Siang is the middle daughter of Hina and Ailys. She has inherited a bit of Ailys' demon strength and her internal organs are not completely fine, but she is still rather normal and can digest some kinds of fruits, though she has to be careful with what she eats.
Siang has inherited most of Hina's curiosity about the mainland, though her interest goes more towards lores and stories than to facts about the daily life that Hina likes to hear about. She would love to visit the mainland one day, but she accepts that the tribe needs her and that a display of her more-than-average strength might get her into too much trouble anyway. Still, she would love to travel more and is the one who explores as many islands as she can instead of just sitting around like most other Paragons of the tribe do. Because of that, she has quickly learned to love to listen to Naryu's songs, not only because of the amazing voice the other Placid has but also because of all the stories she tells in her songs.
Siang can, like Ailys, sense emotions very well, but she can't eat them. She tries to sometimes since her senses actually tell her that they would taste quite well, but she seems to lack the last bit of ability to do so. Sadly, Hina's healing powers haven't passed on to her, so that she can't put her emotion-feeling ability to use when it comes to locate and cure pain.

Naryu is a songstress with an absolutely amazing voice. She has lived on the mainland for many years, listening to stories and legends and then telling them anew in her music. However, she never wanted to use her abilities to make money with it, but that was exactly what the humans expected her to do. So Naryu had lived quite alone in a forest for some time to get away from the cities. The lonely life, however, made her sad and when she then heard that there were Paragon tribes living away from the humans on islands near Sa'fir, she decided to investigate and maybe find a new home there where she could sing for others again without someone trying to use her for material gain.
She has been found by Siang, who had been exploring, on an island near the one of the Aumakua Paragon and gladly followed Siang to her tribe. Naryu quickly learned how different life is compared to the mainland and struggles a bit to adjust, even though this is what she wanted. She definitely enjoys singing again for others, though. Especially Siang loves to listen to her and Naryu really likes having someone around who likes her songs not only for her voice, but also because of what she tells in them.

Essori is equally interested in the old ruins located on some of the islands as Siang is, though she is not as obsessed with them as her mother. She's also not in it for the adventure that Siang seeks, but more to learn about the history of the places she visits, being as interested in history as Naryu. Especially an old ruin on one of the larger islands two days of flight away from the Aumakua tribe has her interest, as there as actual statues of Paragon there. Since there is no danger lurking on the islands, Essori, even though with a bit of a bad feeling, sometimes spends a few days in the ruins to learn more about them. And while she isn't that easily scared or frightened, she can't help but feel watched when she stays there.

Darsis had once been a mage in a nation long gone, but instead of dying like everyone else of her old kingdom, she was cursed by the enemy and turned to stone. She managed to start a counter-spell before her whole body was pertified, though, but was unable to finish it. Because of that, she fully turns to stone when no one is nearby, but when another living being is close to her, she is actually fully conscious and can see, hear and think - but not move or speak. And no one has visited the ruins of her old home in a long time...
So when finally, Essori stops by ever so often, trying to learn about the old ruins, Darsis does her best to concentrate and try to contact the other Placid with telepathy. However, Essori moves around a lot and it's not easy to cast a spell when you can't speak or move and so, Darsis hasn't been able to finish it so far since Essori always walked too far away before it was finished, turning Darsis to stone again.

A very kind Paragon, Raine has sheer endless patience and seemingly never gets mad. Because of that, she often takes care of newcomers to the tribe or tries to calm down arguing Paragon. While not a professional healer, she likes to use her healing powers nonetheless, if only to end the first suffering before the real healer arrives. She never suspects anything bad in anyone and while that is usually fine around the Paragon tribes, where there is no lie and deceit like on the mainland, such a personality still lends itself to be abused, even with no ill intentions - especially since Raine probably wouldn't even be angry if anyone did that and she would notice.

Far, far into the sea, resources are more scarce on the islands and tribes don't live as peaceful as closer to the coast. Often, there are fights between the tribes for resources. Gignestai is from a tribe that has waged real war for a long time with a neigbouring tribe, to the point where there isn't even a real reason anymore; it's just about winning. Because of their small size and peaceful nature, Placids normally never are considered good fighters. But Gignestai's parents were murdered when she was still a hatchling in the war and her grandfather, full of hate for the enemy, had her trained as a fighter that the enemy would never suspect to be one. Of course, the news of a Placid fighting would spread eventually and so, Gignestai had to learn to be like a human assassin would be - faster and more dangerous, using her small size for her advantage and speed to avoid getting hit and crushed by the other, larger kinds.
Gignestai knows nothing but the fighting, so when she gets an unusual mission, she isn't fully sure how to approach it - because even the tribes closer to the coast might have heard of the war going on further into the sea, she gets sent instead of a real fighter to abduct a Placid known as a legendary healer by the name of Divina Astraea, living with the Aumakua Paragon. But the way is long and there is no way she can simply rush in and grab her target - she will have to recover first, especially with the wounds she always suffered in battle. And what better way is there to test the legendary healer than to live a bit with the Aumakua tribe and get her wounds taken care of there.
Too bad Divina is busy and travelling around and Gignestai finds herself under the care of a Paragon named Raine instead.

An avid swimmer, Difeen always loved teaching little hatchlings how to swim in the calm waters around the Aumakua tribe island. Normally, swimming isn't exactly the biggest hobby for Paragon, but Difeen loves it very much and even more so when she can be around hatchlings, for she would love some of her own and is a very social Placid anyway. She always seems cheerful, but sometimes, she can't help but feel sad about the fact that, while most of her family is happily mated, she's still alone.
Because of that, she always looks to keep herself busy. And since a few days, she indeed has something to do: Some hungry aquatic creature had attacked her when she had dared to swim out into the open sea too far and something that looked like a Placid had saved her. But Paragon don't live underwater...do they?

No one, not even Laerta herself, knows why she lives underwater, but it has been like that for as long as she can remember. She is very well aware that all other Paragon can't breathe below the surface and live on islands, but even though Laerta is aware that she can actually live on land, she never has and the thought scares her. She prefers what she knew all her life - the depths of the sea. The surface scares her because it's very loud and noisy while everything is quiet underwater. She still likes to help the surface-Placids, though, by sometimes chasing a few fish into their direction when she can see them fishing or by helping them when someone falls into the water and can't get out on their own.

Thalassa has fully inherited Ailys' demon blood. She is almost as strong as Ailys and, like her mother, has most organs crippled. It's still a bit better than what Ailys has, thanks to Hina adding normal genes, but she still can't digest normal food and must rely on eating negative emotions. Everyone in the tribe did their best to make sure this wouldn't cause Thalassa the grief Ailys suffered from and they did quite a good job - while Thalassa mourns a bit the fact that she will never be able to taste all the fruits the tribe collects and that her sisters enjoy, she also doesn't think of eating negative emotions as something particulary bad. If anything, she is sometimes glad about it since it helps her to locate arguing Paragons or Paragons in pain very quickly.
Thalassa and Ailys are really close, since Ailys was the one who handled her daughter during her youth almost all the time since Thalassa needed to learn how to control her strength first before she could really make contact with other Paragon who didn't have the same hard bones and self-healing abilities of her mother. Hina made sure, however, that her daughter grew up self-confident and not as sometimes depressed as Ailys. This ended with Thalassa being rather self-confident thanks to her strength. She likes taking charge of things and actually doing something as opposed to talk about problems forever. Sitting around isn't her thing, so Thalassa rather visits other tribes if her own doesn't need any help she can provide at the moment.
On one of these visits, Thalassa met Divina and befriended her after Divina moved to her tribe for some time. They quickly grew really close despite their very different upbringing, but even then Thalassa never expected Divina to fall in love with her. At first overwhelmed by the idea, Thalassa was hesitant, but in the end allowed the thought of being together with Divina to settle in and grow. They took things slowly and Thalassa finally found herself deeply in love with her friend. By now, they have a family of their own. With their hatchlings grown, Thalassa and Divina now travel to other tribes together once more, though they still love to spend time with their family the most.

Divina and her tribe moved to an island close to the Aukmakua tribe after a storm hit their original one. An exceptional healer who can even revive the dead within some limits, Divina lived sheltered and worshipped all her life. She was, however, always very worried about how her tribe treated her because they thought of her as their escape from death. When the tribe demanded that Divina took a mate to get hatchlings and pass her abilities on, Divina fled to the Aumakua tribe and Thalassa, whom she had met earlier. Originally wanting to head to the mainland to find a mate seeing her as a partner instead of some heavenly being, Divina then fell in love with Thalassa. She decided to stay with the Aumakua tribe, enjoying being treated normally after it turned out that even her sparkling body color is just a normal marking. In the end, she confessed to Thalassa and, after a few misunderstandings, found her affections returned. After building a nest together with her new mate, Divina and Thalassa got three hatchlings who all turned out healthy despite Thalassa's demon blood. Nowadays, Divina spends her time healing ill or injured Paragon while travelling around with Thalassa, caring for her children and, once a week, visiting her old tribe, which slowly starts to accept that their Illuminated One has picked someone with demon blood as her mate.
Divina, thanks to growing up worshipped, speaks rather formally, but is not arrogant at all. Sometimes a bit naive because she was sheltered all her life, she has, however, a sharp mind and quickly understands new things. Always a hard worker, she tries her best to help others with her healing powers. She never bears grudges for long, even though things can easily upset her since she always tries to please everyone.

There is no Paragon as sad as Halia with the Aumakua tribe. Halia had moved from the tribe to another, having found a mate there. But shortly after and during the middle of them building a nest, the Season of Storms had come and her mate, helping with securing the island, had been carried away by the storm and drowned in the sea. The only thing left to do for the mourning Halia was to return home to friends and family, not knowing many Paragon from her new tribe yet and also fleeing from the memories.
Everyone feels for her and she forces herself to move on and do her duties to help the tribe, but she has become really quite and a bit of a loner, not feeling like joining in meetings and activities. The other Paragon understand, but they and especially her parents are worried about her, no matter how often she tells them that she is fine. They can all tell Halia doesn't even believe it herself and so can only hope that something will spark her interest in life again so that she can leave the past behind.

The bit of demon blood Talan has in her has no ill effect on her at all, but it seemingly is the cause for her strange abilities: Talan has inherited Divina's healing powers, but she seems unable to use them on other Paragon, humans or animals. Instead, Talan is able to heal all kinds of plants as long as they are not too damaged. At first she got looked at a bit strangely because of that unique power, but since the islands near the Sa'fir Coast get storms every now and then, Talan's powers quickly came in handy when she was grown up. Healing trees takes a lot of power and time from her, but she's able to do so and has saved quite a few tribes from moving to a different island after a storm before because she could fix at least enough of the fruit-bearing trees that the tribe could last until new ones had grown.
While always friendly towards everyone, Talan is a bit of a loner who enjoys spending her time around plants the most, caring for them. She has no control over earth or anything, she just enjoys taking care of flowers and trees alike. Just because she does so doesn't mean that she is against picking fruits or flowers, though - she is aware they have no real soul and doesn't mind that at all; in fact, she likes to grow flowers for hatchlings who like to wear them on their heads.

Sephia is a strange Paragon that one day just appeared on the island, sitting under a fruit tree near a pond. She never seems to move far from that place, even though she always seems happy to get visitors. The tree she stays close to looks totally normal, but she insists it's special, though no one seems to know how. Sephia has a great deal of knowledge about its kind and doesn't mind sharing it.
The strange Placid doesn't seem to have a nest, either, and seems unwilling to build one. Talan is the only one who met her so far and Sephia never seems to be around when Talan tries to introduce her to others - even though Sephia insists she never leaves far.
Sephia is very kind and gentle, but seems strangely uninformed about a lot of Paragon things. She's a real mystery.

Living a peaceful life with the tribe, Shiai has far fewer problems than the people on the mainland, but she still ended up with more than the average Paragon had: Thanks to looks, Shiai has a lot of males running after her. However, seeing how everyone in her family seems to have found real love, Shiai is really picky. Strangely, that seems to spur the males on even more and while she is a rather mild-mannered Paragon, she is getting annoyed by it by now. It makes her almost want to simply choose a mate, but she knows that she would never be content with someone just chosen out of necessity. And so, Shiai endures the males a bit longer and hopes that she somehow will realize when the one meant for her will sit somewhere in the crowd.

Farahne is a Paragon princess from the mainland. She has grown up with the best education and with riches around her. However, through all of this, one thing has been made clear to her: There is someone destined for her that she is supposed to make her mate - someone with a white stripe on his back. However, that Paragon has so far failed to turn up and Farahne has come to the point where just sitting and waiting has become ridiculous. Deciding that either that destiny meant for her is false, no matter what everyone says, or that her destined one simply won't come to her even though she is a princess, Farahne runs away from her kingdom. She doesn't know herself if she sets out to find the one meant for her on her own or if she just needs a break from all the expectations that seemingly won't come true, but the end result is the same and so she travels around the land.
