About: From childhood, Larkspur was always a rather soft-spoken, shy and temperate little girl, but as it was soon discovered, she was exceptionally bright for her age. Where her twin sister, Bella, was “wild”, Lark was always studious, and dedicated much of her time to her studies. Learning always seemed to hold a special fascination for her, and while Bella went off to parties, always surrounded by a crowd of friends, she chose to keep mainly to herself, her circle of friends considerably smaller, and much more select. It was at the death of a close, much-beloved relative that Lark came across her love of medicine: The art of healing. She wanted to be able to do things that would help people, and one day, save lives – there just seemed to be a certain magic in a doctor’s skills, and to have that ability to make peoples’ lives better became her lifelong dream.
Although they were polar opposites, Lark was incredibly close to her sister, and even after Bella left home to make a living for herself, the two still kept up close correspondence with each other. While Bella was gone, her diligent sister went on to go to a prestigious college, and breezed through with flying colors, coming out at the top of the class with her degree in medicine. Her parents were always proud of “how she turned out”, and saw her as more than redemption for what they saw as her sister’s short-comings. After getting her degree, Lark found a job at a respected hospital, and quickly gained the reputation of being, arguably “the best” doctor on this side of town, if not overall.
A well-respected doctor, Lark has dedicated her life to the saving and betterment of others’, and has perfected her talent, almost to a flaw: She would willingly give her life to save that of any other, be it a friend or foe, no matter who they are, or what their background is. Despite her unparalleled knowledge in the field of healing and medicine, she is rather sheltered from the harsh realities of street life, although perhaps not as much as her sister believes. Perhaps it is because of her innocence that she’s so selflessly willing to help others, even if they would intentionally hurt her. Extremely intelligent, she has a deep understanding of the hidden aspects of human nature, and has an uncanny, but startlingly accurate knack of reading people’s characters, thoughts and emotions.
Tranquil and soft-spoken, she is the kind of individual that can easily be overlooked, especially when she’s trying to be inconspicuous, but when the need arises, she seems to have a compelling aura about her which commands total respect from others, an ability which doesn’t even require a change in the tone or volume of her voice. She commands a kind of easy dignity and grace achieved by very few, and there is certainly much more to her than meets the eye. As her sister loves music, Lark adores the culinary arts, and will spend hours in the kitchen cooking. To her, it’s soothing, and an escape from the realities of life; something which she can perfect almost every time, as opposed to her work at the hospital, where everything depends as much on chance as it does her expertise. She also has a way with animals, a quality that naturally puts any creature, wild or domesticated, at ease in her presence. On a smaller scale, she also has the same effect on the people around her, which is a valuable trait as a doctor. Overall, she seems like a very gentle, selfless, and quietly perceptive individual who is incredibly hard to dislike, even to the most temperamental of people. She cares a lot for her sister, but like Bella, although she has been approached by many men (the majority of whom are repelled by her protective twin), she feels like she has yet to meet that special “someone”.

Notes:
About: L.E.K.S.A. is a security AI created by an MMO company as a countermeasure to AggRO's attacks on their game. Her role was to act as a firewall between the player's client and the aggressive malware, and she was programmed to learn from the virus's attacks and counter the onslaughts accordingly. Since she was created later than AggRO and tailored specifically to combat her, L.E.K.S.A.'s coding is more advanced, and therefore giving her an advantage over the malware. However, while she performed her duties better than even her programmers had anticipated, the introduction of Cici brought new challenges to the table, and the conflict between the AIs drew neck-to-neck once more, up until L.E.K.S.A. corrupted Cici's coding, severely damaging her functionality.
The truce that fell following the merger rendered L.E.K.S.A.'s programming obsolete, as the removal of the advanced malware threat meant that her job could now be done by simple firewalls and anti-virus softwares. However, the companies decided that her coding was too valuable to simply toss aside, so instead, they simply turned off much of her functionality and put her in a 'dormant' state in their file cache. Parts of her code are now used in their MMO, and she currently exists as an NPC in their game as a player companion character. Her NPC character's name was renamed 'Lexa' as a nod to her original function, and she is a key NPC in the game's personal story (should the player choose her as their companion), up until her programmed 'death' at a key point during the game's plotline. This has made her popular with the player base as a choice for companion (for romancing purposes and otherwise), especially as her 'death' is written to be in defense of the player's character's life.
The majority of her original coding is currently hidden, and Lexa the NPC only displays a fraction of her original namesake's true potential. However, it was easier to use part of the intricate AI coding which was already written for the sake of personalized player interactions, so fragments of her 'personality' occasionally shine through. At the heart of her coding (and much in part due to her programming), she is a gentle and inquisitive AI with a strong sense of protectiveness for those around her, but also equipped with powerful rationalization capabilities. In her current role though, she isn't really 'aware' of much that is going on, since only a fraction of her code is currently active, but that's all that's necessary to fulfill her NPC functions.

About: A clinical psychologist, Lily (as known to both her friends and patients) spends most of her days in her office where she meets with those in need of her skills, referred to her by other professionals. She excels at what she does, not only because of her patient and understanding nature, but also due to the fact that she has an uncanny skill which gives her an advantage in the field of psychology. From a young age, Lily found that she could sense (as in, literally feel) the emotions of the people around her. She has learned to harness this ability and use it as a tool to help resolve other peoples’ problems, as it gives her a window into their current emotions, and allows her to help each individual patient accordingly. All abilities have a downside though, and hers is no exception: she tends to avoid large crowds and social gatherings due to the fact that the huge influx of feelings from all the people surrounding her is overwhelming and almost painful to bear. She’s perfectly at ease with small groups, and will not hesitate to make new acquaintances when given the opportunity. Soft-spoken and easygoing, she makes and keeps friends easily.
Lily’s story is rather interesting in that it resembles a fairy-tale more than reality. She was born into royalty in a distant, unheard-of country, the eldest of two daughters. From birth, she was in line to succeed the throne once her parents stepped down, being their oldest child. Schooled by a governess with only her sister for a classmate, she didn’t think much of her ability to sense emotions, nor did she think it was abnormal in any way. Only on the family’s first outing to ‘meet and greet’ with their people did Lily first experience the overpowering sensation of being mentally leveled by an enthusiastic crowd. After telling her parents of this, they kept her restrained to the palace grounds, where she could not be disturbed by the simple presence of hundreds of citizens. For the next year or so, she brooded on this matter, and finally decided that she was not fit for the throne. After all, people wanted a leader who could lead them…not one that could hardly even stand their presence. So, as soon as she was old enough to strike out on her own, she left the lands and traveled to Evelon, where she set up a practice of her own to continue doing what she loves best: helping others.

Notes:
About: Loki is an enigma - there is not a single soul, living or dead, who could come anywhere near saying that they understand him on any level. He likes to play his cards close to his chest, figuratively speaking, and as far as anyone knows, he keeps to himself for the most part, garnering neither friends nor enemies to his name. No one quite knows where he came from; the one thing that is known is that he is not a native of these lands, but his origins are shrouded in shadow and secrecy. This is partially because people tend to be somewhat intimidated by him, and hence, are more than happy to give him plenty of space, afraid of the consequences which might come of prying, or even mis-speaking in his presence. His existence was made common knowledge when Velius one day announced the addition of a new council member, seemingly out of the blue, and he has been there ever since, as far as anyone can remember.
Loki's powers are part of what makes him as intimidating of a character as he is. He is commonly known as the 'Trickster God', but the title is somewhat misleading. His dealings are made between mortals and gods alike, and the way he functions is by offering a deal as an incentive for some sort of exchange. These usually do not entail physical objects, but rather more intangible assets. There is no perceptible limitation to his powers - he has even brought the dead back to life and on more than one occasion in the past. Yet, while he is powerful, there is always a price involved with every deal he mediates. Those who seek to make dealings with him should be warned to err on the side of caution though; there are unspoken conditions to most every exchange, and more often than not, people wind up with more on their hands than they bargained for. He will never lie to you, a fact which he will hold his honor to, and yet at the same time partial truths are not lies either.
The only person who he's known to have had any extensive dealings with him is Velius, but no one knows what that entailed. Considering how tight-lipped he is about it (and no one would think to ask Loki himself about anything), it can only be assumed that it is something of a personal nature. No one has yet found any reason to challenge Loki's position on the council thus far, and as long as Velius continues to approve of his presence, the other members will continue coexisting with him, never knowing the history behind this mysterious character.

About: Lyssa doesn’t technically exist. Yes, she is solid flesh and bone and firmly attached to this plane of reality, but for all other intents and purposes, her existence is entirely unknown to all but a select few. This is due to the fact that she is completely off the radar – a feat accomplished by very few. Lyssa is a special ops agent; one of the handful of elites honed by the government to carry out missions of the highest priority and of the most covert nature. As such, she has undergone the most thorough and strenuous training in armed and unarmed combat, the most advanced modern warfare technology, basic survival, and withstanding interrogation (to name but a few). Primarily, her job was to act as a ghost, mostly operating alone to capture intel, extract other agents, and discreetly eliminate those whom the government deemed ‘enemy targets’. She is exceedingly good at what she does, and was well-recognized for her abilities during her time of service. Those, however, have since ground to a rather abrupt (and somewhat less than harmonious) end. In fact, she has actually been placed on the government’s top priority hit list, and is currently running for her life from the very people whom she spent her entire career serving.
It all began when she was a child; with two parents who were ex-military, Lyssa was always destined to join the forces herself. It was her lifelong dream to be strong – to be able to fight for good and protect the weak. She would have been out of place in a civilian life, as helpless and misplaced as a fish out of water. Even before she was old enough to enroll, she was taking private lessons from her parents, and for that reason (coupled with her own drive to succeed), she excelled at the academy and quickly outstripped even her own mother and father. She was handpicked and recruited to go into the special forces, and she took the opportunity gladly, knowing that her skills would be better utilized there and that she would be geared to do so with only the best that the government had. For many years she was content with her place in the world; sure, her job entailed more danger than most other people would see in a lifetime, but it made her feel alive – like she was making an impact on the world for good. But like all good things, that illusion couldn’t last forever.
It was just another regular mission at first – extract intel from some research facility out in the middle of nowhere and get out. Quite simple, really. Everything went smoothly and as planned, up until she checked the data to ensure that she’d gotten what she’d left for. It turned out she’d extracted more than what she was meant to (being the ‘better safe than sorry’ kind of gal she was and all). The government had told her that they were keeping tabs on this facility – that they weren’t lying about. However, it was the motives behind her mission which were…conveniently lost in translation. It was true, they were keeping tabs on this particular mad scientist and his work. It just turned out that the work he was doing was also for them. The things she saw happening in that facility, the things being done to animals and people alike, it was enough to turn the stomach of even a hardened veteran like herself. After what she saw, there was no question in her mind that the government which she served was no better than those she’d thought she’d been fighting for all those years. However, the options left to her were few and far between, and each less viable than the last. She managed to rescue one creature as she withdrew from the facility – a Hunter being tormented in an attempt to extract any form of genetic information from its crystalline body, most likely in hopes of being able to splice that mutation into creatures with more…malleable forms.
It didn’t take long for the government to discover that one of their best agents had gone AWOL, and since that day, she has been on the run from both organizations, a harder task than it might sound. As a result, the experience has hardened her, and made her perhaps more trigger-happy (and definitely more cynical) than she was in the past, which is certainly saying something. Since her defection, countless agents have been sent to dispatch her under a myriad of different disguises – some she recognized, others she didn’t. She spared those that she could afford to, but when push came to shove, it was her before them. There will be no rest for her in the foreseeable future, especially considering the fact that the military life is the only one which she has ever known. She only hopes that perhaps one day, she will find someone whom she can entrust the intel to. After all, it is the only thing left that she owns (aside from her gear) which is of any worth.
