Neon


Zeddicus Zu'l Zorander (Z for short)

Neon walked threw the entrance to the Caverns.
Sitting on his back was a Baby Doom Kitty.
"Are you all right back there Z?" Neon asked softly.
Z nodded softly.
He wasn't able to talk, only telepathically.
Neon was being sent out to find an Akail.
He knew they wouldn't find anything.
This would be the fourth time his owner has sent pets to find one.
Z looked at Neon, what he did when he would use his telecanisis.
"Z, we are going to try, but it is suppost to be really hard to see one." He replied to what Z had said.
Walking slowly, the two disappeared into the darkness.

Rythm

The palowockee walked into the caverns, sighing mentally at the memory of cheerful Bianca sending him on another silly wild creature search. An akail this time, huh? Fine, but she didn't have to be so cheerful about it. Why couldn't the little fairy be more like her bonded, Marii? If she was Marii's voice, shouldn't she have the same personality? Thinking back, Rythm was sure that the mute clone had never cracked a smile. Ever.

Shaking the thoughts from his head, he noticed a khimera with something on its back. He thought it was a baby doom kitty but wasn't sure from this distance. Feeling like doing something weird to say hello, he mentally replayed a strange alien-like sound effect from a movie. Projecting it outward, the UFO sounds filled the cavern opening. How would the two react, he wondered.

Z jumped.
He started to look around.
His face showed fear.
"It's ok Z, it's probably an Akail." Neon said trying to comfort him.
Z nodded.
Neon looked around.
He was now excited that there was an Akail around.

Seeing the reaction, Rythm collapsed onto the ground, literally rolling in silent laughter. The sound wavered due to the lack of concentration, and was soon replaced with sounds of laughing. No doubt the poor Khimera would be mad, but Rythm couldn't really help it, it was his nature.

Finally controling his thoughts a bit, a few words managed to break through the laughter. Sorry, sorry, I just had to!
Yet for some reason, he started laughing harder. Suprising that he could still breathe like this...

Neon turned around.
"What? It was you?" He asked.
He was getting a little annoyed now.
Z jumped up and down, trying to calm him.
Neon gritted his teeth and looked back down the tunnel.
"Whatever!" He yelled.
He started back off.
If the Palowockee was going to play games.
Then Neon wasn't interested.
There were more important things to do.

Not the reaction he expected, to be honest. He stopped laughing as the Khimera began to walk away, and quickly jumped to his feet. Hey wait! He mentally shouted after them, picking up his pace until he was right behind the Khimera. Oh, so it was a baby doom kitty on his back. I'm not looking for trouble, for once. He whined, trying to apologize. He wasn't the kind of trickster to bug people unless they did something first. Occasionally, he'd just have a need to trick somebody, like now. What're you doing here anyway? He asked, trying to spark up a conversation.

Neon growled warningly to the Palowockee.
The Palowockee had gotten on his bad side.
Z could tell and decided to talk for him.
"We are in search of an Akail." He said telepathicly.
His voice had a sound of age in it even though his body was young.
Neon puffed a breath in anger.
"But it is none of your business." He growled.
Neon kept walking, not making eye contact to the Palowockee.
But Z did.
His eyes showed that of a young boy.
They twinkled in the dim light coming from Neons Neck and tails.

Seeing that the Khimera was angry now, Rythm sighed inwardly. However, he wasn't about to go away. Not yet; he was stubborn. Well, at least the baby doom kitty was responding better. Deciding to ignore the Khimera for now, he looked up at the creature on its back.

He found it strange, that the voice sounded older, while the size and eyes suggested otherwise. So they were searching for an Akail too. An Akail? Funny, I'm on a search for one too. He replied with a smile glinting in his eyes, more like a large grin actually.

Z nodded.
He tried to use body language more then the mind.
It used less energy.
Neon growled again.
"Just don't get in the way." He said in an annoyed tone.
This Palowockee wasn't going to get on Neon's good side for some time.
And Z knew that.
So Z decided to comfort the Palowockee from Neon's harsh words.
"Don't pay any attention to Neon, you started off on a wrong foot with him." He said calmly to him in his old tone.
Then after some time he jumped up.
"Oh my, I didn't even think to introduce ourselves." He said.
"My name is Zeddicus Zu'l Zorander, but you can call me Z. And my companiosn name is Neon." He added.
Then looking like he was lost in thought, turned back to the Palowockee.
"And what is your name?" He asked kindly.

Started off on the wrong foot, huh? Not very uncommon around him...he seemed to have a knack for getting people around him wound up. Going to have to work on that. Wha-? Z had a strange name, cirtainly unique. Ah, my name's Rythm. Nice to meet you, Z. Out of habit, he left out the name of the one he was ignoring. Perhaps that was part of the problem. Er...and Neon. He murmured, unsure. This was a tough thing, being unannoying; how did everyone manage it?

((Sorry if 'unannoying' is improper, I wasn't sure what the term would be...))

Z nodded with a smile.
Neon just ignored him.
Z chuckled slightly.
He was use to Neon's grumpy attitudes.
Neon just got more annoyed.
"Keep concentrated on the task!" He yelled at Z.
Z just gave him a nasty look.
"So, have you heard any stories of the Akail?" Asked Z to Rythm.
He liked hearing stories of Evelon, and learning more knowledge.
