TOPIC REVIVAL FTW! THREE CHEERS FOR SAPPH! HIP HIP, HURRAH! HIP HIP, HURRAH! HIP HIP, HURRAH!
Sliced havarti. Not the imported stuff from Denmark, but it'll suffice.
I actually want to rant about the Ariel's Grotto restaurant at California Adventure. I'll keep it short, don't worry.
THEY HAD EUROPEAN REGIONAL MEATS AND CHEESES. AND OLIVES FROM THE MEDITERRANEAN. AND THEY HAD OLIVE OIL ON HAND. THEY HAD FRIGGIN' OLIVE OIL FOR MY BREAD.
It was nearly as good as my mom's cooking, and I'm fortunate enough to have a mother with serious skills in the kitchen. (Her Italian is as good as it gets outside of Italy, and it's probably because she paid strict attention to my Italian/Portuguese grandfather when she was younger. And while she was in college, she took culinary arts just for fun.)
I mean, the last time I was at that place, the food was pretty good, but last week it was like, "Am I still in North America?"
Okay, I'm good.
The King beneath the mountains,
The King of carven stone,
The lord of silver fountains
Shall come into his own!
His crown shall be upholden,
His harp shall be restrung,
His halls shall echo golden
To songs of yore re-sung.
The streams shall run in gladness,
The lakes shall shine and burn,
All sorrow fail and sadness
