to targeting individuals his superiors want him to kill. Most creatures will die just by touching him; his malefic aura is so potent that it can destroy minds. Orne himself can only be injured by holy weapons.

Despite his fearsome reputation, his personality is more on the cool and gruff side. He has a soft spot for Mimi the Mimicutie, whom he met while she was touring the Underworld.

The Hewdraw is a three-headed, flying serpent and a commander in the Underworld Army. He is a somewhat eccentric creature, with each head having its own personality. The blue head is friendlier, calm, and vain, but not particularly fond of his brothers. The purple head is the smartest, but hotheaded and argumentative. The violet head is impulsive and irritable, but more mature than his siblings. The three heads often get into squabbles with one another, but they have one thing in common--an insatiable hunger.

Though often distracted by himself, the Hewdraw is not to be underestimated. His potent fire breath has ravaged countless cities, and his heads can survive separately from his body if severed. Each head can also regrow a new body over time, meaning anyone who wants to slay this monster must do so swiftly.

Ashes is from a parallel universe, one where Pit hesitated to save Dark Pit from the clutches of the Chaos Kin. The sight of Pit abandoning him caused Dark Pit to allow the Chaos Kin to possess him, leading to the creation of a being of pure malice and rage. Reborn into a grotesque form, he discarded his name and took on a new one--Ashes. With his newfound and immensely potent dark powers, Ashes now travels across universes in order to destroy every instance of the angel and goddesses who abandoned him, decimating worlds and slaying gods along the way.

Xane is part of the divine dragon Manakete clan, a race of dragons that can store their powers in special "Dragonstones" in order to take on the forms of humans. While Xane lost the power to turn into a dragon long ago, he has instead gained the ability to shape-shift into other people, which he uses to fight as well as for pranks; he particularly loves transforming into others and mimicking their words. He dislikes humans since they persecuted his kind in ancient days, and the only human he really has respect for is a hero named Prince Marth. He used to serve another divine dragon named Gotoh, but after aiding Marth and Gotoh during a conflict against a wicked Dark Dragon, he has since been released from his duties and has spent most of his time wandering the world. He is fond of another Manakete named Tiki, as Gotoh ordered him to watch over Tiki in her childhood. He's pretty easy going, cheerful, and has a strong sense of loyalty.

In an alternate universe, he married Tiki and helped her fight a war against an evil dragon god, Grima. However, he perished in that timeline while defending a sacred mountain against Grima's forces, and Tiki later died as well. He and Tiki had three children in that timeline, all of whom used the dragon goddess Naga's magic to travel to this universe to reunite with their living parents.

In his youth, Lon'qu lived in the slums of a distant land named Chon'sin, where his only friend was a young girl named Ke'ri. One tragic day, bandits attacked while they were having a picnic, and Ke'ri sacrified herself to protect him. Blamed by her parents for her death and ashamed that he was not strong enough to save her, the young boy fled to a frigid realm called Regna Ferox, where he started training with the sword to become stronger. His skills caught the attention of Regna Ferox's West Khan, Basilio, who made Lon'qu his representative in tournaments to determine the next Khan. Eventually, he was bested by a mysterious masked individual in one tournament and ended up allying with a man named Chrom to fight a war against the nation of Plegia. After the war, he returned to Regna Ferox to become Basilio's right hand man.

Lon'qu is not much of a talker and comes off as very direct in conversation. He seems grumpy almost 100% of the time and is quite serious in all manners of business, preferring his duty as a soldier to anything resembling fun. His traumatic past with Ke'ri gave him extreme gynophobia, and he cannot go near a woman unless there is a life threatening situation. Lon'qu is also extremely proud of his sword skills and does not like it when they are questioned, although he otherwise dislikes flattery. He looks up to Basilio a lot.

Trivia:
- Canonically, his birthday is October 10, and he is extremely good at potato peeling. He also dislikes hot temperatures because he lived so long in Regna Ferox.

Vert is a cavalier who hails from the faraway country of Aralia. Loyal and kindhearted, his foremost priority in any situation is protecting the well being of people he cares for, risking his safety even as he worriedly warns others not to put their lives on the line. Some think he's too soft for the battlefield, but he is actually quite skilled and specializes in swift and accurate strikes. When he's not fighting, he can be found traveling to interesting places and trying new things -- though his adventures are inevitably accompanied by a lingering fear that something will go wrong, as things are wont to do during poor Vert's vacations. At least he's managed to remain in one piece.

Myron was a studious young man with an incredible talent for magic. Noticing his abilities, his parents sent him to a famous boarding school for mages, where he decided to specialize in necromancy. Unfortunately, one day one of his magical experiments went wrong, and it put him in a coma. Upon waking, Myron was no longer acting like his old, gentle self; he became aggressive, prone to mood swings, and developed a disturbing fondness for destruction.

The school felt they had no choice but to confine Myron to a mental institution. Trapped in a cramped, empty room with nothing to do, his condition deteriorated further. He repeatedly tried to escape and wreaked havoc using his magic, demonstrating great intelligence in spite of his madness. After a year, the facility's director finally decided to release Myron under one condition. The national army had heard about Myron's destructive abilities, and he would have to join them in exchange for freedom. Myron gladly accepted and has served in the military ever since.

Suzanne is the captain of the Nereids, an all-female group of pirates. When she was young, she grew up hearing tales of noble pirates who fought for justice and protected peace, and her dream was to become such a pirate. However, as she got older, she realized that many pirates were cruel individuals who only plundered, murdered, and stole from the innocent. She also realized that many women were suffering and in much worse positions than men. Knowing this, Suzanne walked away from home and went to seek women who would join her on a dream to create a group of good pirates.

The Nereids were the result of her efforts. Many of the Nereids were drawn to Suzanne's kindly nature; her crew calls her "mother", and indeed, she treats her crew like her own children, though she never coddles anyone and knows when to be firm. As most of the women on the crew came from disadvantaged backgrounds, they take pride in aiding the downtrodden whatever way they can while protecting the seas from evil using their fighting prowess. Suzanne herself, though not as sprightly as she once was, is no slouch with a battle axe when the going gets tough.

Jason was once a normal young man studying at Lamenolai University. Practical, honest, and not particularly imaginative, he lived a plain existence until a mysterious, black mist rolled into his campus one day. When he ventured into the mists to find his friend, Selena, he happened to stumble upon an injured man in a graveyard. The man asked for help, and Jason immediately responded...only to have the man suddenly become a winged burst of light that went into his body.

It turned out the man was Kuuriel, a fallen Seraph, and Jason had been forcibly bonded with Kuuriel. The encounter forced Jason to drop out of college, and ever since, he has been on the run, being mercilessly targeted by both Chaos and Seraphs. Jason is not doing well with his new life, but he is uncertain of how to proceed; part of him wants a way to dispel the Seraph from his body, but with his world entirely changed, he has been wondering if he can find a way to live with Kuuriel...

Kuuriel is a Fallen Seraph who went against Zu'hai's wishes. He was tasked with watching over a population of humans that had an unusually high rate of disabling disease, and to use his energy based magic to balance out their suffering with survival. After years of performing this duty, however, he became disillusioned and felt the population would be better off dead. He started attacking the humans and killed several of them before he was discovered. He lost one of his wings in the ensuing battle before managing to run away.  

He fled to Lamenolai and encountered a human named Jason, who he manipulated into becoming his host, . This granted the human what was left of his powers and made Kuuriel permanently lose his body. Despite this state of affairs, Kuuriel's pride and domineering personality has made it easy to order the more timid Jason around. Still, he cannot be too rough, as he is now reliant on Jason's well being to survive himself.

Selena is a student at Lamenolai University and a resident of Lamenolai itself. She's also one of Jason Vanhart's closest friends. Though she majors in criminology, her true passion lies in studying the supernatural. She is the president of the Supernatural Society at her college--or at least she would be, if she could get other people to join. Zareq is a Dweller with an interesting interpretation of the quest to become human. Knowing that Dweller and human bodies are different, he seeks to study the human body...by killing people and examining their insides. He mostly does his dirty work at night, where he can slip into the shadows and hunt down unsuspecting victims. When he can't go for stealth, he pretends to be a trustworthy figure until he corners his prey. His weapon of choice is a knife made of darkness.

Like all Dwellers, he lacks emotions but does not particularly pretend to have any; his masquerades hinge more on human-like behaviors than semblances of feelings. And while he devotes his life to serving The Will and his kind, he usually operates alone. His activities have caught the attention of certain Seraphs that wish to eliminate him. Partly because of this, he has sneaked into the Purine forces so he may study the corpses of already dead soldiers on the battlefield with some safety; doing so also gives him an excuse to kill.

A half-breed, feline-like Chaos, Drasinatte has always been mocked by more pure blooded members of his kind. He longs for nothing more than acceptance into the higher ranks of Chaos, and to that end, he has made his life goal hunting one of the Chaos's greatest enemies -- the Seraphim. He stalks the earth on his own, appearing wherever Seraphim have been spotted in order to dirty his claws and teeth with their blood. He has a huge price on his head, but that doesn't faze him at all. When he was a young partridge, Iwamine Shuu, then known as Ichijou Utsuro, lost his parents and had his right wing and vision damaged in a human extremist bombing of his family's workplace. He did not mourn for his neglectful family or particularly hate the humans; rather, he used the event as a chance to start anew, taking on the moniker of Isa Souma and becoming an agent of the Hawk Party, a political faction of birds that want humans exterminated. He was assigned to infiltrate St. Pigeonations, a high school with a more peaceful outlook on human-bird relationships, by working as a biology department reseracher. While there, he quickly gained fame as a researcher and met a rock dove named Kawara Ryuuji, a fellow researcher and the only bird he has ever admired. Unfortunately, Ryuuji died of illness, but not before asking Isa to do him a favor and grant his son a wish, which ended up being for peace between humans and birds. Isa thus changed his name to Iwamine Shuu, became the school doctor at St. Pigeonations, and started doing research to bring peace in the worst way possible...by creating a deadly virus that would eliminate the human race. His logic is that even if two species have a symbiotic relationship, there will always be conflict as long as both exist. To this end, he conducted many horrible experiments, one of which indirectly lead to the suicide of a student at the school, a mourning dove named Nageki.

Among the students, Shuu has a reputation for being extremely creepy despite his excellent reputation in the medical field. He can seemingly pop out of nowhere despite his rather large girth, and his characteristic "ho ho ho" laugh sends chills up others' spines. He is happiest when doing research and hates being disturbed; he'll deliver subtle threats to anyone who does so. When not acting grumpy, he is cold and calculating, and a smile from him is never a good sign. It would be wise to avoid this bird. Tread wrongly, and he may end up coming at you with his favorite meat cleaver...

Labor 9 is a creepy, scarecrow-like being created by Dr. Iwamine Shuu. Though its body is made primarily of cloth and metal, its burlap sack head conceals a human brain, which allows it to understand commands from its creator. For the most part, Shuu uses it as a guard, ordering it to keep individuals away from things he doesn't want them to see. However, it does so mostly by frightening people off; it moves slowly and usually doesn't get an opportunity to use its claws, though it is deadly if it gets close. Having been placed in an artificial body, the brain is damaged and has lost much of its original personality. This makes Labor 9 a mindless slave, unable to resist any of Shuu's orders.

Arkiel is a traveling mage from a faraway kingdom called Telos. He was born into the Telosian nobility and studied at the esteemed Telos College of Magic, concentrating on fire and light elemental spells. He gained fame by discovering what he called "liquid star-fire", a glowing fluid that can cause acidic burns, and he always keeps a vial of this substance around his neck as a light source and means of self defense. He began his nomadic lifestyle shortly after graduation for two reasons. One was to see more of the world, and the other was to get away from the constant warfare his brother, Armatas, started. He and his brother are quite different in personality and values; however, he still feels kinship with Armatas and sees him every so often.

Arkiel makes few lasting friends because of his lifestyle and quiet nature, but for the most part he does not mind solitude. He feels that he can think better when he is alone; his favorite activities include writing essays and doing research by himself. People who do manage to get closer to him will see that he is a kind and caring person. He doesn't like picking fights, but anyone who battles him ought to watch out for his potent magic. Although he grew up privileged, he sees the value in hard work and does not mind living without luxuries.

Somewhere along his journeys, Arkiel rescued this little Grondalith from a blizzard and took it under his wing. He eventually realized that it had great intelligence, so the mage named it Familiar and made it his companion. Familiar expresses incredible loyalty to Arkiel and becomes distressed when he's not around. Although incapable of human speech, it seems to understand language extremely well, and it has helped Arkiel solve many a puzzle with what appears to be heightened senses and extrasensory abilities. It is playful around Arkiel but shy around strangers, and it takes some time to warm up to others. It is also quite nervous around Arkiel's brother, Armatas, which makes the mage slightly disappointed.

- Sean used to have a cat that he never named; he just called it cat. So similarly, Arkiel never named his familiar. It is simply called "Familiar".

Armatas is the arrogant, aggressive, and anger prone "Blazing Lord" of Telos. He loves nothing more than conquest and earned his nickname from the way he figuratively (or sometimes literally) burns through his enemies' ranks and territories during war. His military genius is evident in his country's size; Telos was once a fairly small nation, but under his command it has rapidly expanded into a powerful empire that he leads with the help of his Most Noble Counsel. Because of his conquests and poor social skills, he has made quite a few enemies and has been the target of several assassination attempts, one of which took out his left eye. For a man who is so ruthless on the battlefield, however, Armatas is surprisingly reasonable with his policies. He puts his country first and uses his power to better his nation in whatever ways possible.

He is pretty ambivalent about his brother, Arkiel, since the two are so different from each other. He always lends a hand to his brother when asked out of familial duty, but at the same time he orders his sibling around a lot.

Alastor has served Armatas and the rest of the royal family for as long as anyone can remember. He comes from a line of intelligent Turqoise Grondaliths trained specifically for servitude and is quite proud of his heritage. He can help with just about anything, be it cleaning, welcoming guests, bodyguarding, or even simply chatting; one only needs to call his name. He is particularly close to Armatas, and while the two don't always agree, Alastor tends to subvert his own opinions to Armatas's; he believes it's rude for a servant to speak against a master's will and leaves final decisions up to the Blazing Lord unless instructed to use his own judgement. In fact, Alastor may be second to only Arkiel in understanding Armatas. He helped raise and teach the two boys when they were young, so he's more patient with his lord's ferocious temper than most. The Grondalith familiar of Arkiel's teacher, Nahlmer. It is said that Rasalas came from the heavens themselves, dropping to earth as a shooting star from the constellation Leo. Extremely loyal to Nahlmer, this creature can be called to the mage's side at any time and place, appearing in a burst of stardust. It communicates with Nahlmer wordlessly, as if through a psychic link, and can often be found lounging around Nahlmer's quarters in the College of Magic. Most of Nahlmer's students believe the Grondalith to be a lazy beast, seemingly doing nothing all day, but Nahlmer claims Rasalas helps him immensely with his research. Perhaps there is some hidden power inside of the starry animal, hinted at only by its penetrating gaze...

SevynBlue is a character who has existed in Chivalry Online ever since the game's release. A high level Paladin hailing from the kingdom of Valoren, he is an honorable young man with a great sense of virtue and an equally great smile, known to his friends as the epitome of the classic knight. Nearly all of his abilities center around protecting other players with his high defenses and his Light Spear, making him an ideal teammate in battle. However, he also has a reputation for being too protective, especially when it comes to ShadowRose. He becomes anxious when she's out of sight and is so quick to engage enemies in her stead that he unintentionally saps the fun out of the game from her. He also readily relinquishes any good items and equipment he finds to her, even when they are not immediately useful to her or would be more effective on him.

The reason for Sevyn's paranoia lies in his real life as Jacob Wrythe, a young man who tragically lost his girlfriend, Amy Claret, in a car accident after years of being together. Jacob feels that he could have prevented her death and buries his regret under a pleasant facade. When Amy's character, ShadowRose, mysteriously reappears in the game one year after her passing, he knows it can't possibly be her. But denial and a wish for atonement leads him to guard ShadowRose with all his might anyway. He only starts the slow walk towards acceptance after they lose against one of the bosses in the game, the Horseman of Death. Although his relationship with Julia began in a bizarre manner, he does care for her and forgives her for hacking into Amy's account.

Rowen just walked into the High Heavens' lands one day out of nowhere. Lucretia is the only surviving heir of the Belvederes, a rich and famous family of ghost hunters and mediums. While Belvedere women typically take on the the role of the latter, every other ghost hunter in the family, including Lucretia's twin brother, Marcus, was killed in a series of gruesome and strange murders. Knowing only that the killings seemed to be done by an evil spirit, Lucretia decided to break her family's tradition and became a ghost hunter herself. She donned her brother's weapon, a huge, metal claw fueled by ectoplasm-destroying electric currents, and now she travels around the land, seeking clues as to who could be responsible for such destruction.

Introverted, and unwilling to get close to anyone after the tragedy that befell her family, Lucretia is cold and anti-social, treating all her interactions with others like business exchanges. She's not very talkative, and when she does speak, she does so in a clipped, unemotional manner. She's incredibly single-minded about her mission and rarely bothers to do anything irrelevant to her own cause, unless it's a request from a client to eliminate some other trouble-making spirit. Sympathy is not something that runs in her blood.

Merrith is the matriarch of the Belvedere family and its most renowned medium. When she was young, the Belvederes' reputation wasn't as great or wealthy as it is now; the family was often accused of being witches and persecuted at every step. Merrith played a pivotal role in clearing the family name by resolving a series of highly disturbing incidents involving malevolent spirits. With the Belvederes now in good social standing, she fell in love with and was able to marry a rich banker named Royce Warren.

Merrith and Royce ended up divorcing some years later; their values were too different, and the man could not handle the stresses of the Belvederes' profession. Merrith, though initially crushed by the separation, grew into a tougher, more steely woman because of it. When the sudden mass slaughter of her family by a spirit happened years later, she was able to persevere, keeping a cool head and a determination to find the spirit responsible. Even this has not stopped her from fulfilling spirit handling requests she receives from the public on a daily basis.

As a woman with more traditional notions of gender roles, she is not entirely happy about her niece, Lucretia, taking up the heretofore male-only role of ghost hunter, but she allows it considering the dire straits the Belvederes are in.

Montessier, affectionately known as "Montie" to some, has been the guardian of the Belvederes for ages. Ty was not always a Nonaga. Born as a Taigra in the midst of an illicit trade of his species, he did not live long with his parents before he was sold to a sorcerer who conducted numerous transmogrification experiments on him. For years he suffered, acting as both a lab rat and a personal servant to his captor. By the time he was eighteen, he had been transformed into a Nonaga, and he had developed numerous health issues as a result of his body changing species so many times.

He was too weak to help himself, but one day, a Matches and several other personnel from an organization called the Magical Crimes Investigation Bureau broke into the sorcerer's hidden lab. They promptly arrested the sorcerer, who had apparently performed similarly grotesque experiments on other creatures before, and took Ty in. With proper medical treatment they restored his health to a somewhat more acceptable state, though he is somewhat deformed, has a weaker immune system, often suffers respiratory issues, and is frequently tired. Grateful that he was saved, Ty began working at the Bureau as a researcher, analyzing the effects of magical crimes on their victims.

Gentle and filled with empathy, there are few employees at the Bureau kinder than Ty, though he is easily frightened by conflict and is terrible at defending himself, physically or otherwise. He has a great deal of patience and never seems to be bored; he's able to work on something for hours on end, even to the detriment of his health, which he sometimes has to be reminded about.

The modern era, for all its livability, has not been kind to Talon. Abandoned as a child by parents he has long since put out of his mind, he roamed the streets for years all alone, stealing and even killing to survive. In time he became a master of the blade, as well as an exceptional parkourist. His talents led some to see him as a threat, but one exceptionally wealthy general, known only as Du Couteau, took interest in his abilities. On a dark, fateful night, Du Couteau approached Talon and invited the youth to join become a member of the Whiteblades, Du Couteau's personal assassins.

Talon agreed, and Du Couteau took him in, giving him place to call home. Ever since, Talon has felt indebted to Du Couteau and has carried out many assassinations for the general without ever complaining. However, after a few years passed, Du Couteau mysteriously vanished without a trace, leaving Talon deeply unsettled. In order to find his adoptive father, Talon has taken to the streets once more, scouring every filthy nook and shady cranny for any hints on Du Couteau's whereabouts.

Talon's rough past has made him cold, uncompromising, and solitary, yet extremely capable of handling all sorts of dire situations. While he generally refuses to let emotions get in his way, he's known to express frustration in the rare case of a botched job. His loyalty to Du Couteau is unwavering and one of the few things that matter to him, aside from the welfare of his adoptive sister. Though he'll never admit it out loud, he does care for her.

Dr. Sieman Richards is the owner and director of Lifespark Laboratories, a sperm and egg donation clinic in Medicai City. While he's renowned for his knowledge on genetics and reproduction, he has a reputation for being rather odd, and he enjoys making his clients and donors feel just a liiiiiittle bit awkward. There's a hidden side of him too, one that only a select few scientists and workers at the lab know about. Deep in the underground levels of the lab, Sieman conducts genetic experiments in hopes of producing "evolved" individuals who have exceptional powers and abilities. Those who aren't born with any debilitating conditions and survive beyond a few weeks are deemed his precious "children", and while he generally takes good care of them, not all of them view him in a positive light. Luke is the first of Dr. Sieman Richards' "children", created from the modified genetic material of two unnamed donors. He was born with psychic powers, which were uncontrollable and dangerous during his early years, but as he grew older, he learned how to tame his abilities with Dr. Richards' help. He now uses his powers to assist his "father" with various tasks around the lab, pretending to be someone Richards hired from Medicai University. The only two side effects of his birth are that he is totally mute and emotionally dampened, which makes it hard for him to interact and relate to others. He gets around his lack of speech by carrying around a notepad and pen at all times, though when engaging with someone who knows about his powers, he prefers to telepathically transmit his thoughts directly to that person. His other notable powers include telekinesis and a certain degree of clairvoyance.

As he is mentally sound and able to keep his abilities in check, he is one of the few children who are allowed to travel outside the lab freely, under the condition that he keeps his origin and powers a secret.

When he was just a child, Black Jack was the victim of a freak bomb accident that killed his mother and left his body almost destroyed. He was nursed back to health by Dr. Honma, who inspired him to become a doctor as well. He went on to medical school and became an extremely talented surgeon, renowned for his ability to perform miraculous surgeries on all sorts of medical conditions. However, he became disenchanted with corruption and bureaucracy in the medical establishment, and he opted not to receive his surgical license, giving him a murky reputation among some.

Black Jack is not very particular about who he operates on, but generally, he'll only agree to perform an operation if the patient is willing to pay some exorbitant fee, increasing the price for wealthier patients. This gives some people the impression that he's nothing more than a money hungry, callous man (an image he actually enjoys cultivating), but in reality, his moral code is much more complicated. He'll help patients free of charge if he is moved by their story, having known suffering himself. On the other hand, if the person requesting the operation is wicked, he'll find a means to use the operation to teach that person a lesson. He doesn't hoard his money either; he gives most of it back to the community by donating to charities and buying land to protect nature. All in all, if one can get past his intimidating, scarred appearance and his anti-social personality, one will find Black Jack is an extremely talented doctor devoted to using his talents for good, in his own peculiar way.
