You enter, walking under a huge stone arch with the words "The Marvelous Menagerie" carved into it. Beyond it is a vast expanse covered with pens and enclosures filled with an assortment of creatures. A friendly human with cat ears and tail greets you, then hurries onward, her arms full of packages of food.

You come to the first enclosure, a large pen with a rocky cliff, and woodlands surrounding it. Inside, you see several creatures frolicking, and two others sitting together and watching them. There is no door, so it seems they are free to come and go as they wish.

As you walk along, you come to another pen. This one is made of steel with thick glass windows, and a barred door with several locks. However, the creatures inside don't seem especially dangerous. They are loafing around on a couple of boulders near a beautiful waterfall. But you do not fail to notice the crafty look in their eyes, hidden beneath a mask of innocence.

Continuing on, you come to a large pen, full of lush grass. The door to it is wide open, meaning that its occupants are free to roam. Circling around the pen, you finally catch sight of the creature inside. It seems kind of depressed, staring out into nothing, chewing idly on a piece of grass. There are two other Cavallions, but they are light and cheery compared to him.

There is a small pen past the Cavallions that looks almost like a room in a house. There is a bed, and a dresser, and toys all over the floor. But there is no sign of any inhabitants. You are about to give up and go ahead and read the sign, but then you decide to peer under the bed. A pair of eyes look out at you through the darkness under the bed.

Once in the army, she has the sort of no-nonsense personality you'd expect from a high-ranking officer. Her policy is that you can never be too prepared for an outbreak of fighting.

The main zookeeper walks by again. She stops next to a small dogwood tree. Curious, you approach and see that there is a plaque nailed into the tree's bark. The cat-girl moves on, but you see a cute little face peek out from between the leaves as soon as her back turns. In a burst of light fur and feathered wings, the creature flies over to Kitty and perches on her shoulder. Purring happily, it folds its wings and snuggles up to the keeper of the Menagerie who continues walking, but reaches one hand up to pat it. A warm feeling in your heart, you look at the plaque to find out more about this endearing little pet.

This is because her love is so intense that she can only give it to one or two. But I feel that she still has more love to give, and is waiting for the one to give it to. She would give up her life to save me, and seems to have taken a liking to Aurelia, also, which isn't too surprising since they have a lot in common.

You come to a pen filled with lush plants and soft silk blankets. A mound of treasure and trinkets is visible in one corner. Strangely enough, despite all this finery, the pen appears empty.

He is impossible to keep in his pen, and only visits it to drop off some more of his treasures, before disappearing again. He is searching for some lost heirloom or treasure that has great meaning to him. Not one to show his emotions easily, he prefers to remain calm and detached from those around him.

A flat pen full of flowing brown grasses next greets your eyes. A single large, golden orb is suspended above the tall grass, the only sign of this denizen.

Next you come to a medium-sized enclosure. It has been made to resemble a desert, with sand, desert shrubs and rocks being the main scenery. There are also enormous heating lamps hanging above the pen that are emitting plenty of heat. You find  yourself sweating, even though you're not even directly underneath them. The air even seems to feel more dry.

You come to another nondescript pen, containing simply grass. There are rocks, though, and a cave, with a sad looking Sahound laying in the cave entrance. He looks over at the pen with Scout, Aurelia, Elle, Shade, Tristan, Josette and Tiffany in it with longing in his eyes.

For any emotion at all might trigger the change, though it's usually hate or anger.

The last lady that he gave his heart to broke it, so now he has a past, with a pestilential Bleeder following him everywhere to remind him.

Dense dark trees crowd together inside another pen. In a tiny clearing within, you catch a glimpse of a dark Rexxel, mashing up some leaves into a poultice and muttering to herself.

And so he fled here, to this sanctuary, where he is staying until such time as he has the courage to face his destiny.

You come to yet another pen, this one featuring a swamp surrounded by mangrove trees. A sign in the middle of the mire says "Caution! Do not approach water's edge!"

A few snowflakes drift down into an icy pen. Amidst the snowdrifts, and grey boulders, there is a flash of blue. A white Taigra lays, watching you. A second creature sits on a boulder, smiling faintly while looking at you, and a third lies curled up in the snow, one pink eye open.

There is a large pen of sparse trees and a large open field. From over a grassy knoll you hear a whinny, and the sound of hoofbeats. Curious, you crane your neck to see better, then feel a tingle of fear down your back. For the two equines racing toward you over the hilltop are not normal in any sense of the word. Their very essence is frightening and dark.

Never get her roiled up, for if she charges through you then, you may never recover from her feelings of anger and hatred. It's one special characteristic of hers that she can put her emotions into others when she runs through them.

He used to be in the circus, until they got tired of him escaping and eating them out of house and home every night, so he knows a variety of circus tricks and has the heart of a performer.

Continuing on, you come to probably the strangest cage in this whole zoo, with the strangest creature. Inside the cage, there are no lights, but when you squint, you can faintly make out the dark grass that covers the ground and the glittering shine of faint sunlight on water in one corner. The walls of the pen are painted black except for the reinforced glass one that you are looking through. You watch for any signs of movement, and spy a pair of eyes gleaming at you through the darkness. Leisurely, as if simply to humor you, a Khimera walks over to the glass, and into the faint light that seeps into the cage from outside. You take in a gasp of breath at its fierce, untamed beauty.

He has many regrets and wishes with all of his heart that the curse of his half-life could be lifted from him so that he could have a clear conscience.

The forbidding presence of the woods seems to oppress your spirit as you stand outside the boundary of the dark trees. You hear the sound of a low howl from further into the woodlands, and tell yourself that you're imagining it as fear causes you to break into a cold sweat. Dare you enter?

You come upon a huge oak tree with a wooden sign pinned to it that contains information about a pet. Looking around, you see a hummingbird-like creature with its beak buried deep into the bark of one limb of the tree.

As you trudge onward, you come to a large pen. It is dark inside, and the only furnishings are a big pool of water, a lot of large rocks and a few, leafless trees perched on rocky terrain that covers the entire cage floor. Crouching on one particularly big boulder is a frightening Serraptor with dark orange and black scales. It watches you, like a cat watching a mouse that is just outside of its reach. You suddenly feel grateful for the very thick glass separating it from you.

Past the Serraptor's pen, you come to a heavily rainforested enclosure. It takes you several minutes of peering and squinting to see one of its inhabitants, a Mossdog, because it is so well camouflaged. Lazily, it scratches itself with one claw, its eyes narrowed in pleasure. Further on, you catch a glimpse of a red and white Serraptor prowling around. You wonder what else could be hidden behind the trees.

A large enclosure, with a high screen top providing plenty of room to fly is next. As you look into the cage, you get the eerie feeling that you're being watched. You whirl around to see the second zookeeper, Kay-Lee, lounging against a tree, her black hair up in a bun. Her skin seems strangely pale, and is it just you, or is that a reddish tint in her eyes? A little creeped out now, you turn back to the pen just as one of the occupants emerges from a rock cave.

A rocky cave dominates the next pen. It extends so far back, you can't see the end of it. All sorts of strange symbols are carved on the walls. Squatting nearby is a Temple Gyrraptor. It is carving some more strange, curlicue symbols into the rock with its claws.

The next pen has a tall, electric chain-link fence. Curious to know what kind of creature requires such high security, you look in to see a young boy crying in a corner. "Please, please let me out!" he pleads with you. Next to him, a little girl cries, her eyes round and watery. Confused, you look at the ever present information tablet to tell you what this is all about.

It appears to be arguing with a small reptile-like creature that is continually dripping blood from a crack in its head. Then, it disappears along with the creature, but when you approach where they once stood, you find an information card that you pick up.

He rather enjoys it, for it gives him a chance to see more of the world, while getting on Severino's nerves with his sadistic comments, and constant bleeding.

A smaller pen is in front of you. It is full of lush jungle plants, and you can feel the moisture and humidity emanating from it. Several brightly colored insects crawl over the leaves. A Kamee sits on a branch, picking them off one by one. A bizarre instrument sits in one corner of the cage, resembling a fusion of a guitar, harp and keyboard.

A jungle terrarium greets your eyes next. Your eyes rove through the undergrowth, searching for the inhabitant. Then a humongous insect appears suddenly out of the brush. Its head swivels towards you, multifaceted eyes examining you. Feeling frightened, you turn to the info plaque for comfort.

You come to yet another pen, this one bare and rocky, with no trees. Only a few small shrubs and weeds survive. A large heat lamp hangs over a massive, flat rock that has a snake curled up and basking on it.

Past the Slydra's pen, you come to a pen full of rainforest with a river running through it. But there's something strange about the trees... Many of them are covered in a black slime that resembles blackberry juice. A strange, black Slikey perches in one of the trees above the river. With a sudden graceful leap, it dives into the water and submerges.

There is a Sun Leawolf in the pen next to the Slikey's. It resides in a sparsely forested grassland enclosure with plenty of sunlight. It grins at you as you approach, and leaps over to the chain link fence, resting his big yellow paws on the top of it.

A gargantuan rocky pen is found behind the aquarium containing the Kuni. There is no vegetation whatsoever, only lots of rocks. Some of them appear to have been fashioned into sculptures. Two of them closely resemble some sort of dragon-like creature, you notice. Then one of them moves and you realize you are staring at the cage's occupants.
