You approach a large marble structure with cute flowers arranged along a pavement walkway. As you come closer to the grand entrance, you notice a sign delicately carved into the wall. 'Welcome, oh glorious chord, to The Hall of Empty Melodies.' As well, you see a ribbon hanging under a small welcome sign:
Just through the stunning entrance lies a humble home, big enough for maybe three or four people. A rather bubbly young girl, looking to be a rather innocent seven years old skips from the house with an armful of supplies to care for, and repair any broken structures she may happen across on her rounds. For someone so young, she seems to be quite the responsible and knowledgeable girl. You call out to get her attention, and she stops to look at you with bright mint-green eyes, her wavy, reddish pigtails falling over her shoulders as her head turned.
"Oh, good afternoon, traveler, my name is Klaus. If you have come about my nursery, then the greenhouse is behind my own home..Feel free to look around. I am sorry I can not be of more assistance, but repairs must be made around the ranch."
Surely, you think, this little girl can't be living here by herself. As soon as the thought came into your head, a well-kept Hollow Tali came prancing from the girl's home, a whicker basket of smaller tools and curious plastic structures in his maw. He paused by his friend, looking up at you with sunshine yellow eyes full of curiosity. As Klaus turned to leave, as did the Tali, tail wagging happily behind him.

Personality: Obsidian is, if anything, the epitome of his race. His thick coat, soft as sheep's wool, is a lucious black that rivals the stone he was named after, and the skeleton-like markings thereon greatly contrasts with my personality, but match his own with startling accuracy. To begin with, he hides nothing unless strictly told to do so, and is indeed loyal to myself and those he's befriended. Obsidian is four years in age, having been with me since I was but eight. He was a gift from my foster parents, who knew of my surprisingly developed interest in the perverse. Never the less, he has a loving and compassionate disposition for all creatures, great, small, evil or good. Perhaps he is the only creature both capable of having empathy for the evils, and tearing into anyone who would do me harm with merciless power. Obsidian refuses to let me go anywhere on my own. He always follows me, no matter where I may go, a trait I admire, as few others would do that for me. He has also started learning how to speak in the human tongue, though for now, he stumbles over the few words and phrases he knows.

Battle Traits:
Spiked Body - Your pet has spiny protrusions that cause 2 damage whenever an opponent attacks.
Snowflake Wardance - Your pet is not hindered by traveling over snow and ice.

Subduing Strike - Your pet aims to harm, not kill.
Personality: Famfrit is quite the sweet persona. I admire his optimism and high believing standards of everyone, always making the best out of the worst possible situation, and finding a way to beleive that even the worst tyrants have good somewhere in their heart, though it may be burried under walls erected to protect the bearer. He seems rather naive about things, but he has shown he can be rather clever and most knowledgeable about some topics. He is quite the empath, as well, for his mood seems to change slightly depending on the mood of the other being he's with, making him a sort of 'counselor' for the ranch, especially since he can be quite the social butterfly. He will often go around to simply talk with others, which, after having him here for quite some time, I have seen an overall imrpovement in the temprament of the residents, despite his occasional ditziness. However, I worry for Famfrit at times, as things can and will bother him, greatly even, but he refuses to show it unless he gets near the breaking point, and I am often left wondering how he himself is faring, especially when I see some of the other residents using him for their deeds or making him the butt of their jokes for the sake of boosting their own pride and ego.

Personality: Ezekiel is..unique. He suffers from multiple personality syndrome, and while both personalities can use Xenev's element of ice to some degree, I don't know if it's a bad thing or whether the personalities are symbiotic in a positive way. On one hand, you've got Ezekiel, the son of a drugged Famfrit(Fam's..much more open when drugged. I should look into this) and a scientist. Ezekiel is as fluid and peaceful. He talks, in much the same cheerful and calming manner as his mother, Famfrit, and he's got good control over his emotions to the point where he comes across as constantly at ease. His buttons are hard to push, and when they are, he hardly reacts unless the antagonist refuses to stop. However, there's always an edge to his voice. There's not a violent or defensive edge, but a more..distant one. I've noticed how, while Ezekiel is calm, it's always in an aloof and detached manner. I speculate that this may be some of his father's traits showing through, since I was told by Xenev's owner that he lacks emotion due to the loss of a metaphysical heart. How this happened I do not know. Reguardless, Ezekiel is the more peaceful and calmer of the two personalities, and is typically the one seen by us around the reserve. He has some, but little memory of Reven's goings-on, though.
Reven is a different side. Not so much is darker side, but his more.. adventurous side. Reven will go out and search for things he needs in his pursuit of knowledge if need be, but typically, he'll keep to his chambers and his 30-acre plot as much as possible to pursue biology and a paranormal version of it, similar to Victor Frankenstein of Shelley's novel. Or rather, the progression of it(he made me go broke and in debt twice over buying a non-refundable electron microscope, TreeSAAP program and the components to run it). Occasionally when he's studying, he'll venture out to capture live specimens for the 30-acre pen of his to better observe them and their reactions in a controlled environment. However, he's not all work and no play. Reven's the feistier side. He's more easily provoked and by far more proud than Ezekiel, and when not given the recognition he thinks he deserves or feels under-appreciated, he'll throw a fit and the room starts getting chilly. Reven's more likely to act on something interesting he sees via observation, and like Xenev, the end justifies the means. If in the end, whatever things he subjects the wild beasts he captures to observe, he learns something or it leads to something he deems amazing, it was worth sacrificing the life.
The don't switch too often, Ezekiel and Reven will often, once a personality has emerged, will stay on the surface for a few weeks or months before the other takes over again. The two personalities don't seem to struggle for power at all, and there seems to be no use for having the split, as one personality doesn't protect the sanity of the other or emerge only when a fight arises, as both personalities can fight when necessary. The switch sometimes seems voluntary, as Ezekiel seems to be able to recall memories of things he's done as Reven, though not much, and vise versa. Ezekiel's more a passive observer while Reven has no problem doing what he deems necessary to meet an end. I believe the switch occurs when Ezekiel sees something interesting, but he lacks the overly-spirited drive and resources Reven has to pursue it, and Reven switches to Ezekiel when it's time to sit back and watch, being too antsy to do so on his own. They're both aware of the other personality and neither is bothered by this revelation. In fact, one personality often asks others what the other personality did, or will write down their findings for the other personality to later read.

Personality ((To be used in a mini-plot)) Lenore has the peculiar ability to light the heart markings on her fur. Ezekiel suggested a parasite was to blame for this, given how bioluminescence typically occurs when a host creature is living symbiotically with another that can put off a phosphorous light, or has a gene that lets them do so on their own. Reven found that Lenore had a gene mutation that allowed her to alight the heart markings on her pelt with a pinkish/orange glow. Reven found no detrimental effects of the witchlight, but later when Ezekiel was filled in on Reven's findings, Ezekiel noted to the irony of the witchlight as opposed to their father's genes. Famfrit found it amusing and as some sort of sign, but not much was looked into it afterwards.
Lenore, though, has a bit of a morbid personality. She seems sweet enough like her mother, and while she shows a good deal of his personality traits, she doesn't entirely bottle up her emotions. Instead, she has found a release. She likes to go out at night and ignite her witchlight, attracting odd looking..creatures. What I believe to be a Darkling..anyway. They flock to her with a bloodthirsty look in their eyes, and she proceeds to massacre those that come to her. Others around the pen care not for this..for the most part, as it isn't their business, but it worries Famfrit and Ezekiel. The state of mind required for one to want to do such a thing is slightly disturbing, and they worry for her physical health as well, as they sometimes flock en masse. One or twice she's come home, dragging herself along the ground with broken bones and six-inch long gashes. Ever since, we send out Aura and Tarn every so often when she goes missing in the pen to keep an eye on her and get her out of any tough situations.
