Insima is a country bumpkin. Not the sort with questionable lineage and schooling, just a very down to earth country sort of girl. While not as "Eco"as Kaitori, Insima merely views the world as something that's there and leaves it at that. Why not always elegant, she does hold a good knowledge of more old world things due to her upbringing. She can be a little intimidated by technology (although she is eternally curious about it) and likes to keep things simple in both life and philosophy. Her more simplistic train of thought can on occasions lead her to look like somewhat of an uneducated girl, but she truly is rather smart. She just chooses not to further her mind and instead live her life as she pleases.

Kasari is a very open, kind-hearted young woman who has the potential to become very protective over those she deeply cares for. She’s one of those ‘always there’ sort of people and tries her best to give everyone some encouraging word when they need it. As one of the only mothers on the base, she can be a little apprehensive of how others view her and possibly the only thing that dampens her mood is the nagging reminder that she, unlike the other women at the base, is not ‘pure’ anymore. Besides that she has a thick hide and it’s hard to make her flinch on subjects—she has to, she’s decided, to make life for she and Alana something her daughter won’t regret later.
She’s very good natured and has quite an eclectic sense of humor—which helps her blend well with most everyone around her. At times she’s seen as overly caring, but that’s just the mother in her coming out.

Alana is a very level-headed and thought out child. She uses a lot more reason than most children her age, a product of being an unplanned child to a single mother. it's very hard to get her to harbor ill-will against anyone--she has this sense about her of selflessness and needing to be a friend to everyone who needs one.
She has a very vivid imagination which is usually used to keep herself entertained and free from loneliness. The only downfall to this is that she is easily affected by scary stories or images and if shown or told something often has trouble sleeping for days on end. She is so trusting in others that it's hard for her to understand some people are just mean-spirited.
The one thing Alana's mother has never been able to give her is a father-figure--someone Alana desperately wants in her life to make her two-person family seem whole.
