Stepping past the large wrought iron gates brings you to a peaceful open area. Calls of the animals within echo through the air and ring through one's ears.
The air is rich with the scent of exotic flowers that hold an otherworldly appearance. Vines drape overhead and broad-leafed plants create a dappled light over the path ahead of you.
As you step down the path, a wide area opens up ahead of you and the sound of a fountain's water dropping over bells brings a soothing musical quality to the tranquil area. Comfortable benches ring the fountain, providing a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the natural music.
As you look around the wide area, you notice paths winding out of sight through thick plants.
Looking closer, there are openings in the walls of greenery, windows provide a look into the camouflaged enclosures. Each enclosure is an open area, providing the creatures inside a comfortable home to stay in. Small doors under the windows are proof of the open-range feel of this zoo.
Each enclosure is tailored to each animal's needs they provide privacy for those who desire it while staying open to allow the animals free range and the ability to play with each other (so long as they behave)
As you look around the Doubutsuen, you're joined by a young woman, about 24 with a round cherubim face and hazel eyes that peer past you. Her hair falls below her waist in long tresses of dark mahogany. She gives a kind smile that warms and welcomes before she nods politely.
"Welcome to my home." She reaches to a low-hung vine and plucks a large flower off, winding it into her hair. "Enjoy your stay, my pets enjoy visitors, so please don't be startled if they want to play."

Taka's Story: Taka is as common a Kuhna as they come. She loves lazing in the sun as much as she loves chasing anything that moves. A bit of a ditz, Taka is easily distracted by anything sparkly or moving. She'll run off to chase a bit of dust or a grass seed only to be distracted by something else only to completely forget what she was doing to rush home when her stomach's empty
Umi's Story: Umi is a fighter. She's a strong young female and she's able to prove it! She'll -never- pick a fight, but she's very able to finish them when the fight comes to her. She loves sweet things, but always in moderation. She's prim in almost everything she does.

Prizm's Story: Prizm is an are-teest. He's as apt to be painting on a canvas as he is on anything that isn't moving. He believes colour should be added to everything, and that you can't have too much colour. He'll rush around and paint bright colours on a Bleached pet because "they're not colourful enough."
Keca's Story - Keca is a very unusual individual. He's not exactly angry all the time, but he's not always as pleasant as he could be. Then he'll turn around and be as sweet as candy. He'll glare and leer at new people and then be as sweet and nice with the people he knows as he possibly can be. No one's entirely sure why this Cake Kuhna is like this, but he is. Once you get to know him, and get past the sour outside, Keca is actually a very sweet little morsel.

Neptune's Story- Neptune LOVES flying and swimming. He would be totally and completely happy doing nothing more than enjoying the sun, surf and sky. He has a very laid back personality and greets most people with a 'hey dude! What's Up?" No matter the gender. He can be found fishing, surfing, windsailing or just diving between sky and clouds.
Narcissus's story - He's really not as vain as his name implies. But, like any good-looking male, he's a little cocky at time, but he's actually rather bright. He can't help that he looks as good as he does though. Whenever someone has a problem though, he'll be one of the first there to help. So long as they haven't insulted him to the point of him not wanting to be anywhere near them.

Grace's Story - Grace is... not. She loves things techno and neon. But she couldn't stay on all four paws if her life depended on it. She's more than a little bit of a klutz, but she's loveable and optimistic at all times, always with a smile and a laugh no matter her situation. Unless it's really really bad, even then, she'll try to stay upbeat.
Tsoreki's Story - Loves music! She's happiest listening to music (as long as it's not too high or has too much bass) She's rarely seen without some kind of music with her. It's almost as if a world without music would destory her. Her music depends on her mood and will usually intensify her mood. If you ever hear metal or emotional music coming from this Kuhna's room, you might wish to stay away. She's tough enough to take on just about anyone, but she's fragile and needs to be taken care of from time to time.
