Part 1
~Rainbow~

~Killer~

After Rainbow was kicked out of her tribe, for who knows what, she decided she would walk alone for as long as she would need. Hunt alone, sleep alone, be alone. She was tired of climbing and traveling, her paws were almost wore out. She decided she had to rest, so she went for the closest cave she could find. As she laid down to sleep, she heard a growl coming from farther back in the cave. She turned behind to see a snarling male werecain standing right in front of her snout. She snarled back in defiance and pounced on the snarling scarred male. He quickly flung her off at one of the cave's walls. She hit it with a single yelp of pain. "Get off my territory!" The attacker snarled. "Territory! Bah! Only tribes have territories." Rainbow laughed. The attacker only snarled more. "No, not really, fool." He laughed at the color of Rainbow's fur. "Ha! How do you hunt with that on your body?" Rainbow snarled even more. "What's your name?" She growled.
"Killer."
"Well, Killer, why don't you give me another shot at killing you, eh?" Rainbow said as she pounced on Killer. She was never any good at threats. She bent her head down and aimed to bite Killer's neck.........

Part 2

But Killer slashed her off with his front paws and only snarled more. Rainbow flew off Killer and smacked into the wall. She let out a cry of pain as she fell to the ground. She surrendered. Killer laughed. "Now do you believe that tribes aren't the only ones protective of their territory?" He dashed over to finish off Rainbow, but he felt something, sort of a lovey feeling. He was in love with Rainbow. So instead of killing her, he picked her up and tended to her wounds with some old tricks he learned. "W-Why are you helping me?" Rainbow asked. "Are you just going to kill me later?" Killer laughed. "No, my sweet. Just rest." Rainbow was confused. She thought she must be dead. My sweet? She thought. Why would he love me? He just tried to kill me!!
As soon as Rainbow was healed she decided to start back on her journey. "I'm coming with you." Killer said. Rainbow shook her head. "No, Killer! You tried to kill me remember!" Rainbow growled. Killer looked at his orange, scarred paws. "Please?" He begged. Rainbow couldn't resist saying no. She could never say no to a beg. "Fine. Come along." She sighed. Killer was surprised he had won so easily. Rainbow walked out of the cave with Killer following behind. "So... Why are you with me?" Rainbow asked. She wanted to make sure that he loved her before she got any ideas. "I....I think I love you.." Killer replied. Rainbow knew it. "Guess we aren't loners anymore..." Rainbow muttered. Killer was pleased with his new life. Maybe if they got lucky, they could start their own tribe......

Part 3

That thought was out of Rainbow's mind. She was still very confused about the fact that Killer randomly started to love her, and take care of her. Right after he tried to kill her. She walked along the soft grass with him at her side. "You look confused...and troubled. Is something bothering you?" Killer asked worriedly. Rainbow just sighed and shook her head. "Nope. Nothing." Killer had doubts about her answer. He could tell something was confusing her. Rainbow stopped. Her stomach growled, no roared. She was starving. "Killer, can we find a place to stay for the night?" She begged. Killer sighed. "Fine. I'll catch us some food while you settle down." He answered and showed her the way into a dark cave. Rainbow laid down on a pile of moss that Killer put down for her. He left to hunt, but returned shortly with large prey. Rainbow and Killer shared the meal. It tasted better than anything, only because they were starving. Rainbow laid her head on her large paws and fell into a light sleep. Killer on the other hand, fell into a deeper sleep. His snoring echoed on the cave walls, but Rainbow didn't mind. It sort of soothed her. Maybe she was falling in love with Killer as well.....

Part 4

When she woke up, Killer had brought her some more kill. "Killer, I'm not the kind of werecain that always
goes hungry!" She complained. Her stomach was still full from last night's meal and she couldn't eat another bite. "Oh...I just thought I'd be ready...Just in case." Killer explained. Then he coughed. "Ow! That hurt my throat!" He said hoarsely. "Oh no!" Rainbow gasped. "Come on, lets find a lake for you to drink from." Killer followed her to the lake and took big laps of water with his enormous tongue. "Does that help?" Rainbow asked. She knew he was sick, werecains in her old tribe had died of extreme coughing like that. "A little." Killer coughed again. Rainbow was worried. "Um... Maybe there is a plant somewhere that can heal you.." Rainbow suggested. Killer tried to sigh, but another cough came out instead. "I think....*cough cough*...That would be miles aw-aw *cough*... Away from here." Killer answered. "Okay, maybe we can just try a little rest." Rainbow led Killer back to the cave they had been sleeping in. "Here, you sleep on the moss." She said as he laid down on it. "Get some rest, love. You'll be healed in no time." Killer started to close his eyes. She called me love... He smiled and drifted off to sleep............

Part 5

Killer's eyes flashed open as quickly as possible when a scream was heard from outside the cave. He swiftly turned his head to see what was wrong, and saw that a nightmare had become real. Rainbow was being mauled by a whole pack of their kind....but BIGGER. A lot bigger! They were the toughest werecains that Killer had ever seen...And Killer has seen a lot of tough creatures! He sprang into action "Lay off *coughcoughcoughHAACCKK!* her, mongrel!" He said as he leaped toward the one attacking Rainbow. Killer clawed and bit at the werecain as hard as he could. Blood covered the both of them as they struggled to get away from each other. As Killer finished up the attack, the stronger werecain got up and ran. The rest of the pack ran with him. "That should teach y*coughCOUGH* you a lesson!" He screamed. That didn't help his throat at all...And neither did any of the wounds he got either. He now had a huge scar across his eye and other scars covered his body. Blood marked all over his fur and he felt awful. Looks like the unscratched Rainbow would have to heal him some more.....

Part 6

The next morning Killer opened his eyes so Rainbow could really see the wound. Neither of them thought it would be as bad as it was. Killer had lost an eye. That explained why that eye hurt the most even though it had a smaller scar than the other. Killer now kept that eye closed, so nobody would have to see his terrible injury. "It's okay, Rainbow...I'm...*cough*....fine." Killer tried to reassure his loved one. "I know...But just the thought.....The fighters in my pack would never let one of us lose an eye.." Killer licked Rainbow's cheek, but that didn't do much. Small tears fell from the colorful werecain's eyes and her head dropped to her paws. "Rainbow, darling, I'm fine. I promise you. Werecains in the pack I used to be in has way worse wounds than this.." Killer said no more. He already knew he said enough. More tears fell from Rainbow's eyes, and Killer decided he'd better just shut up for the day....

Part 7

When Killer decided it was okay to talk again he tried to calm Rainbow down. "Please, Rainbow. I'm fine. I'm not like the other ones in my old pack. Why do you think I left?" That didn't help much at all. But after a few minutes, Rainbow finally came to her senses. "I.....I guess that makes sense.." She sighed. "But....but why do...why do you keep trying to say you're okay? You aren't and you know that." Killer sighed. She was right. He did know that he wasn't okay. "I'm sorry, love." He tried to apologize. "I know...I forgive you..I guess." Rainbow was still oddly quiet. "Promise you'll never say you're something you aren't ever again?"
"Promise."
"Good." The two werecains smiled at each other for a while, then decided it was time to sleep before the new day that would come tomorrow....

Part 8

Killer opened his eye to the burning sunlight that lit up the cave and shined off the rock. Rainbow was already up and had breakfast ready to eat. Killer's throat was already feeling better and he leaned over for a bite. "Ugh. That tastes awful." Killer spat after he swallowed the meat. "I know. But it's all we have. So you better enjoy it." Rainbow growled. Killer got up and started to walk. One step and he tripped. He hit the floor with a puppy-like yelp then howled in pain. "Killer! Wait here! I'll be back soon!" Rainbow ran out of the cave in search for the right plant. It was a very dull shade of green and had huge wrinkled leaves. But no matter how ugly it was, it was needed for the wound....

Part 9

Rainbow ran through the endless forest that seemed to be deserted. It was so quiet and dull. It was so hard to find a specific dull plant in such a forest. She sniffed everywhere and dug her claws and snout in to the most random places looking for it. She found a large hole that was covered by vines and leaves and dug her claws into it. Right when she pulled up the vines a screech was heard and a dark being flew through the air. "Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!"


Rainbow was knocked back against a tree. When she opened her eyes she saw it. The plant. She went to grab it with her mouth but the being from the hole wouldn't let her. "You must NOT take that plant, young werecain! Touch it and you die!"

Part 10

"No! My friend... No... My love has lost an eye and he's in pain! He needs this plant to help him heal!" She snarled viciously and snapped up the plant in her muzzle. "I warned you, fool!" The strange beast jumped at Rainbow. Rainbow ran out of the way toward the cave. The beast started flying faster, and soon he was close enough to hit her against a tree. He whacked her with his wing and she flew through the air and hit a large pine. "Nobody disobeys Nightmare and lives!" The beast snarled at her as he slowly approached her. The scene looked like an innocent dog being stalked by an angry coyote. "I....I" Rainbow couldn't speak. Just before Nightmare was about to attack, an unseen figure jumped out of a bush and tackled him out of the way. "Killer?" Rainbow asked hopefully....

Part 11



"Haha. I am a killer. But my name isn't Killer. I'm Battleclaw. Open your eyes, young one. What is your name?" The figure turned out to be a battlefield fellox. Rainbow disappointingly opened her eyes. "I'm Rainbow.." She said weakly. The fellox turned around and started fighting Nightmare again. "Fight all you want, fool! The werecain will never get her paws on my plant!" Battleclaw slashed Nightmare with his claws and sent him running off into the woods. He turned his head to Rainbow. "Come on. I'll take the plant." Battleclaw nudged Rainbow up and picked the plant. He started on toward the cave, unaware that the biggest journey of his life would begin when he got there...

(not part of story) I didn't realize I would have people asking me for more. Of course I will write more, since I haven't written in a while I just need to get my thoughts back together.
