Her appearance was very sudden and confusing; she just came in on the back of Kiru with no explanation as to who she was or where they had come from. The only thing she said was that she went by Mello — whether that was her real name or not is still unknown — and that they needed a place to stay. It is assumed that she cannot fly because she is always seen riding around on Kiru, and because the subject of why one wing is constantly crooked is a touchy subject.

On the outside, Miko is very happy and energetic. She is loud and fun to be around and makes friends easily. On the inside, though, she's almost the exact opposite. She's scared of being replaced, so she very rarely becomes attached to people or makes close friends. She has periods of self-hatred, though her confident facade is making those times become scarce. She hates seeing people sad and will try her hardest to make them happy.

When she was young, Miko's self-esteem was significantly worse than it is currently. It escalated from simple self-hatred to self-loathing. Originally, it manifested itself in lethargy and negative thoughts, then depression, and finally added anorexia to the mix. She would be made to eat, but she would just throw it back up. Fearing for her health, she was sent off to a little-known building in the woods. Since she would eat and keep down just enough to keep her alive, her diet was switched with chocolate. It was too hard for her to throw up, so she started gaining weight. Ever since, she's had an addiction to sugary foods; and whenever she feels the urge to purge or starve herself, she gravitates towards chocolate.

Miko's natural hair color was brown and was originally supposed to be died red. Picking up the wrong dye color by accident, she ended up with bright pink hair that she came to love and curl regularly. Her eyes are naturally pink, and she can normally be seen wearing skirts and tops with the color scheme of black and red.
