Senna's official place in the court of the Garden of Stars is as the Weaver of Dreams. When she was first anointed, she worked alone, though now she has a few assistants; there are many more dreamers now than there had once been. Her appearance is not grand compared to her fellows, and she still looks much the mortal she had once been, unadorned by fine robes or illusions. The cloak of stars, which she is never seen without, is her one item of extravagance, but even this was woven with mundane silk thread. It is a testament to her skill, rather than any magic, that it looks no different from the garments of any of the other celestial beings. She is passably pretty, as girls go, but it is her lively spirit that lends her a quality that catches the eye.
She is by and large a great favorite among the court, especially with Elirian. Due to that partiality, she has been allowed to get away with a great deal of mischief in the past. However, this leniency is not merely the result of doting. Senna is at her best when her creativity is allowed to operate unrestricted, and many of her greatest accomplishments have come about through cleverness and guile. Her wit is an asset, and so the court tolerates her endeavors to sharpen it, even if it does make life hectic and unpredictable for them sometimes. It is worth noting that she is no favorite among the celestial bureaucrats, but that is likely because they do not take well to disorder of any kind, which naturally only encourages her to tease them.
Having once been mortal, and a young mortal at that, Senna serves an important role that nobody had anticipated when she was first accepted as part of the court. She is one of the few among the court of the Garden who can offer a mortal perspective, and just about the only one who is brazen enough to give her opinion without being asked. It is a little-known fact, but Senna had helped avert quite a few questionable decisions made by the court in the past, and now she holds an additional place of honor as one of Elirian's most trusted advisors, if on a somewhat erratic basis.

Surprisingly, Senna is a girl of many faces. She's careful about which she shows to whom, and most of her acquaintance hold the impression that they know all there is to know about what she is like, but their impressions of her can sometimes be vastly different. To the court at large, she is the vivacious, free-spirited trickster who heeds only her own whims and those of Lord Elirian. To some, she is a nuisance; to others, a welcome distraction; but on the whole, incorrigible and seemingly allergic to routine.
To those working under her, Senna is a hard but fair master. In a move that may surprise some of the court, she values honesty over skills. It is, perhaps, a little hypocritical of her--- for after all, did she not win her place in the court through deception? But if she cannot trust her weavers, then there would be no use in having them. She praises skill but also hard work, and works tirelessly to manage her people so there is always a place for anyone who honestly wishes to learn. However, prove yourself a crook or slacker and you'll find her wrath is formidable indeed, and often quite creative.
Most surprising of all is Senna's private self, a quiet and introspective aspect that she rarely if ever shows anyone else. Gone is the bravado and self-assuredness of her public faces. It is when she is alone that Senna allows herself to worry and to rest. It's a matter of practicality: her people-faces are useful to her the way they are, so she reserves the rest for her downtime. As for the matter of a 'true' self, well, they're all her. Who's to say the gregarious showman is less the truth than the girl who sits by the pond by herself and watches the moon?
H I S T O R Y
Senna was once a humble girl of mortal origins, though one would be hard-pressed to guess that from the way she carries herself. She is as much at home in the Garden of Stars as any of its denizens who had been born into immortality. However, Senna is in fact a farmer's daughter, apprenticed to a weaver. Even as a youth, she had been incredibly talented, but her master was a jealous and miserly man who deliberately set her to plain work so she could not outshine him.
Frustrated with her master's restrictions, Senna fled to a lake in the middle of the woods, where she glimpsed a congregation of celestial beings. Hatching a plan, she wove herself a cloak of stars, and stole away with them to the Garden where Lord Elirian was seeking the best of all weavers. The story of how she won her place at his court is a famous one, though the figure of the dream-weaver herself is not, and is still often told even today.
Less known is the fact that at the time, dreams were still forbidden by Lord Eon, and it was through Senna's skill that he finally relented. She had gone to him with nothing, and woven him dreams from her own words while he slept: dreams that dazzled him with joy, dreams that made him weep, and dreams of strange endless wonder. Indeed, there were many things she did that not even the court knew much about, but over the eons she had proven to be their salvation many times over.
The legends like to paint her as having been a gallant trickster right from the start, but the truth is that in the beginning, she was scared. It was only with experience that she grew into the person she is today, but she wouldn't trade it now for anything else in the world.
