The entrance after rain.
From outside the entrance looks like a large crack on the cliff with a path unusually well beaten. The way in is dark and those who enter must bring their own torch. Those of you who know this place already know of a stash of torches for friendly visitors. The cavern walls are rough except in the narrower places where the rock looks worn smoother from something constantly moving past it. The path leads down ward in varying angles until after around a five minute walk the path levels out and the first cavern is seen. The path opens into a cavern of about fifty feet wide and thirty feet tall at its farthest points. There are three recesses into the walls where different bedding materials have been laid out. To the left, a few stumps for seats and a fire pit have been placed for travelers near a natural chimney. Don't drink the water though, its milky white color tells of its acidity. Limestone seems prevalent here though there are only a few interesting formations. If you go to the fire pit there are supplies and rations. It seems the owner is not home. For those who dare venture further than this there is another passage way leading deeper with in.

Leonie was found at the very cavern that her owner claims as home. Until meeting the injured creature Elaine Palantier was a wanderer, a loner. She had traveled and lived off the lands she traveled upon with neither friend or companion. Elaine came to this cave system after a series of dangerous weather conditions drove her to seek shelter in the cave. Drenched and unable to see in the darkness she slowly worked her way in far enough to escape the storm. Yet a little further down she had seen a glimmer. Curious she ventured slightly further until it was obvious that some creature was the source. It hissed and shifted but seemed unwilling to get up. Elaine stayed away and watched the glow patterns until sun arose. She had been too scared too sleep.
With daylight Elaine was able to see the injured Serraptor. She knew from her travels that these where an independent species and felt sympathy for the creature to have ended up like this. Once her supplies dried she started a fire near a convenient chimney and heated up some of her rations. Keeping one eye on the Serraptor and another on her meal she began talking to it. She hadn't talked for so long that it didn't matter if the creature understood. While talking she would toss a bit of food in reach of the creatures mouth. Each time she scooted closer and closer...talking the whole time. Who knows why she was able to gain Leonie's trust but with a little time and much talking [plus food] she was finally allowed to look at the wound and do what she could to speed healing.
It took a few weeks for the leg to fully heal and by that time Elaine had made a sizable camp. She learned much that never knew of her 'friend' by simple observation. She seemed to abhorrently dislike sunlight for starters and her skill and intelligence was amazing. Sometimes she thought Leonie, as she named her, was mimicking words but she could never get Leonie to repeat. Now she lives in the cavern and explores the surrounding area. She has thought of moving on but each time the thought occurs to her she can not find a solution to Leonie's dislike of sunlight. So she stays in cavern which over time she has come to like so much she decided to make it her permanent home.

I am being hunted....
Since adolescence Vraeln?Ær has traveled from place to place. In large places it had been easy to pick off humans then move on. As time went on the humans became more suspicious of him. Eventually he realized that a bounty had been placed by a few scattered people and now he had to be careful. He was lucky though...the descriptions of him were vague and as of yet there was no picture...it was only a matter of time though.
With nothing better to do he used one the few human resources he has...money...and found out those who have marked him. He decided it would be an interesting past time to hunt out these people...and make them his "guests" at the next family gathering.

Picture does not belong to me. I do hope to create my own image of the cavern one day.

For the past few years Beth has been traveling all over. She is kindly creature who loves to sing and learn new things. She has enough curiosity to take her on interesting adventures. She adores poetry and energetic people and is good around kids. Not always patient though. She is a loyal friend to those who get to know here but if that loyalty is abused it can never be earned back.
